Chapter 1136 Recuperation

The nursing home of Renhe Hospital has beautiful scenery. It not only has a large number of precious plants, but also a sparkling artificial lake.

Those who are qualified to enter the Renhe Hospital Sanatorium for recuperation are either rich or noble people in Kyoto City.

Zhu Xiangyang has been staying in a sanatorium to recuperate these days.

Five days ago, Zhu Xiangyang was in a car accident.

This car accident was a bit strange. Zhang had been Zhu Xiangyang's driver for over a decade and had always been very steady. Zhang had never had an accident, yet on a flat, straight road, he had crashed head-on into a tree.

The windshield in front of the car was shattered, and Zhang Ye was knocked unconscious. His head and face were covered in blood from the broken glass shards. Fortunately, Zhu Xiangyang, who was sitting in the back seat, was only knocked unconscious by the force of the collision. When he was taken to Renhe Hospital by ambulance, Zhu Xiangyang had already woken up.

Zhang also suffered internal bleeding and was hospitalized after emergency surgery.

Zhu Xiangyang's status was very important, so even though he was awake, the doctor still insisted on having a full body check-up.

Second, after the examination results came out, Zhu Xiangyang had no problems except for a scrape on his arm.

The doctor was afraid that Zhu Xiangyang would have some sequelae and refused to discharge him. At Zhu Xiangyang's insistence, the doctor admitted him to a sanatorium for observation.

Just as Wang Wenjun was getting better, Zhu Xiangyang was in another car accident. She decided to leave the inpatient department and move in after Zhu Xiangyang was admitted to the nursing home. The couple went through checkups and IV drips together, a testament to their shared hardship.

Zhu Xiangyang lives in a three-story building.

The nursing home was well-equipped. Each building was staffed with a medical specialist, two nurses, two caregivers, and a cook who could prepare a variety of nutritious meals. The Zhu family elders no longer had to worry about anything. They only needed to cooperate with the doctors in the various examinations and nothing else.

This morning, Zhu Xiangyang was sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper, while Wang Wenjun was sitting next to him, peeling an apple.

After more than half a month of recuperation, Wang Wenjun's health has improved significantly. However, Wang Wenjun, who was once quite plump, has lost at least 20 kilograms.

The sudden weight loss added many wrinkles to Wang Wenjun's face.

Wang Wenjun's once nimble fingers seemed a bit clumsy, and it took her over ten minutes to peel an apple. She looked at the bumpy apple she had peeled, thought for a moment, and then cut it into pieces again, spreading them on a white porcelain plate before she smiled with satisfaction.

After Wang Wenjun cut the apple, she carefully inserted a few toothpicks into it before calling out to Zhu Xiangyang: "Xiangyang, have an apple."

"Ajun, I'm not hungry. You're in good health now. Don't do those things." Zhu Xiangyang's eyes moved away from the newspaper, glanced at Wang Wenjun, and then moved his eyes back. There was an article in today's newspaper that made Zhu Xiangyang very interested, and Zhu Xiangyang was thinking about it!

"Xiangyang, fruits are for supplementing vitamins, but they won't fill you up? Come on, eat a piece quickly." Wang Wenjun picked up a piece of apple with a toothpick and fed it to Zhu Xiangyang's mouth.

Zhu Xiangyang doesn't like eating apples because he has bad teeth. The fruit acid in apples is too much, which makes Zhu Xiangyang's teeth sour.

However, Zhu Xiangyang couldn't refuse Wang Wenjun's kindness, so he could only open his mouth, frown and eat the apple next to him.

When Wang Wenjun forked another piece of apple and handed it to him, Zhu Xiangyang shook his head and said, "Ajun, I don't want to eat it anymore. You can eat it yourself."

Wang Wenjun couldn't help but frown when she saw Zhu Xiangyang's eyes fixed on the newspaper in his hand. In Wang Wenjun's opinion, Zhu Xiangyang was rejecting not only an apple but also her kindness.

Zhu Xiangyang was watching the exciting part and didn't notice Wang Wenjun's gritting teeth at all.

Wang Wenjun's hands were sore from holding the apple, and when she saw that Zhu Xiangyang really didn't want to eat it, she angrily threw the apple back into Longzi's mouth.

"Ajun, what's wrong?" Zhu Xiangyang didn't understand why Wang Wenjun was unhappy, but still asked considerately.

"I want to go out for a walk." Wang Wenjun said with a dark face.

"I'll let Wu take you out for a walk." Zhu Xiangyang hadn't finished the work in his hands. Seeing that Wang Wenjun wanted to go out, he immediately made arrangements for Wang Wenjun.

"I don't want Wu to accompany me!" Wang Wenjun shouted.

"Then let's call him Zhang?" Zhu Xiangyang said casually, his thoughts still immersed in the newspaper in his hand.

"Zhu Xiangyang, what do you mean? Do you dislike me? Do you dislike the fact that I'm getting older and uglier? You don't even want to accompany me for a walk, right?" Wang Wenjun gritted his teeth and was obviously on the verge of a rage.

These days, Wang Wenjun didn't dare to look in the mirror.

After waking up in the hospital, Wang Wenjun almost screamed when she saw an old woman in the bathroom mirror.

A month ago, Wang Wenjun looked six or seven years younger than her actual age. Even without stunning beauty, she was still praised for her intellectual elegance. Now, Wang Wenjun is not only old and haggard, with wrinkles all over her face. Compared with her peers, she looks seven or eight years older.

Appearance is what women care about most, and Wang Wenjun is no exception.

After more than half a month of reflection, Wang Wenjun finally accepted the fact that she had aged fourteen or fifteen years. What she needed most now was Zhu Xiangyang's affirmation and comfort. However, Zhu Xiangyang was angry with Wang Wenjun because of Zhu Jun's matter. How could Wang Wenjun tolerate this?

"Ajun, why do you think that?" Zhu Xiangyang pulled his eyes away from the newspaper and looked at Wang Wenjun in surprise. Although Zhu Xiangyang did not agree with some of Wang Wenjun's actions, it was completely different from disliking Wang Wenjun.

"How else can I think otherwise? Zhu Xiangyang, I was talking to you, but you were busy reading the newspaper? I wanted to go out for a walk, but you didn't accompany me and instead sent a nurse to prevaricate me? I know you blame me for not being right...but wasn't I doing that for myself? Wasn't it for the sake of our family?"

Wang Wenjun thought about it and felt extremely wronged.

As soon as Zhu Xiangyang found out the truth, he got angry at Wang Wenjun. Could it be that their decades of love as husband and wife was not as important as a piece of trash?

Whenever Wang Wenjun thought about this, she felt she was too soft-hearted back then. If she had known, she wouldn't have changed the "sacrifice." If she had let Zhu Jun continue to "sacrifice," she would have accomplished what she wanted to do long ago. Why would she need to be criticized by Zhu Xiangyang like she is now?

After she succeeds, no matter how much dissatisfaction Xiangyang has, it will be washed away by the joy of success.

"Ajun, I really need to have a good talk with you about this matter." Zhu Xiangyang put down the newspaper in his hand and said to Wang Wenjun seriously.
