"Don't do anything reckless, Baishan, stop the car!" Grandma Xiaojie screamed in alarm. She recognized Xiaozhu. No matter how naughty she was, she was only naughty to a little. She wouldn't dare to do anything that would kill someone, let alone an innocent and lovely child. She would be struck by lightning!
The security guard was startled and stepped aside, staring blankly at the speeding van. His mind went completely blank. Good heavens, even as a veteran, this was the first time he had ever encountered something like this, and his legs were trembling.
Andy gave a silent, cold laugh. As the car started, he slipped behind a tree, and no one knew that he had played a part in the accident.
"What happened? Where's the car? Where's the child?" The older security guard caught up, panting, but saw nothing. He grabbed the younger security guard and asked.
The young security guard then came to his senses and regained his composure. He went forward to check, but there was no blood on the ground, only tire tracks. The young security guard's heart clenched even more, thinking that the pig had been caught in the car. If that were the case, the pig was in too much trouble and would definitely not survive.
"A child has been hit by a car. Go check over there and see if he's there. I'll go check over here."
Two security guards searched the vicinity. Andy quietly left, feeling very happy. The annoying little pig was dead, and Xiao Jie had been sent to the countryside to live a hard life. Only the silly little tiger was left. He would go to his aunt's place and have a good talk, and things would be back to normal.
Six-year-old Andy didn't take the 'tragedy' he had just witnessed to heart at all, nor did he realize that his words could have caused the death of a child. In situations like that, even adults couldn't escape, let alone a three-year-old child.
Andy felt nothing at all; he was just happy because the person he hated was gone, and he had gotten his revenge.
The two security guards searched all the nearby grass and bushes but couldn't find the pig's "body". Their expressions were very solemn and their hearts sank. Such a lovely child, gone just like that. How could the child's family bear it?
"I'll go notify the child's family. You call the police again. There's another child in the car. We can't let those beasts get away with this!" The older security guard said angrily as he ran. He thought Zhao Baishan was a child trafficker who had come to the community to kidnap children.
Little Tiger finally caught up, staring dumbfounded at the empty space. Where was Little Pig? Where was Little Jie?
"Uncle, where did Little Pig and Little Jack go?"
The older security guard's eyes lit up when he saw him, and he quickly asked, "Little friend, can you take me to find Little Pig and Little Jie's parents? Hurry up, I have something important to do."
Little Tiger was startled and quickly took off running, shouting, "I'll take you there!"
Ye Qingqing read a book at home for a while. Lin Shufang came back from grocery shopping and, not seeing the little pig, casually asked, "Where did the little pig go to play?"
"I went to play at the park with Xiaohu and Xiaojie. I'm going to call them back."
Ye Qingqing glanced at the wall clock. The three children had been out playing for almost an hour. Lin Shufang didn't think much of it. The neighborhood was safe, and the little pig was very clever; nothing would happen to him.
As soon as Ye Qingqing stepped out the door, she saw Xiao Jie's nanny. She had come out to find Xiao Jie. The nanny was actually a semi-acquaintance; she was the niece of Aunt Zhao, who used to work as a caregiver at the hospital. Aunt Zhao was very successful in the city because of her good character, cleanliness, diligence, and quiet nature. She had worked for several families, and each family praised her highly.
Aunt Zhao's niece is just as good-natured as Aunt Zhao. She doesn't talk much, but she's very hardworking and patient with children. She only has a junior high school education, so Lin Baiwei is very satisfied with Aunt Zhao's niece.
"I've come to call Xiao Jie home for lunch," Sister Zhao said with a smile.
