Gu Qingqing and Ye Yunxi returned to the base hospital and went to Gu Qingqing's office.
Gu Qingqing said to Ye Yunxi.
"Sister Yunxi, it's still early, you can take a nap. I'll call you later."
Ye Yunxi nodded and asked Gu Qingqing in return.
"And what about you? Aren't you going to take a nap?"
Gu Qingqing smiled at her.
"I still have things to finish, so I won't rest. You go to sleep, it's okay."
Ye Yunxi knew that Gu Qingqing still had work to finish.
Then she thanked Qingqing without further ado.
"Okay, thank you. I'll take a nap now."
Gu Qingqing nodded.
Ye Yunxi took the backpack she had brought, placed it on the table, and lay down on it for a midday nap.
After sleeping for about an hour, Ye Yunxi woke up on her own. Seeing that Gu Qingqing was still busy, she didn't disturb her. She picked up her medical book and continued looking at the instruments.
After reading for a while, Gu Qingqing finally finished her work, stretched, and then noticed Ye Yunxi reading a book beside her.
He called out to Ye Yunxi.
"Sister Yunxi, I didn't even know when you woke up."
Ye Yunxi looked at Gu Qingqing when she heard her voice.
"I've been awake for a while. I saw you were busy, so I didn't want to disturb you."
Just then, Gu Qingqing's stomach rumbled.
Gu Qingqing said somewhat awkwardly.
"I didn't eat much in the cafeteria just now because I was worried about your safety."
Without saying a word, Ye Yunxi took out two rice balls from the empty space in her backpack and handed them to Gu Qingqing.
"Here you go. I know you were worried about me in the cafeteria and didn't eat much yourself. This is something I made myself."
Gu Qingqing took the rice ball from Ye Yunxi and said gratefully to her.
"Sister Yunxi, thank you, it's so good to have you."
Ye Yunxi smiled. "Eat up."
Gu Qingqing put down one rice ball, opened another, took a bite, and was pleasantly surprised.
"Sister Yunxi, this rice ball is so delicious."
Ye Yunxi simply smiled at her without saying anything, and then began to read her medical books.
Time flew by, and it was time to leave work. Gu Qingqing called Ye Yunxi to leave together.
When the two arrived at the hospital gate, they saw Fu Heng already waiting at the entrance.
Fu Heng saw Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing and smiled at them.
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing walked up to Fu Heng.
Gu Qingqing greeted Fu Heng.
"Brother Fuheng, it's been a long time."
Fu Heng smiled and greeted them in return.
"Qingqing, it's been a long time."
Ye Yunxi looked at Gu Qingqing. "Why don't you ride back with us?"
Gu Qingqing quickly refused.
"No, I need to go to the research center to wait for Yi-ge so we can go home together. You guys go ahead."
Fu Heng nodded and said to her.
"Haiyi should be finishing work soon. If you go now, the timing will be perfect."
"Okay, thank you, Brother Fu Heng. I'll be going now. You guys should go back and rest too."
After seeing Gu Qingqing leave, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng got into the car together and drove home.
Fu Heng asked Ye Yunxi while driving.
"Xixi, how was work today? Are you tired?"
Ye Yunxi recalled that she had spent the whole day reading medical books.
"It's not tiring. I'll just look at the medical books and learn about the instruments first. Once I've learned them all, my master will teach me other things."
Fu Heng smiled and said, "That's fine too. Don't overwork yourself while studying. If you get tired, take a break first."
Ye Yunxi said, "Yes, I know," and looked outside.
Fifteen minutes later, Fu Heng drove to the training ground. Ye Yunxi looked outside, then looked at Fu Heng, her face full of confusion.
Fu Heng laughed when he saw Ye Yunxi's expression.
"It's time to pick Yunzi up from school today. It's been a week since I last came."
Ye Yunxi suddenly remembered that today was the day to pick Yunzi up from school; she had completely forgotten. She had been busy with this and that these past few days.
Fu Heng called Ye Yunxi to get out of the car together, and saw Li Yan and Yunzi waiting not far away.
When Li Yan saw Ye Yunxi and the others, he squatted down and said something to Yunzi. Then he saw Yunzi run towards them like the wind.
Yunzi ran to Ye Yunxi's side, stood up, and lay down on Ye Yunxi, wagging its tail frantically.
"Human, it's been a few days. Do you miss me? I want to go home and eat something delicious. The food here is too bland."
Ye Yunxi smiled and patted Yunzi's head.
Li Yan also jogged over, smiling as he greeted Ye Yunxi and the others.
"Yunxi, Xiao Fu, you've finally arrived. Yunzi has been waiting for you for quite a while."
Fu Heng smiled and said to Li Yan.
"I worked a little late, so I'm late getting here. Thank you for your help, Captain Li."
Li Yan waved his hand. "What's the trouble? Besides, Yunzi is like a partner to me."
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Li Yan, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng bid him farewell.
The two men and the dog returned to the car, and Fu Heng drove towards the villa area.
Fifteen minutes later, the two people and the dog returned home.
Ye Yunxi turned on the air conditioner in the house first, then turned to Fu Heng and asked.
What are we eating today?
Fu Heng thought for a moment and then said.
"Let's have some crayfish, it's been so long since I've had any, and get two bottles of ice-cold beer too."
Ye Yunxi nodded and first gave Yunzi some food: beef, pork heart tube, chicken leg, quail, half a head of broccoli, and then poured goat milk powder and dog food into Yunzi's bowl.
Then I took some crayfish and beer and put them on the table. The crayfish weighed three pounds and I took two flavors, one spicy and one spiced.
They also brought out some barbecue skewers and watermelon. They even brought out a tablet to watch TV dramas while they ate.
Two hours later, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng finished their meal. Ye Yunxi went to take a shower first, leaving Fu Heng to clean up the dishes.
After Ye Yunxi came out, she asked Fu Heng to take a shower as well, and then she and Yunzi played on the second floor.
After Fuheng finished washing up, he played with Yunzi for a while. When it was almost bedtime, Fuheng didn't send Yunzi away, but let her sleep next to their bed.
