Some people couldn't stand it anymore and said, "Young lady, what you're doing is unreasonable. Grandma Liu is an elderly person, and you should respect the elderly and care for the young."
"Yes, you're so young, don't be so quick to commit murder and arson."
"That's right, even just helping the old man up and apologizing would be fine."
The people in line were all talking at once, criticizing Ye Yunxi.
Ye Yunxi looked at everyone with a cold face.
Seeing this, Fu Heng was about to retort when Ye Yunxi stopped him, telling him with her eyes that she would handle it, and then remained silent.
Ye Yunxi looked at everyone with a cold face and warned, "Don't meddle in things that aren't your business, but if you mess with me, you'll suffer the consequences."
After being warned by Ye Yunxi, everyone stopped interfering in Grandma Liu's affairs.
Seeing that no one was helping her, Grandma Liu stopped crying and fussing, got up and glared fiercely at Ye Yunxi before returning home with a sense of relief.
Ye Yunxi watched as Grandma Liu fled in panic, said nothing, and prepared to go upstairs to go home.
"Ye Yunxi!" Jiang Ming and Li Xin were overjoyed to see Ye Yunxi and called out to her.
Ye Yunxi looked towards the source of the sound and saw Jiang Ming and Li Xin. She frowned slightly. What were they doing here? When did they arrive?
Jiang Ming and Li Xin quickly ran downstairs and came to Ye Yunxi.
"Yunxi, that's great! I didn't expect to see you again. Do you live here? Which floor do you live on?" Li Xin asked happily.
"Xixi, why didn't you answer my calls earlier? And I couldn't get through to you at all. Did you change your phone number?" Jiang Ming asked excitedly.
Ye Yunxi didn't answer their questions, but coldly asked, "What are you doing here? When did you arrive?"
Li Xin replied with a smile, "I rented a house here. I just moved here before the natural disaster."
Ye Yunxi looked at Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming said awkwardly, "Li Xin moved to a new house, and we came here to celebrate. We didn't expect this natural disaster to happen."
Jiang Ming, fearing that Ye Yunxi would misunderstand, quickly explained, "Xixi, don't misunderstand. There's nothing between Li Xin and me, I promise."
“Yes, Yunxi, believe us, nothing’s wrong with us,” Li Xin chimed in.
Ye Yunxi watched them singing in unison; whether anything had happened, only they knew.
Seeing that Ye Yunxi was not speaking, Jiang Ming thought she was angry and coaxed her, "Xixi, are you angry? We're really nothing. I'm just staying here temporarily. I was originally going to find you, but then the natural disaster happened and I can't leave."
Then, she added ingratiatingly, "But now that I've met you here, I don't have to search for you everywhere anymore. Let's make up, Xixi, and let me come to your house to serve you."
Ye Yunxi felt disgusted when she heard Jiang Ming call her Xixi.
She warned, "First, don't call me Xixi, it sounds disgusting. Second, my house is too small to accommodate you. Third, don't come looking for me, otherwise..."
Jiang Ming was deeply hurt upon hearing Ye Yunxi's warning.
Li Xin couldn't stand it anymore and said, "Yunxi, you have to believe Jiang Ming and me. What we said is the truth."
"Whether it's true or not, only you know. What does it have to do with me? I am me, and he is him," Ye Yunxi said coldly to Li Xin.
Li Xin wanted to say something more, but Jiang Ming stopped her.
Ye Yunxi glanced at Jiang Ming and Li Xin, then pulled Fu Heng upstairs.
Jiang Ming watched Ye Yunxi holding another man's hand and secretly vowed with resentment, "Ye Yunxi, just you wait, one day I will win you over again!"
Fu Heng remained silent throughout the entire process, keeping his eyes fixed on Jiang Ming and Li Xin.
Unexpectedly, Ye Yunxi pulled her upstairs by the hand.
Seeing that Ye Yunxi still hadn't let go, Fu Heng was overjoyed.
After going up a few floors, Ye Yunxi realized that she was holding Fu Heng's hand. She stopped, let go of Fu Heng's hand, and apologized to him.
"I'm sorry for dragging you upstairs. You must have seen how ridiculous we were," Ye Yunxi said sadly.
Fu Heng looked at his hands as he pried them open, somewhat disappointed.
Hearing Ye Yunxi apologize to him, he asked nervously, "What are you apologizing for?"
Ye Yunxi said dejectedly, "The two of them, one is my ex-boyfriend, and the other is my best friend. I never expected them to be here."
Fu Heng heard nothing else but the words "ex-boyfriend".
Fu Heng looked at Ye Yunxi with a puzzled expression and asked, "So what are they now...?"
Ye Yunxi told Fu Heng about her past without holding back.
Finally, Ye Yunxi said viciously, "They harmed me before, and I didn't expect them to come after me again."
Fu Heng listened silently to Ye Yunxi's words, but when he suddenly heard that she had harmed him, he frowned and looked at Ye Yunxi, asking, "How did I harm you?"
Ye Yunxi had spoken so much to Fu Heng without any warning. When she heard Fu Heng's question, her eyes darted away, and she replied, "It's nothing, it's all in the past. Let's go home quickly."
After saying that, Ye Yunxi fled in panic.
Fu Heng watched Ye Yunxi run away without saying anything, and followed her upstairs.
They arrived at the 23rd floor. Ye Yunxi took out her keys, ready to open the door and go home, when Fu Heng stopped her.
Thinking he was being called back because of what had just happened, she turned and gave him a warning look.
Seeing Ye Yunxi's expression, Fu Heng said irritably, "I'm asking you, how's your study of the DVDs I gave you going? Is there anything you don't understand?"
Ye Yunxi was a little embarrassed. "I've watched a few of the DVDs, but there are some parts I don't understand."
“Then come to my house tomorrow, and I’ll teach you. If you’re worried, you can bring Yunzi along.” Fu Heng’s lips twitched.
"Okay. Thank you for your help then."
"No trouble at all, how about nine o'clock tomorrow morning?" Fu Heng asked.
Ye Yunxi thought for a moment and said, "Okay, then see you tomorrow morning."
Fu Heng winced slightly: "Okay, see you tomorrow morning."
Watching Ye Yunxi's retreating figure, he smiled. He hadn't expected her to talk about her past today; it seemed she had let her guard down around him.
The man downstairs named Jiang Ming was someone I particularly disliked.
He turned around, opened the door, and went home.
