One of the soldiers remembered that a man had seen the mushrooms in their basket and asked them where they were. He had even told the man where the mushrooms were. After thinking about it, he decided to tell Captain Li about it.
"Team Leader Li, a man just saw the mushrooms in our hands and asked us where we picked them. We told him it was outside the base. He then ran away without looking back."
Li Yan frowned. The situation with this mushroom was still unclear, and they absolutely couldn't let the people at the base pick it.
So they asked the soldier who had spoken earlier, "Which direction did the man who asked you go?"
The soldier replied, "He ran into the base, probably to go home and get something to pack."
He Yidong thought for a moment and then said to Li Yan.
"Captain Li, how about this: I'll take a few people and wait here for that man, while the rest of you take the mushrooms to Professor Hu for testing."
If we see that man, we will stop him from picking mushrooms.
Li Yan nodded; that was the only way. "Alright, let's do it your way. Leave a few people here; those who have seen the man, stay. The rest, take the mushrooms to the cultivation site for Professor Hu."
Several soldiers carried baskets toward the planting area, taking the baskets of mushrooms to Professor Hu for inspection.
The remaining soldiers stayed behind with He Yidong to guard the base gate, waiting for the man who asked them about mushrooms to come over.
Meanwhile, Ye Yunxi and the others were unaware that mushrooms had suddenly sprouted outside the base.
She was busy with her own things. Although she had learned a lot from Professor Ye, she was still learning other things. She had learned Western medicine, and she wanted to learn traditional Chinese medicine as well.
Li Yan, accompanied by several soldiers, arrived at the planting site and went directly to Professor Hu's office.

Li Yan stopped beating around the bush and spoke directly to Professor Hu.
"Professor Hu, it's like this, these baskets of mushrooms were picked by my men outside the base. We don't recognize this variety of mushroom, and we don't know if it's edible, so we brought them over for you to take a look at and see if they're poisonous."
After hearing what Li Yan said, Professor Hu immediately stood up from his seat and walked towards the mushrooms that the soldiers were carrying.
I picked up one of the mushrooms and looked at it, but couldn't figure out what it was.
He looked at them with a serious expression and asked.
"Xiao Li, you said these mushrooms were picked outside the base? Are there many mushrooms outside the base?"
Li Yan shook his head. "I don't know, you'll have to ask my men."
Li Yan turned to the soldiers and said, "Tell Professor Hu everything you've seen and know."
A soldier saluted and said to Professor Hu.
"We found them while patrolling outside the base. I spotted them first. I saw the shape of mushrooms in the grass, and at first, I thought I was seeing things, but then I saw more in the grass ahead, and that's when I realized they were mushrooms."
We didn't recognize the variety of this mushroom, and since we hadn't eaten it for two years, we decided to pick some to treat ourselves.
That's why we picked the mushrooms. We had just entered the base when we saw Team Leader Li and Team Leader He, so they asked us to bring the mushrooms for you to inspect first.
Professor Hu turned to look at Li Yan, who nodded and said...
"It is indeed as they said. Let them bring it to you for inspection."
Professor Hu frowned. "Alright, leave the mushrooms here. Tell the people at the base that if anyone sees the mushrooms, do not pick them. Let me study them to see if they are poisonous."

On the surface, they agreed readily, but unfortunately, they hadn't tasted mushrooms in a long time and had almost forgotten what they tasted like.

The group laughed and teased the man, calling him a coward.
What they didn't know was that eating this mushroom would cause them to foam at the mouth and slowly die.
Then, this man, who did not go with them, escaped this calamity.
When it was time for the soldiers to go to bed at night, a few men and women sneakily climbed over a high wall at the base while the soldiers were away.
There will be no one guarding them, so they can go out and pick mushrooms without anyone knowing.
Professor Hu had been researching for a while but had no clue, so he called on Professor Fang and Professor Zhang, and several professors worked together until dawn.
The next morning, Ye Yunxi got up, washed up, and had a simple breakfast with Fu Heng and Xuan Yu.
Yunzi continued her training at Li Yan's training camp, only able to go home once every few days.
After finishing breakfast, the three of them drove off to work.
Twenty minutes later, upon arriving at the base hospital, Ye Yunxi bid farewell to Fu Heng and Xuan Yu and headed towards her office.
I walked to the office and saw that no one had come yet. I went to my seat, sat down, and started doing my own thing.
Ten minutes later, Gu Qingqing and Zhang Jing arrived together. When they saw Ye Yunxi, they greeted her with smiles.
"Sister Yunxi, you're here so early today."
Ye Yunxi turned her head and smiled at them.
"I got up early today, so I'm here a little early. Have you had breakfast yet?"
Gu Qingqing and Zhang Jing nodded. "We've eaten. What about Sister Yunxi?"
"I've already eaten."
