Gu Qingqing pulled Ye Yunxi toward the base's canteen.
Ten minutes later, the two arrived at the base's canteen.
Ye Yunxi walked around, observing the base's canteen. It was similar to a university canteen, with tables and chairs on both sides, some people eating, and others queuing to get their food.
At the very back is a row of windows where several middle-aged women are getting their meals.
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing were at the end of the line.
Looking ahead, there were about a dozen or twenty people; it seemed we'd have to wait a while.
After waiting for a while, Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing's turn came.
I picked up the plate and glanced at it; it was fairly clean.
Following the group, we first got our staple food, which was two steamed buns, and then we got three side dishes. There were bok choy and scrambled eggs with tomatoes, but we only saw tomatoes.
There was also stir-fried dried tofu with shredded pork. There were only a few slices of pork, a pitifully small amount.
Then I made another bowl of soup, which was seaweed soup, and there were no oil particles in the soup.
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing picked up the food they had prepared and swiped their base cards to collect contribution points, totaling five points.
The two found a table in the corner and sat down.
Gu Qingqing took a bite of food and asked Ye Yunxi.
"Sister Yunxi, how did your studies go this morning? Was there anything you didn't understand?"
Ye Yunxi thought for a moment before answering.
"Not yet. The medical book you gave me this morning, I also have a similar one at home. I looked at part of it when I was bored at home before. It's just that I haven't seen the actual book in person."

"Eat it or not, it's up to you. We'll do whatever the base gives us. If you're so capable, go talk to the base chief yourself."
The man wanted to say something more, but the man next to him pulled him away.
"Brother, let's forget about it. We're lucky if we have anything to eat at the base right now, at least we have two steamed buns. Let's go."
The man then followed the person who pulled him away from the windowsill and walked towards the dining table.
Ye Yunxi only glanced at the window before the man who caused the trouble saw her.
He walked over to Ye Yunxi and the others with a smile.
The man walked up to Ye Yunxi's table and said to her with a smile.
"Hey beautiful, do you like me? I've noticed you've been staring at me the whole time."
Gu Qingqing glanced at Ye Yunxi, then at the man, and said coldly.
"Who would like you? Don't flatter yourself."
When the man heard Gu Qingqing say that, he assumed she was jealous.
"Hey beautiful, are you jealous? I know I'm handsome, but don't get obsessed with me."
The people around them were watching them with schadenfreude.
Gu Qingqing glanced at the man with disgust. Suddenly, the food in front of her didn't taste good anymore.
The man ignored Gu Qingqing and turned to look at Ye Yunxi.
"Beautiful lady, would you mind if I sat next to you?"
Ye Yunxi said without looking up.
"mind."
The man was taken aback, not expecting Ye Yunxi to say that. Then he smiled.
"Beautiful lady, don't be shy. I know you like me; you've been peeking at me several times."
The man then tried to sit down next to Ye Yunxi.
Ye Yunxi exuded a cold aura and said in a cold voice.
"I said I mind, are you deaf?"
Gu Qingqing looked at them nervously and said to the man.
"My sister told you to leave and not to loiter around here."
The man, feeling somewhat embarrassed, placed his plate on Ye Yunxi and the others' table and yelled at them.
"I'm sitting here because I respect you, don't push your luck. Or I'll beat you up."
Ye Yunxi remained unmoved and continued eating her meal.
Gu Qingqing looked at Ye Yunxi, unsure of what to do.
Seeing that Ye Yunxi didn't speak, the man became furious and reached out to hit her.
Ye Yunxi wasn't about to let him hit her. She dodged the man's attack, kicked him away, and then unleashed a barrage of attacks on him.
The people around were stunned; they never expected that such a seemingly delicate girl could be so capable.
Gu Qingqing looked at Ye Yunxi in surprise, worried that she might get hurt. Seeing her beat someone up, she thought Ye Yunxi was so cool.
The man's wails filled the cafeteria, and everyone turned to look.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Grandma, I was wrong, I'll never do it again. Please forgive me."
"Let the man go after Ye Yunxi has finished hitting him," she said coldly to the man.
"Next time you see us, remember to go around us, or we'll beat you up every time we see you, got it?"
The man stood up shakily, his head bowed.
"Yes, yes, I'll remember that. I'll avoid you next time I see you."
Ye Yunxi nodded in satisfaction.
"Get lost."
The man was so frightened that he scrambled away from the cafeteria.
Seeing the man leave, Gu Qingqing stepped forward and looked at Ye Yunxi with admiration.
"Sister Yunxi, you're so amazing! I love you!"
Ye Yunxi smiled and patted Gu Qingqing's head.
"Have you finished eating? If you have, let's go."
Gu Qingqing nodded and left the cafeteria with Ye Yunxi, heading towards the base hospital.
