"What a joke! You're supposed to cure all kinds of dissatisfaction? Let's go see tomorrow how you can cure all kinds of dissatisfaction like me."
Du Bin didn't believe in any of the various complaints, nor did he believe that Du Chen would do anything to make him unable to walk tomorrow. He had gained a lot of experience in the past six months in Beijing. He was just waiting to see how Du Chen would admit defeat and how embarrassed he would be tomorrow.
"That's what you said. I still don't believe that you don't have anything you like now."
Du Chen and Du Bin were joking, thinking about how to punish Du Bin for being stubborn.
Around 6:30 the next morning, people were already setting off firecrackers. Du Chen woke up and lay in bed, thinking that it wasn't even New Year's Eve yet, so why were people setting off firecrackers outside?
"Chenchen, are you up?"
Du Chen was lying there thinking about this problem. Du Bin had already pushed open his bedroom door with sleepy eyes, yawned and asked Du Chen, since he was awake, Du Chen couldn't sleep either.
"Wake up, brother. Were you also woken up by the sound of firecrackers?"
"Well, why are these twenty-nine people setting off firecrackers? Are they all so rich? Hurry up and get washed up."
After complaining, Du Bin walked towards the bathroom and reminded Du Chen at the same time.
The two of them dawdled until 6:50 before they were ready to go out. At that time, Comrade Lao Du and Ren Surong had just woken up.
"You guys can just grab a bite to eat on the street. I won't be making breakfast today."
Ren Surong shouted to the two brothers while lying in bed.
"Okay, Mom. We won't be back for lunch either, so you don't have to wait for us."
Du Chen replied to his mother, and then the two brothers left the house.
Just after going down one floor, Ding Miaomiao, who heard the noise, opened the door and came out. Looking at the energetic Ding Miaomiao, Du Chen felt that he and Du Bin were like old people, both yawning and listless, while Ding Miaomiao's eyes were bright and full of energy. The difference was obvious in comparison.
"Sister Miaomiao, aren't you sleepy?"
Du Chen asked curiously.
"I'm not sleepy. Why would I be sleepy just after waking up? Did you two steal coal last night? Why do you still have dark circles under your eyes?"
Looking at the two listless people, Ding Miaomiao asked curiously.
"I didn't sleep well. I was just woken up by firecrackers."
Du Chen yawned and said to Ding Miaomiao.
"What time did you guys go to bed?"
"I read a book for a while, around eleven o'clock."
Du Chen answered evasively, saying that he read a novel until almost twelve o'clock.
"How about you, Du Bin?"
"I watched TV until after twelve o'clock."
Du Bin also answered Ding Miaomiao with a big yawn.
"Sister Miaomiao, what time do you go to bed?"
"I went to bed around ten o'clock. My mom said that girls shouldn't stay up too late because they'll get wrinkles, and boys shouldn't stay up too late because they'll get bald."
At the end, Ding Miaomiao couldn't help laughing out loud.
Du Chen and Du Bin looked at each other, touched their heads at the same time, and made a secret decision in their hearts that they would never stay up late if conditions allowed.
“Dong…da…”
The three people who were chatting suddenly heard the sound of firecrackers outside, and the noise scared two of them.
"Wait for me a moment..."
Du Bin left a word and ran upstairs.
"What is Du Bin doing?"
Ding Miaomiao was a little confused.
"I think he went up to get some firecrackers..."
Based on Du Chen's understanding of his brother Du Bin, his guess should be almost correct.
Less than two minutes later, Du Bin came running down panting with a plastic bag in his hand. Du Chen looked inside and saw that it was filled with firecrackers and double-kick rockets.
"Du Bin, did you really go home to get firecrackers?"
Ding Miaomiao asked Du Bin in surprise.
"Well, since I can't sleep, no one else can sleep!"
Du Bin smiled evilly and prepared to wake up everyone nearby.
When he got downstairs, Du Bin took out a plate of firecrackers with 10,000 bangs and a dozen double-kick firecrackers from a plastic bag. Then he took out a lighter and a stick of incense and lit the firecrackers and double-kick firecrackers one after another.
"Let's go! I'm afraid someone will throw rotten eggs at us!"
Du Chen pulled Du Bin and Ding Miaomiao towards the car.
"Miaomiao, how are you? Are you excited?"
Du Bin looked at Ding Miaomiao with a rosy face and asked her happily.
"Well, I feel like I've done something bad. I'm a little excited!"
"Isn't it just that I did something bad?"
Du Chen revealed the truth in one sentence.
"Miaomiao, ignore him. Next time we go back to the village, I'll take you to the dog frying pan. That's more fun!"
Du Bin recalled the bad tricks he used during the Chinese New Year when he was a child.
"Really? I must try it if I get a chance!"
Du Chen looked at Ding Miaomiao with excitement, and lowered his head to study his nails. Such a good child was led astray by Du Bin.
As soon as he left the gate of the residential complex, he saw Li Dewen's Patrol parked on the side of the road. Du Bin slowly parked his car next to the Patrol, and the windows of both cars rolled down at the same time.
"Brother Li, where are we going?"
"Maple Forest Pavilion, I'll treat you to breakfast!"
Li Dewen said to Du Chen and the others with a smile on his face.
"Okay, Brother Li, you go first, we'll follow behind!"
Du Chen spoke to Li Dewen, and then gestured for Du Bin to follow behind Li Dewen's car.
"Chenchen, Maple Forest Pavilion has food this morning? I thought they were preparing a banquet!"
Du Bin drove slowly behind Li Dewen's car and asked Du Chen curiously. He had never been to the hotel for breakfast and had no idea that the hotel had a breakfast program.
