Chapter 2325 Divorce

Ye Mingcheng cooked a calming soup for Wuchen overnight, and after she drank it, he coaxed her to sleep before going back to his room to sleep. Ye Qingqing and Tang Yuanyuan stayed up until midnight, and were so tired that they finally went to sleep. They didn't get up until almost noon the next day.

I was woken up by a phone call from Master Nie's cousin, asking me and Xiao Tong to come over for lunch.

“My little wife is back. I made a welcome dinner for him. You, Xiaotong, Wuchen, and all the children are coming. I steamed your favorite steamed pork with rice flour, Xiaotong’s favorite amaranth and tofu, and Wuchen’s favorite vegetarian chicken. I made all of them.”

Ye Qingqing naturally agreed and quickly got out of bed to wash up. After a careful calculation, she realized that time had passed extremely quickly. In the blink of an eye, a month had passed since the start of the semester. Tsumabuki Minami had indeed returned, but Tsumabuki's wife probably wouldn't be coming back.

Wuchen was listless and dispirited, a stark contrast to her usual energetic self. Ye Qingqing felt guilty; she hadn't expected to frighten the child so much. She had overestimated Wuchen's courage; after all, she was just a little girl, and no matter how bold she was, she was still just a child.

"Grandma Xu made vegetarian chicken and wants you to come over and eat it," Ye Qingqing coaxed.

Wuchen's eyes lit up, and he immediately jumped off the bed. Ye Qingqing breathed a sigh of relief; it seemed he would recover soon. Before leaving, she told Ye Mingcheng to go to the hospital for a check-up so he could be completely at ease. If he was unlucky enough to get infected, timely treatment might still allow him to recover.

Syphilis is a disease that has different stages. The earlier it is treated, the easier it is to cure. However, if it is in the late stage, it is basically incurable and may even endanger life. In short, it is a very difficult disease to treat.

When they arrived at Master Nie's house, my cousin was busy in the kitchen, while Tsumabuki Minami was alone in the living room, watching TV listlessly. The TV was showing a Taiwanese melodrama, which was my cousin's favorite. Although Tsumabuki Minami was facing the TV, he was lost in thought.

Upon seeing Ye Qingqing and the others, Tsumabuki Minami was finally happy.

My cousin had already prepared most of the dishes. She came out and yelled at Tsumabuki Minami, "Call your mom over. I told you to come over for dinner. We're on our side now, so there's no need for all those fancy rules. Hurry up and get her over here. I fried up your mom's favorite spring rolls."

Ye Qingqing was somewhat surprised. She hadn't expected that Mrs. Tsumabuki would also come. Would Tsumabuki's father agree to this?

Even though they are a middle-aged couple, long-term separation can still affect their relationship.

Noticing Ye Qingqing's surprise, Tsumabuki Minami whispered, "My parents have already finalized their divorce. I asked my mother to come here to relax."

Ye Qingqing was startled. It was too sudden. It had only been a month. How could they get divorced so easily?

When I visited Tsumabuki Minami's house during the Lunar New Year, I felt that the couple had a good relationship. Although they were a bit too polite, they seemed like a loving couple. Could it be that they were just putting on an act for the guests?

Although she was very curious, Ye Qingqing didn't press the matter further and even changed the subject. Tsumabuki Minami breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't want to talk about his elders anymore, and he didn't know how to answer if Ye Qingqing asked.

The couple finally arrived. Under her cousin's relentless barrage of phone calls, no one could stop them. The couple looked to be in good spirits and didn't seem like bitter women who had just divorced. Only then did Ye Qingqing feel relieved.

When it was time to eat, Master Nie finally came downstairs, looking rather lazy. However, he wasn't wearing his usual plaid pajamas at home; instead, he had changed into loungewear, and his hair was neatly combed. With a little tidying up, he looked much more refreshed.
