Chapter 33 How come you are so brave?
Su Ruanruan couldn't figure out why Xiao Chengjin did this, so she simply stopped thinking about it.
She put the cans on the kitchen table and went to cook.
I steamed enough rice for two people, stir-fried some green vegetables, and also made stir-fried beans with shredded pork.
The meat is all lean and there is very little of it.
Su Runrun wanted to fry more, but if she made too much, she might not be able to find a perfect answer when Granny Chen asked her about it. She could only put in a little bit of meat to satisfy her craving.
Cooking on a clay stove is very quick. Rice is steamed in a small pot and vegetables are stir-fried in a big pot. Everything is ready in less than half an hour.
Su Ruanruan simply filled two lunch boxes with rice, put half of each dish on the rice, then covered the lids and carried them to find Grandma Chen.
When Su Ruanruan arrived, she saw Grandma Chen just taking out a pancake and preparing to eat it with water. "Grandma, heat up the pancakes when you get home tonight. I brought some food!"
"Didn't I tell you not to rush back? You finally made it to town, why are you in such a hurry to come back? You're back, why don't you just rest at home? Why are you coming to deliver food to me? It's the middle of the day, and it's so hot!"
Even though Grandma Chen kept talking, she couldn't stop smiling.
