Chapter 3 Dinner

The sun was about to set, and Qian Muchue put down the light pink notebook in her hand. On it was the result of her half-day work. The records were all about the work that could make money at home, so that she could make money and take care of the children at the same time.

Qian Muchue saw that Qian Xiaoya had not woken up yet and Grandma Qian had not come out of her room. She guessed that the old lady was still asleep, so she tiptoed out of the room, thinking of making dinner so that the old lady would have less work to do. She had worked hard all her life and it was time for her to enjoy herself at this age.

There is no refrigerator at home. When the weather is hot, fresh meat cannot be kept. Grandma Qian is reluctant to eat it herself, so she always buys a small piece for her granddaughter to eat alone so that her granddaughter can nourish her body. Therefore, the kitchen usually only has eggs laid by the hens at home and pickles made by Grandma Qian.

However, the original owner had been ill these past two days and had been eating light meals. Grandma Qian couldn't bear to eat the small piece of pork she had bought earlier, so she sliced it, fried it, put it in a bowl, and covered it with a plate so that it could be kept for a longer time for her granddaughter to eat.

Qian Muchue looked at the small bowl of meat slices with tears in her eyes. She had never enjoyed family affection in her life, but she was moved by Grandma Qian's deep love for her granddaughter. How could the original owner have pushed herself into a desperate situation with a grandmother who loved her so much? Fortunately, from today on, Grandma Qian was her grandmother, and she was also a child who was loved by someone.

Thinking that it would be difficult for the elderly to digest rice at night, Qian Muchue planned to make some egg and shredded pork noodles, which is convenient and time-saving. She beat three eggs and spread them into egg skins. Grandma Qian loved this kind of egg noodles. She also picked a handful of tender green vegetables from the vegetable garden, and the simple and delicious egg and shredded pork noodles were ready.

The noodles were divided into two large bowls and brought to the main room. When Grandma Qian came out of the room, she saw her granddaughter carrying two large bowls of noodles. The old lady swallowed unconsciously at the smell of the noodles.

"Grandma, the noodles are ready. Please eat them while they are hot. Yaya is still asleep." Qian Muchue said as she placed the bowl of noodles with more meat and eggs in Grandma Qian's place.

Grandma Qian was originally planning to go see Yaya first, but after hearing what her granddaughter said, she thought about finishing her meal quickly so that she could help her granddaughter take care of the baby when Yaya woke up.

This was the first time she had eaten food cooked by her granddaughter. Although the family was poor, Qian Muchue had never been asked to do housework. Grandma Qian was in good health and was very good at doing housework. In fact, the old lady didn't know that the original owner also did housework. She cooked, washed clothes and cleaned at her biological father's house.

Looking at the noodles in front of her, Grandma Qian felt both relieved and sad. She was relieved that Qian Muchue had grown up and become sensible, but she was sad that Qian Muchue was still so young and had to take care of a baby. What would she do in the future? Who was the bastard who harmed her granddaughter?

She was also scared when her granddaughter just came back. She asked who did it, but her granddaughter refused to say and just asked her to keep it a secret and not let anyone know. Now Yaya is several months old, and Qian's father and mother still don't know anything.

"Grandma, come and try your eldest granddaughter's cooking."

Seeing Grandma Qian staring at the noodles in a daze with worry on her brow, Qian Muchue probably guessed what the old lady was thinking, so she deliberately smiled and spoke to divert the old lady's thoughts.

"It's delicious! My eldest granddaughter is really talented. The first time she cooked, it was so delicious."

Upon hearing this, Grandma Qian hid her thoughts and took a mouthful of noodles with her chopsticks. Unexpectedly, it tasted even better than it smelled. She couldn't help but praise it. She took another mouthful with chopsticks and found that there were eggs and shredded meat at the bottom of the bowl. She felt distressed again.

"Why are you serving so many eggs and meat? Grandma is old, it would be a waste to eat so many good things. You are young and growing, so you need more nutrition."

As he said he wanted to pick up the eggs and meat at the bottom of the bowl and put it into Qian Muchue's bowl, Qian Muchue quickly picked up her own bowl and took it.

"Grandma, I'm not in good health right now. I shouldn't eat too much meat. Please eat more. I'll make you braised pork tomorrow. I'm a great cook. Just enjoy it."

"How can you eat like this? I'm an old woman and I just need to have rice to eat. It's a waste to eat meat. You can just eat it."

When the old lady heard that Qian Muchue was going to make braised pork for her tomorrow, she felt very relieved. It was enough that her granddaughter was thoughtful, but it would be a waste of money if she ate meat herself. Yaya needed milk powder now and would have to go to school in the future, so all the money had to be saved for Yaya.

"Don't waste it. I will make a lot of money in the future. Grandma, you should eat and drink well, enjoy yourself, live a long life, and accompany Yaya to grow up with me."

Qian Muchue said this sincerely, and Grandma Qian couldn't help but have tears in her eyes. Ever since her granddaughter returned to her son's home, she had never heard her say such caring words again. It was as if she had returned to many years ago, when the soft and sweet little granddaughter would share any delicious food with her grandmother and would take her grandmother with her wherever she went.

"Okay, grandma will watch Yaya grow up, and also watch my eldest granddaughter find a good husband."

After Grandma Qian finished speaking, she lowered her head and ate the noodles in the bowl in big mouthfuls. It was really delicious, the eggs were delicious, and the meat was delicious too.
