Chapter 13 Li Hongyan Disagrees

The couple had three sons, but the eldest son went out to play with friends and did not come back at night. The second and third sons, one in junior high school and the other in high school, both lived in school dorms in the county.

Therefore, no one could come up and pull it.

The couple quarreled and cursed for most of the night before Li Hongyan fell asleep crying: "You are such a heartless person, you ungrateful person, wuwuwuwu..."

Zhao Faliang was so annoyed that he couldn't sleep well all night.

Zhaojia Village is not far from Lijia Village. Because of the close proximity, people in the two villages who are marrying off their daughters or marrying their daughters-in-law are very familiar with each other. Therefore, what happened in Li Hongyan's parents' home was known to everyone in Zhaojia Village in less than one night.

Early the next morning, Li Hongyan went out and threw rotten vegetable leaves into the ditch.

Mrs. Zhao from next door, who had a bad relationship with her, laughed and said, "Hongyan, you haven't been back to your parents' home yet. I heard someone say yesterday that your parents had a fight. What's the matter?"

Li Hongyan felt extremely disgusted. What was going on? What was going on? This old woman was not deaf. She was just making fun of her on purpose.

"I don't know. I was planning to go and check it out after breakfast." He cursed in his mind but pretended to be surprised on his face.

Mrs. Zhao chuckled twice and went back to her own yard in a sarcastic tone.

The two families once had a fight over building a courtyard wall. Li Hongyan was very arrogant at that time. She called her four brothers from her natal family, plus her own three sons, a total of seven men joined the fight. Mrs. Zhao had only one son and one daughter. Her daughter was married and her son was working away from home, leaving her an elderly widower.

At that time, she was almost mad to death.

Over the years, she cursed Li Hongyan day and night, wishing her bad luck, such as choking to death while drinking water and being hit by a car when going out!

I can't wait to see her make a fool of herself.

Li Hongyan returned home and threw the shovel to the ground with a bang. She gasped for breath with her chest heaving.

All night long, she hadn't figured out how to face her parents.

I'm feeling annoyed.

Suddenly, a person came to the gate of the courtyard: "Sister, brother, you are all here."

It was the third son’s wife, Zhao Xueyan, who came on a bicycle.

Early in the morning, Chen Xiaoying asked Zhao Xueyan to come over and call people, for fear that Li Hongyan would hide away in advance and cause today's matter to fail to be accomplished.

"Xueyan, why are you here?"

Li Hongyan asked this question, but she knew in her heart what she was doing here.

Yesterday, it was this shameless woman who went to call my eldest uncle and my second uncle. She is such a brainless troublemaker.

Zhao Xueyan smiled apologetically. She was really afraid of her elder sister-in-law. She was too cunning and had a bad temper. She would slap her man in the face.

Her husband also listens to her as the eldest sister.

However, in order to live separately from her parents-in-law and have her own house, she came here despite her fear.

"Mom has something to talk to you about. She asked me to ask you to come quickly."

"Oh, you go first. I'll have a bite of food and then I'll go."

Li Hongyan had a cold face and didn't even look at her. She pulled a chair and sat down to prepare for dinner without asking Zhao Xueyan, her sister-in-law, whether she had eaten or whether she wanted to have a bite.

As soon as she entered the door, her brother-in-law Zhao Faliang deliberately didn't even look at her, and his attitude of ignoring her was very obvious.

Li Hongyan started to drink her soup and eat the dishes as if no one was around. Her chopsticks made clinking sounds as they hit the bowls and plates, and she just focused on eating her meal.

Zhao Xueyan stood there watching with a dull look on her face. Not only was she not allowed to sit down and eat a bite, her elder sister-in-law didn't even think of pouring her a sip of hot water.

She felt uncomfortable all over, but she refused to leave.

Li Hongyan wanted to delay for a few days and think of a solution, but Zhao Xueyan stood there like a door god and refused to leave. She was so angry that she put down her chopsticks with a "bang" and cursed: "Go! Go! Go! What can go on at home all day? It's always like you're asking for my life."

Zhao Faliang frowned and looked at Li Hongyan: "Have you thought about it carefully? What are you going to say?"

"Just take care of yourself. I don't need you to tell me anything." Li Hongyan frowned, pulled off her apron, and fell on the chair.

In Lijia Village, Chen Xiaoying had changed into clean clothes and was sitting in the yard, waiting for her eldest daughter Li Hongyan.

All the tricycles have been borrowed and parked outside the yard.

When the time comes, let the eldest son Li Hongwei drive the car and take her, old man Li Pingwang, and Li Hongyan to the credit union to check the two passbooks.

Li Hongwei was restless and wanted to leave several times, but Chen Xiaoying didn't let him go. He didn't want to fall out with his elder sister over money.

There was the sound of bicycles, and two bicycles rode in from the open gate, one after the other.

"Dad, Mom, what do you want to call me for?" Li Hongyan's voice was as bright as ever, with a smile on her face and full of enthusiasm.

Zhao Xueyan, who had been following them all the way, was stunned. The elder sister-in-law had a sullen face all the way, as if her father had died. But when they got home, her face immediately turned into a smile, as if she knew nothing.

"Don't you know what I want you to do?" Chen Xiaoying looked at her suspiciously.

Li Hongyan looked confused: "How should I know? What happened? Xueyan came to call me just now, but she just stood there and said nothing. How should I know what happened at home?"

As he spoke, he ignored Zhao Xueyan, who looked very aggrieved, and looked at Li Hongwei who was sitting next to him. He felt extremely irritated and his face became much uglier: "Hongwei, why are you sitting here? Have you finished your work in the field?"

The tone was just like the dean catching a bad student who skipped school.

"No." Li Hongwei didn't like to look at his elder sister's face. Because he didn't want to argue, he replied and didn't say anything else.

Seeing this, Li Hongyan began to suspect that Li Hongwei was secretly instigating the old couple to ask him for money.

Chen Xiaoying started talking: "I asked him to be here. I'll ask Hongwei to drive the tricycle and we'll go to the credit union to see how much money your father has deposited in the credit union. I plan to renovate the houses of the second and third brothers, repair what needs to be repaired, and lay the foundation for what needs to be laid."

"Why build a house at this time?" Li Hongyan raised her voice and began to point and draw: "You are going to build it for them? You are an old woman who knows nothing. You have worked hard all your life. Now you are old, and you are still doing such a stupid thing? Are you not destined to enjoy life? You don't want to live a down-to-earth life, but have to make yourself miserable?"

"Mom, I see you're idle all day. If you still want to raise sheep, I'll ask Faliang to catch two more for you."

From what she said, it seems that Chen Xiaoying wants to build houses for her sons because she has nothing better to do and she is just asking for trouble.

As if she shouldn't have built a house for her son.

The conversation turned to the question of raising sheep. Chen Xiaoying recalled that in her previous life, when she was 85 years old, she was still working hard raising sheep.

Counting the days, she would continue to raise sheep for at least twenty more years and would earn a lot of money. But in the end, she still had no money.

"We'll talk about the sheep later. Now let's talk about the money in the passbook. Let's go to the credit union and check it, and we'll know." Chen Xiaoying didn't want to say so much nonsense to her eldest daughter.

She knew what she was planning.

He just didn't want her to build houses for his brothers. If they didn't build houses, he and his wife would have no place to spend the money, and the money would still fall into her hands, so she could use it first and "return" it at an unknown time in the future.

Her eldest daughter has been very smart since she was a child.
