Ali was overjoyed and said to Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng.
"Alright, then we won't thank you. It's getting late, so please get some rest. We'll treat you to a warm welcome after daybreak. Please don't refuse me; consider it a way of welcoming our distinguished guests."
"Yes, esteemed guests, please agree to our request, otherwise I'll feel guilty!"
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng exchanged a glance, and Fu Heng turned to look at Aliman and the villagers.
"Alright, then we'll gladly accept your offer. Thank you all."
When Aliman heard that they had agreed, he smiled broadly and urged them to go and rest.
Ye Yunxi and the others nodded and went back to their yurts to continue resting.
It was a little after eight in the morning, and the outside was bustling with activity.
Early in the morning, Aliman instructed several villagers to catch a cow and a sheep to slaughter and butcher for his distinguished guests.
Meanwhile, the women in the village were instructed to prepare lunch to entertain the distinguished guests.
Ye Yunxi woke up when she heard the noise outside. She turned to look at her companions, who were still asleep.
She sat up, took out her phone and checked the time; it was past eight o'clock.
Last night, after they hunted the wolves, they didn't fall asleep for a long time, fearing that the wolves might return. It's safe to assume that the remaining wolves won't come back.
Now that she was awake, she couldn't fall back asleep, so Ye Yunxi quietly got out of bed and put on her shoes.
Upon hearing the noise, Fu Heng immediately woke up and called out softly.
"Xixi, you're awake!"
Ye Yunxi turned around and saw Fu Heng sitting up and looking at her.
They smiled at each other. "You're awake too."
Fu Heng nodded, got up, and put on his shoes.
"I'll go out with you so we won't disturb their sleep."
Ye Yunxi smiled but didn't say anything.
After getting dressed and washing up, the two walked out of the yurt together.
I saw that everyone in the village was busy.
When the villagers saw the distinguished guests come out, they greeted them with smiles.
"You two are up. Please wait a moment while we prepare some of our morning tea for you. We'll have something delicious for lunch."
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng also smiled and thanked them.
"Thank you, you've worked hard."
Aliman saw his two benefactors come out and walked over with a smile, saying...
"My two benefactors, you're awake. Are you hungry? Come with me, and I'll show you some of our local delicacies."
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng were indeed a little hungry, so they followed Aliman.
We arrived at a yurt and watched a woman working.
Aliman shouted, "Lamu, our benefactors have arrived! Quickly prepare morning tea for our two benefactors!"
The woman named Ram turned around, saw them, and smiled.
"Alright, my two benefactors, please have a seat. Morning tea will be ready shortly."
Aliman had Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng sit on the kang (a heated brick bed), and soon called for Lamu's women to bring several bowls, a plate of beef, and a kettle. Three of the bowls contained something that looked like flour.
I saw Ram carrying a kettle, pouring milk tea into a bowl of flour. She then poured milk tea into other bowls as well.
Aliman said to Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng.
"My two benefactors, this flour-like thing is called tsampa here. It's a delicious food. We always take it with us when we go out to work, and it keeps us full."
And this is our savory milk tea, with sliced beef soaked in it. It's delicious, you should try it.
Aliman taught them how to make tsampa while also teaching them how to eat delicious food.
It was Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng's first time making tsampa, but they learned how quickly.
I scooped up a piece of tsampa and put it in my mouth. The salty and savory flavor of the milk tea blended together, creating a unique taste.
They quickly finished their morning tea and strolled around the neighborhood for a while.
Everyone in the village greeted them warmly when they saw them.
Back in their yurt, Gu Qingqing and Zhang Jing got up.
When Gu Qingqing saw them return, she smiled and asked them.
"Sister Yunxi, Brother Heng, should we stay another night or set off this afternoon?"
Before coming, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng discussed it and decided to rest for another day and set off directly the next morning.
"Let's stay another night and set off directly tomorrow morning."
Time flew by, and it was past noon when Aliman personally came to call Ye Yunxi and the others for lunch.
The group followed Aliman out to a relatively large yurt, where food had already been laid out.
When the villagers saw them arrive, they warmly invited them to take a seat.
The group sat down at a long table, and someone immediately came up to pour them mare's milk wine.
Aliman said to them, “My benefactors, please don’t stand on ceremony. Eat to your heart’s content and try our mare’s milk wine. It’s fragrant but not intoxicating.”
Fu Heng said politely, "Thank you, we'll do it ourselves."
Aliman raised his cup of mare's milk and said, "This is to our most respected benefactors. If they don't mind, please stay another night and leave tomorrow."
Ye Yunxi and the others had the same idea, but they hadn't had a chance to tell Aliman yet. Since he brought it up, they would go along with his suggestion.
"Uncle Aliman, actually we were thinking the same thing. We'd like to stay another night and leave tomorrow morning. We just haven't had a chance to tell you yet."
"Oh, really? That's good then. Welcome back again."
Fu Heng pressed on while the iron was hot and asked Aliman questions.
"Uncle Aliman, have you ever heard of a man named Yanluo or Shen Nuoyang?"
Aliman thought for a moment before answering him, "Sorry, I haven't heard of either of those people you mentioned."
"It's nothing, I was just asking casually."
Aliman once again urged Fu Heng and the others to eat and drink.
Chen Zhe and his companions drank mare's milk wine and ate meat.
They enjoyed their lunch and experienced the hospitality of the Tibetan people.
Halfway through lunch, a villager rushed over and whispered a few words in Aliman's ear. Aliman was terrified and then told Ye Yunxi and the others.
"Please eat first, my benefactors. I have some business to attend to in our tribe, I'll be right back."
Before they could reply, he hurriedly left with a few people.
Only Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng remained. The group looked at each other in bewilderment before deciding to follow them out to see what was going on.
Aliman led his men outside the fence and saw about ten people on horseback waiting outside.
Ali looked at the man in front of him with displeasure and said.
"Why are you here again? Didn't we just have a competition a few days ago? You won and left with our supplies. What more do you want?"
Ignoring Aliman's displeasure, the visitor suppressed his anger and spoke.
"I'm not here for the competition, but because I heard that some outsiders have come to your place. Our boss has taken a fancy to a few women from out of town. If you know what's good for you, hand them over, and I'll guarantee your safety."
When Aliman heard that this person had come to ask for his benefactor back, he knew he would never hand him over, even if it meant death.
"Aler, don't go too far! Even if I, Aliman, die, I will never hand over my benefactors to you!"
