Chapter 23: Delivering Meals

Liang Wenyu smiled as he saw his sister holding the thermos. "Bringing food to my second brother? This is your first time!" Liang Yiyi placed the thermos on the table and glanced at his second brother's office. He happened to see a set of casual tables and chairs on the balcony, presumably where Liang Wenyu would relax after a hard day's work. "Hurry up, second brother, wash your hands. We steamed hilsa for lunch today. I've been bringing it to you non-stop, worried it'd get cold." "My sister Yiyi is the best to my second brother. She thinks of him even when he eats good food." "Of course, this hilsa is very nutritious. My second brother wastes so many brain cells every day, so of course he'll think of him when he has something good." But Liang Yiyi was certain, based on her intuition as a killer in her past life, that a gaze had just pierced through the layers of glass, and that gaze held ill intentions. No, that wasn't right. The gaze was supposedly directed at her second brother, and she was just passing by. Liang Yiyi had only happened to visit her brother's company today; that gaze wasn't meant for her; it was supposed to be directed at her second brother.
