Ji Wuxin gained more confidence. She bypassed the guards and entered the house from the back. Li Wuming followed behind her and whispered, "Senior Sister, why don't we just grab a few guards? Miao Tianxiang and the others are about to die anyway, why bother going in?"
"Shut up!"
Ji Wuxin rebuked him, but her suspicions about him lessened. If Li Wuming had really become a traitor, he should have encouraged her to go in, instead of rushing to leave.
But she had to go in.
Li Wuming said that on purpose, of course. He was indeed very good at understanding people's hearts, which was why he could pretend to be crazy and stupid around Yin Yu for more than 20 years.
He thought Ji Wuxin wanted to see for himself if Miao Tianxiang was dying, but to his surprise, Ji Wuxin didn't go to find Miao Tianxiang. Instead, he asked someone else, "Which room is Princess Julie in?"
"Third floor."
Li Wuming answered honestly, but his doubts deepened. Could it be that this old hag and Princess Julie had some kind of secret relationship?
But if there really is a connection, why would the old witch cast a spell on Princess Julie?
Ji Wuxin, like a ghost, silently went up to the third floor. Ye Qingqing and the others were in the monitoring room and saw everything clearly.
"What's that old hag doing on the third floor? Only Princess Julie is there!" Ye Qingqing couldn't understand.
"I'll go up and take a look."
Miao Tianxiong dared not delay. If Princess Julie were to get into trouble again, they wouldn't be able to explain it to the T Kingdom's royal family. Lu Mo stopped her, "Let's take another look!"
He suspected that Ji Wuxin had ulterior motives. Li Wuming had already said that Princess Julie was dying, so there was no need for Ji Wuxin to risk going to see a dying person.
Princess Julie lay quietly on the bed, like Sleeping Beauty, while the dutiful Madam Wu lay on the floor, close to the bed. Ji Wuxin gently pushed open the door and quietly slipped inside, while Li Wuming stayed outside, unable to enter.
He felt like he was being scratched by a cat; he desperately wanted to go in and take a look, but he didn't dare.
In the surveillance footage, Ji Wuxin approached Madam Wu, but unfortunately, no sound could be heard. However, Ji Wuxin's lips could be seen moving. Madam Wu quickly woke up, and the fear and surprise on her face disappeared when she saw Ji Wuxin, turning into a calm expression.
After exchanging a few words, Madam Wu became very agitated, seemingly blaming Ji Wuxin, but Ji Wuxin showed no anger whatsoever.
"They know each other. Strange, what is the relationship between the old hag and Madam Wu?" Ye Qingqing murmured.
Miao Tianxiong gritted his teeth and said angrily, "We've been tricked by this Madam Wu! This woman actually stole from us! Damn it!"
She said that the reason why Ji Wuxin could play Princess Julie so well without arousing suspicion from the other servants was because Madam Wu was an inside agent.
Ji Wuxin flicked Princess Julie on the bed, said something to Madam Wu, and then turned and left. Madam Wu had her back to her, and her expression looked strange, an indescribable feeling.
"Close the net!"
Lu Mo shouted and darted to the door. Miao Tianxiong ordered his subordinates over the walkie-talkie to close all exits; she was going to lock the door and catch the dog.
The house, which was originally dark, was suddenly brightly lit, just like daytime. Ji Wuxin had just reached the door when she noticed something was wrong and her expression changed drastically. Madam Wu was startled and hurriedly went to open the window.
Although the window was open, the area below was full of guards, all armed, and the defenses were as tight as a cage.
Madam Wu looked desperate. She was about to ask Ji Wuxin to use her as a hostage when the door was pushed open from the outside. Li Wuming rushed in shouting, "It's terrible! It's terrible! Senior Sister, let's run away..."
But he rushed behind Ji Wuxin, standing between Ji Wuxin and Madam Wu.
