Fu Heng looked at Ye Yunxi's adorable face, a slight smile playing on his lips. He took out his phone to check the time and found it was still early; they could stroll around the mountain and enjoy a spring outing.
Anyway, he and Ye Yunxi had already arranged their work, so there weren't any problems. Besides, he and Ye Yunxi were free to do as they pleased; they could just let him know if anything came up.
Fu Heng turned to Ye Yunxi and asked.
"Xixi, would you like to take a walk on this mountain? The scenery here seems quite nice."
Ye Yunxi looked up at the surrounding scenery, which was quite nice, with mountains, trees, and other places in sight.
Perhaps we can find something by walking around here? No sooner said than done, he turned to Fu Heng and said with a smile.
"Okay, let's go for a walk and relax a bit."
“Okay, then let’s just put the helicopter away. When we get tired of walking, we can just take the helicopter and fly back to base,” Fu Heng said after thinking for a moment.
Ye Yunxi agreed with Fu Heng's statement. After all, who knows if there are people here? If there are people and they are not here, they will take the helicopter for themselves.
Or some small animal, or a heavy animal, might bite or crash into the helicopter, causing them heavy losses.
After the two disembarked from the helicopter, Ye Yunxi waved her hand, storing the helicopter into her spatial storage. She then recalled that at the base, Xuan Yu had only come out of her house once; he hadn't ventured outside at all.
Ye Yunxi asked Xuan Yu what he thought in her mind. When Xuan Yu heard that he could come out, he excitedly said that he wanted to come out.
So Ye Yunxi used her mind to bring Xuan Yu out, along with Yun Zi. Anyway, there was no one around, so she wasn't worried about being seen.
Xuan Yu started chattering nonstop as soon as he left the space.
"I can finally come out! I'm either in my virtual world or at home all day. Staying in there for too long makes me moldy." He took a deep breath and continued, "Ah! Fresh air, nature, I'm here!"
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng smiled at Xuan Yu when they saw his expression. They knew he had been through a lot these past few days. They couldn't do anything about it; there was no news of anyone leaving the base, so they had no choice but to keep Xuan Yu confined to the space.
Then he ran ahead like a madman, with Yunzi chasing after Xuan Yu. Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng walked slowly behind, hand in hand.
Xuan Yu teased Yun Zi as he ran. "Yun Zi, come on, come on, chase me! Hahahaha~"
Looking at this harmonious scene, Ye Yunxi suddenly had an idea and turned to Fu Heng to say something.
"How about we leave Xuan Yu outside when we go back today, so he can appear openly in everyone's sight? What do you think?"
Fu Heng stopped and thought for a moment before speaking.
"That's possible, but how should we talk about Xuan Yu?"
Ye Yunxi thought for a moment and then said.
"How about this, we'll say we found Xuan Yu by chance outside. He has amnesia and no family. We took pity on him and brought him back to the base, what do you think?"
Fu Heng thought about it and agreed. "Let's decide on this for now, and we'll adapt to the situation as it unfolds."
Seeing that Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng had not yet come up, Xuan Yu turned around and shouted to them.
"You guys are so slow! Hurry up and come up!"
Yunzi wagged its tail beside Xuanyu and barked at them.
Fu Heng smiled and shouted to him, "I know! You guys go first, we'll be there soon. Be careful."
Upon hearing what Fu Heng said, Xuan Yu ignored them and led Yun Zi deeper into the mountains.
Xuan Yu led Yun Zi deep into the mountains and saw several animal carcasses in front of them, all of which had turned into piles of bones.
Xuan Yu ignored this; perhaps humans had come up the mountain to hunt before, or perhaps they were at the top of the animal food chain. He only glanced at it before leading Yun Zi to the other side.
The man and his dog walked cautiously, observing their surroundings.
Xuan Yu led Yun Zi to this side of the hill and saw a cave in front of them. He looked at the cave with some curiosity, wondering what was inside.
While observing the cave, they slowly approached it.
At this time, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng were unaware that Xuan Yu was in trouble. They thought it was a rare opportunity for them to have some private time, so they weren't worried about Yunzi and Xuan Yu.
Xuan Yu carefully led Yun Zi to the entrance of the cave. He looked inside and saw that it was pitch black. He picked up a stone and threw it in, listening to the sound of the stone.
"Hmm. It feels quite deep. Yunzi, let's go further in and take a look."
Yunzi wagged its tail and hissed, indicating that it was okay to go in.
The man and his dog slowly walked in. There was nothing unusual ahead, so they continued walking.
When they reached about the middle section, Xuan Yu heard a creaking sound coming from inside.
Xuan Yu frowned, bent down, and whispered to Yun Zi.
"Yunzi, let's keep our voices down, don't make a sound, and don't shout."
Yunzi tilted its head and looked at Xuanyu, then licked Xuanyu's face to indicate that it understood.
Xuan Yu and Yun Zi quietly approached the inside. When they reached the innermost part, Xuan Yu saw that it was actually a natural pit with countless holes of all sizes on the stone walls.
All that could be heard were countless creaking sounds coming from inside the cave and from the bottom of the pit.
Xuan Yu took a closer look and gasped when he saw the creatures inside. He hadn't expected that thousands upon thousands of rats lived there. The pit contained a horrifying pile of white bones. The animal skeletons he had seen earlier must have been food for these rats.
Hyun-woo and Yun-tzu remained silent, quietly backing away towards the cave entrance. Unexpectedly, Hyun-woo stepped on a bone, instantly drawing the attention of all the rats in the cave, who turned to look at Hyun-woo and Yun-tzu.
