"My back is killing me, all I want to do is lie down," Tang Yuanyuan said weakly, as did Ye Qingqing.
The Ye family's place is quite large; cleaning two floors is no easy task, and then there's the need to change the sheets and blankets—it's exhausting.
"Move the computer to the bed so you can lie down and watch it."
Ruan Yingzi was full of energy. She took her laptop to the bed, put the discs in it, and also put snacks on the bed. Ye Qingqing and Tang Yuanyuan had no choice but to cheer up and watch the movie with this girl.
The beginning wasn't scary at all; the three of them were quite calm, chatting and eating sunflower seeds.
"Did that woman really sleep around with several foreigners today?" Ruan Yingzi asked curiously.
"Yeah, she's dating several foreigners at the same time, including two Black men. Her private life is a complete mess," Ye Qingqing said with disdain.
Like Ruan Yingzi and Tang Yuanyuan, they despise women who willingly debase themselves, especially those who offer themselves up, as they bring shame upon Chinese women.
"What does she want? To put it bluntly, very few foreigners who come to study inland are from wealthy families, and their studies aren't that great either. The good ones wouldn't come here to study. That's basically it. They're considered trash abroad, but here they're treated like treasures, with a bunch of women throwing themselves at them. It makes me so angry! No wonder those stinky foreigners say that women here are particularly easy to seduce. They're just belittling all women with one big slapstick!"
Ruan Yingzi was particularly angry. Although what she said was somewhat extreme, it was indeed the truth.
In the 1990s, China was not strong in the international arena, whether in terms of economy or education. Therefore, most of the foreigners who came here were poor people who had not done well in their own countries. Many of them had not even gone to university. However, after arriving here, they were able to get jobs as foreign teachers in universities with their not-so-standard English. On top of that, some of the women were so despicable that it was really infuriating.
"Li Shanxing wanted to study abroad, but she couldn't afford the government-funded scholarship, so she tried to take a shortcut, which ended up getting herself into trouble," Ye Qingqing explained Li Shanxing's motives.
"Does some foreign country necessarily mean paradise? This woman must have lost her mind. She had such a bright future, and she ruined it all. She deserves it!"
Ruan Yingzi was so angry that she bit into a small walnut. What she hated most was women who belittled themselves and used their bodies as capital to make a living. It made her furious.
"Why are you so angry? That's someone else's life. Go watch the movie!"
Ye Qingqing also grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds and started cracking them open. The music had become tense, and everyone involuntarily held their breath, their panting intensified, and they forgot about eating.
But Ruan Yingzi turned off the lights, saying that a dimly lit room would create a better atmosphere.
"ah……"
Finally, the most terrifying scene appeared. Even though Ye Qingqing knew it was fake, she screamed just like Tang Yuanyuan and covered her head with the blanket.
Ruan Yingzi remained calm, saying, "What's there to be afraid of? Movies are all fake, and this female ghost is fake too. Can't you guys be a little more sensible? It's not scary at all."

Ruan Yingzi finally couldn't take it anymore, so she crawled into bed and hugged Ye Qingqing and the others.
