Li Shanxing shrieked, "Why are you asking me about my mother? She doesn't know anything! You're the one who caused my illness, don't try to shirk your responsibility!"
"Shanxing, stop talking." Aunt Xu felt guilty and her head almost touched the ground.
Li Xiuxiu looked coldly at Li Shanxing. She originally wanted to rest for a while before retaliating, but since this woman couldn't wait to jump out and court death, she would play along.
"Why would I want to harm you? Jealous that you're a college student? You have too much of an ego. So what if you are a college student? You can grab any college student off the street in Pingjiang City. There are tons of people like you. My company is thriving. I even hired two college students before the new year. College students are working for me. Why would I be jealous of a college student who was expelled from school?"
Li Xiuxiu showed no mercy and continued, "You can't even be called a college student anymore. You don't even have a diploma. You only have a high school diploma. Even if you applied to my company, I wouldn't look down on someone like you. Why would I envy you?"
"Shanxing was expelled from school? Wasn't she supposed to be on sick leave? How did it become expulsion?" a middle-aged woman shouted.
Aunt Xu looked at Li Xiuxiu pleadingly, hoping she wouldn't tell.
Ye Qingqing sneered inwardly. She had never realized that Aunt Xu was so selfish before. No wonder Li Shanxing was such a person. It turned out that it was hereditary!
Li Xiuxiu didn't even look at Aunt Xu, and said loudly, "Li Shanxing was expelled because of her immoral behavior. She slept with men outside to earn money, had an abortion, and infected her roommate with a sexually transmitted disease. The school found out during the physical examination and expelled her. It was only because the roommate's family didn't want to make a big fuss, otherwise Li Shanxing would have to go to court and pay compensation."
"That's not true! I'm on sick leave, I wasn't fired! You're talking nonsense!" Li Shanxing screamed, but no one listened to her. The villagers all gathered around Li Xiuxiu to find out what was going on.
Li Xiuxiu glanced at Aunt Xu again, her expression growing colder. She had already given this family a chance, but they had gone too far. They shouldn't blame her for making things difficult.
“I swear to God I’m saying these things. Li Shanxing, do you dare? Back then, when you were diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease at school, my aunt called me to the school. All she did was cry. It was me who ran around pleading with the school and the parents of the girl you implicated who were spared from being sued. They just expelled you, and it wasn’t even posted on the school bulletin board. I know the whole story clearly. I haven’t said a single word out of the blue.”
Li Xiuxiu spoke with reason and eloquence, which convinced the villagers even more, and they looked at Li Shanxing with more disdain.
The girl was blinded by the glitz and glamour of the big city and neglected her studies. She deserved to be expelled from school and brought shame to her village.
"You're talking nonsense! You're jealous of me, you're throwing mud at me, and you're trying to harm me..." Li Shanxing's expression was crazed, and she was no longer in her right mind.
"Let's go home, stop making a scene!" Aunt Xu dragged her daughter home, the whole family had lost face.
A middle-aged man rushed over. He was Li Shanxing's father. Someone had informed him of the news, so he came over. He happened to hear what Li Xiuxiu said and was both angry and resentful.
“My Shanxing isn’t that kind of person. Xiuxiu, don’t talk nonsense. You did those things yourself, and you still want to slander my Shanxing. You’ve always been cunning, while Shanxing is innocent. Ten of her combined aren’t as cunning as you.” Li Shanxing’s father spoke even harsher, and many people began to doubt again. It was true that Li Xiuxiu was more cunning when they were young, while Li Shanxing was as simple as a block of wood.
