Li Yan picked up a piece of boiled fish and put it in his mouth. The spicy and numbing flavor spread in his mouth, combined with the freshness of the fish, making it a truly delicious and unforgettable experience. Suddenly, something occurred to him.
"Hey, did you guys know? These past two days, Base Chief Wu has been gathering manpower for rescue operations outside. I heard that a small private base is asking our base for help again."
The base commander decided to gather personnel to rescue them; anyone who could be brought back would be brought back.
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng exchanged a glance. Fu Heng asked.
"Did they say which people would be sent?"
Li Yan looked at Fu Heng and said with a smile.
"Yes, there are several rescue teams from the base, and Professor Hu and Elder Ye are also going together."
Ye Yunxi frowned. Master was going too? No wonder Master had been so busy these past two days that he couldn't keep an eye on her.
Li Yan continued, "Don't Qingqing and Yunxi work at the hospital? Your master is going too, you didn't know that, did you?"
Gu Qingqing shook her head and said to Li Yan.
“We really didn’t know; our master didn’t tell us.”
Li Yan took a bite of food, looked at Ye Yunxi, Fu Heng, and Gu Qingqing, and said.
"That means you're busy packing. Want to go for a few kneading?"
The group exchanged glances, and Ye Yunxi spoke.
"Let's discuss this first."
The group changed the subject and chatted while eating.
Two hours later, after finishing their meal, Li Yan and the others said goodbye to Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng and went home.
Fu Heng and Ye Yunxi returned home and took all the dishes and chopsticks from the table to the kitchen to wash.
The two chatted and laughed while washing the dishes. After they finished, Ye Yunxi went to take a shower first, while Fu Heng cleaned the house downstairs.
After Ye Yunxi finished showering, Fu Heng also got ready and then went to take a shower.
After he finished showering, the two sat on the bed watching "Empresses in the Palace". When it was time to go to bed, Ye Yunxi turned off the tablet and hugged Fu Heng to sleep.
The next day, the two got up together, had a simple breakfast, and went to work.
Fu Heng drove Ye Yunxi to the hospital first, and then went to the research center himself.
Ye Yunxi arrived at the base hospital, walked into the office, saw that no one was there, and sat down at her seat.
They had just sat down when Qingqing arrived. They greeted each other and then went about their own business.
Half an hour later, a doctor came to call them, saying that Old Master Ye wanted to see them.
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing put down what they were doing and walked together to Old Master Ye's office.
Ye Yunxi knocked gently on the door. "Master, we're here."
Old Ye turned to look at them. "Come in and close the door."
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing went inside and closed the door.
Old Ye looked at them and said.
"Qing'er, Yunxi'er, the day after tomorrow, your master is going to the outside of the base for rescue. It was ordered by Base Commander Wu. You two are my apprentices. I called you here to ask for your opinions, whether you would like to come with me."
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing exchanged a glance and nodded. Ye Yunxi then spoke.
“Master, we are willing to go with you.”
Gu Qingqing quickly added.
"Yes, Master, we'll stay with you and take care of you."
Old Master Ye looked at the two people in front of him and nodded with a smile.
"Okay, go home early today. We'll give you the day off tomorrow. Take some time to pack at home. We don't know how long we'll be gone, so it's good to have plenty of things ready."
"We're leaving at 9:00 AM the day after tomorrow, remember that. Also, you two girls can bring your boyfriends along."
Gu Qingqing and Ye Yunxi nodded. "Okay, we understand."
Old Ye waved to them, telling them to go work on the gooseberries first, and finish as soon as possible so they could go home early.
Ye Yunxi and Gu Qingqing left Old Master Ye's office and returned to their own office.
She got busy with her own work. She ate lunch in the office, and Ye Yunxi gave Gu Qingqing two rice balls.
They were busy until after 4 p.m. After quickly tidying up, the two agreed to go to the research center to find Fu Heng and Zhang Haiyi.
The two arrived at the research center and waited for a while. Fu Heng and Zhang Haiyi finished work, and the four of them got into Ye Yunxi's car. They then drove Gu Qingqing and Zhang Haiyi home.
Gu Qingqing said to Fu Heng and Zhang Haiyi.
"Today, our master told us that he wants me and Sister Yunxi to go with him on the rescue mission, and he also wants us to take you with us."
Zhang Haiyi frowned and said after hearing his girlfriend's words.
"Why would your master let me and Heng go with you?"
Gu Qingqing gently tapped Zhang Haiyi.
"Are you stupid? The master said he doesn't know how long we'll be gone this time, so he told us to prepare more things. He also gave us a day off tomorrow. He's taking you guys with him to help us carry our things."
When Fu Heng heard Gu Qingqing say that she didn't know how long the trip would take and that she needed to prepare more things, he was surprised.

"Okay, let's go to the supermarket together tomorrow."
Gu Qingqing nodded happily.
"Then let's meet at 10 AM tomorrow, where should we meet?"
Fu Heng spoke up. "We'll just pick you up downstairs. The supermarket is closer to the residential area. What do you say, Xixi?"
Ye Yunxi nodded. "Okay, I'll do as Aheng says."
They then arrived at the building where Gu Qingqing and the others lived. After thanking them, Fu Heng drove home.
