They received approval from Commander Wu and nodded with a smile.
Wu Jiji continued, "This isn't the place to chat, let's go downstairs."
Li Yan asked Wu Jiji for instructions.
"Base Commander, the mutated rats in this area have been cleared out. I'll leave these soldiers here to protect you while I go help the others eliminate the mutated rats."
Seeing that Elder Ye and the others were safe, Ye Yunxi and the others were relieved. Then Li Yan continued...
"Base commander, a few of us will also go with Captain Li to help."
The base commander smiled and said, "Alright, then you can all go together."
The group bid farewell to the base commander and Elder Ye, and followed Li Yan to help the other soldiers.

While Ye Yunxi and the others weren't paying attention, a mutated rat pounced on the last person and bit her on the shoulder.
Chen Zhe cried out in pain as he shook off the mutated rat on his back.
Zhang Haiyi was closest to him and helped Chen Zhe take down the mutated rat by shooting it.
Chen Zhe, supporting his injured shoulder, knelt on the ground in pain.
When Zhang Jing saw Chen Zhe's bloodied and mangled shoulder, she almost cried.
"Chen Zhe, how are you?"
While fighting the mutated rats, Ye Yunxi approached Chen Zhe and asked him with concern.
"Zhe, how are you? Can you stand up?"
Chen Zhe's expression was rather unpleasant.
"Sister Yunxi, please allow me to pause for a moment."
