Chapter 66 Strolling through the Night Market

Before we knew it, time flew by, and the sun slowly set.

Li Mu remained engrossed in his work, constantly flipping through stacks of documents.

My brain is working at lightning speed, and I'm getting a little dizzy from thinking.

Li Mu felt he couldn't hold on any longer. After reviewing the last document, he stood up and felt unsteady.

I stood there for a long time before I felt a little better, then picked up my bag and left the company.

Assistant Yao followed behind, about to open the car door for Li Mu, but was stopped by Li Mu.

I want to walk around by myself, don't follow me.

Okay, Mr. Mu.

Li Mu walked alone on the street, took a breath of fresh air, and felt a little better.

Looking up at the sky, it was almost dusk, and I stood there quietly.

A Rolls-Royce was parked quietly not far away.

Seeing that Li Mu made a move, the car started and followed at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.

Li Mu had already noticed it, and turned around to walk straight towards the Rolls-Royce.

"You've been following me for so long, come out," Li Mu said somewhat shamelessly, sitting on the hood of the car.

Sitting in the driver's seat, Qin Yin curled the corners of his lips, opened the car door and got out. This little girl has such a shameless side?

Upon hearing this voice, Li Mu stiffened, then forced a smile. "Uncle Qin, it's you!"

Hehe, she said, then stood up again, resuming her usual noble and elegant demeanor.

Actually, you don't need to pretend anything; that would be exhausting.

Think about it, I've seen your sadness, I've seen your loneliness, I've seen almost every state of your life. You should relax in front of me.

His playful demeanor slowly changed, and he gave a bitter laugh. "Yeah, why is it that you always seem to see me in any state?"

Seeing the little girl's mood instantly plummet, Qin Yin couldn't help himself. After mentally preparing himself, he pulled the dejected girl into his arms.

The little girl in his arms trembled, and Qin Yin's heart trembled as well.

Qin Yin steadily picked up Li Mu, opened the passenger door, and gently placed Li Mu in the seat.

I pulled out the driver's seat, sat down, and leaned back against it. Now you can release your emotions.

Li Mu herself didn't know what was wrong with her, but she actually burst into tears.

Qin Yin gently wiped away Li Mu's tears, his heart aching, but his face remained calm and composed.

Seeing Qin Yin's smile, Li Mu slowly wiped away her tears and glanced at Qin Yin with some embarrassment.

My voice was a little soft. Uncle Qin, why are you staring at me like that?

Qin Yin chuckled. "What, do you think I can stop you from crying now that I'm looking at you?"

Li Mu ignored him and looked out of the car.

Cough cough, I'm a little hungry. Is the little girl hungry too?

Li Mu remained silent.

Qin Yin thought for a moment, his lips twitching as he suppressed a laugh. It wouldn't be good to eat too much oily food tonight. He suggested stir-fried shrimp, stir-fried pea shoots, and mushroom porridge.

"Hmm, it's a bit too bland, isn't it? Let's have some spicy diced chicken," he said, leaning down to glance at the little girl's expression.

The little girl's eyes were shining; she seemed to be smitten.

Qin Yin smiled, started the car, and Li Mu followed him back to Qin Yin's suite.

Qin Yin cut some fruit, poured a glass of juice, put on an apron, and started cooking.

Li Mu picked up a slice of watermelon with a fork, leaned against the kitchen doorway, and watched Qin Yin busy in the kitchen. She couldn't help but think to herself, "Uncle Qin is actually acting like a stay-at-home husband." Thinking about it, she burst out laughing.

Hearing the laughter, Qin Yin turned to look at the little girl.

What are you laughing at? Happy things should be shared!

I didn't laugh at all; Uncle Qin really looks like a stay-at-home dad now.

Whoever marries you will be so happy they'll faint every day.

Hearing this, Qin Yin's eyes deepened slightly. "Then what kind of person do you think would suit me?"

After thinking about it, Li Mu said, "I think Uncle Qin would be better suited to someone more lively and cheerful, so you two can complement each other."

Oh, really? The tone was ambiguous.

And what about you?

Me? What happened to me?

What kind of person do you like?

I... I haven't thought about it. And I probably won't get married.

Qin Yin didn't say anything more after hearing the little girl's tone, and started cooking seriously.

Li Mu quietly looked at the mature and steady man in front of her.

Once the dishes were ready, Qin Yin, as before, served them to the table one by one, without letting Li Mu touch them, finishing what he started.

A bowl of mushroom porridge was placed in front of Li Mu.

"The porridge was prepared in advance and cooled down. Try it and see if it suits your taste," Qin Yin said gently.

Li Mu nodded, scooped up a spoonful and put it in his mouth. It was smooth and had the delicious flavor of shiitake mushrooms.

It's delicious! I love this mushroom congee.

"Okay," Qin Yin nodded. "If you like it, just let me know when you want to eat it."

Don't worry, I won't hold back.

Alright, let's eat. I'm a little hungry. Saying this, I ladled out a bowl of porridge for myself.

Wait, isn't there a bowl of food next to Uncle Qin?

Oh, that bowl is for you. By the time you finish it, it'll be pretty cold.

After saying that, she picked up her chopsticks and started eating. It was clear that she was really hungry, but she still ate with such elegance.

After finishing the meal, Qin Yin cleared away the plates, washed the bowls and chopsticks, and put them back in their original places.

Let's go, I'll take you home.

"I'm not very sleepy right now, I'd like to take a walk," Li Mu said, shaking his head.

"Okay, I'll go with you," Qin Yin said, taking a coat and draping it over Li Mu's shoulders. He then turned and went to the bedroom to get another coat, which he put on as well.
