“We can’t leave the body here,” Fu Heng said.
"Then let's burn it."
Ye Yunxi took out gasoline from her spatial storage.
The two men worked together to throw the bodies on the roadside and poured gasoline on them.
It only takes a tiny spark to ignite instantly.
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng didn't stand still; instead, they went to bring back all the wild boars and wolves they had just killed.
Put things in the trunk if you can, otherwise put them on the roof.
Fortunately, the vehicle was big enough and had a strong load-bearing capacity, so it was able to carry everything.
The return trip was a bit slower.
When Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng left, the fire was still burning.
The two encountered no further unexpected situations on the rest of the journey and returned safely to the farmhouse.
As soon as they entered the farmhouse, they saw that the parking lot was full of cars, and Li Yan and the others' cars had already returned.
Before they had even stopped, they saw someone come out of the lobby and look in their direction.
The man quickly turned and went back to the main hall. A moment later, Li Yan led his men out and strode towards them.
“I’m going down to talk to him, do you want to come with me?” Fu Heng turned to ask Ye Yunxi.
"No, you go ahead," Ye Yunxi said, shaking her head.
Ye Yunxi didn't want to deal with the people at the base; Fu Heng was a better choice.
Fu Heng opened the car door and got out, and Li Yan happened to walk to the car as well.
Their voices were neither too loud nor too soft, and they were quite close together, so Ye Yunxi could still hear their conversation.
After some discussion, it was decided that one contribution point would be awarded for every pound of wild boar, and the same applied to wild wolves.
The people behind Li Yan walked towards a large truck and returned shortly after carrying the scale.
The wolves and wild boars on the truck were all unloaded, weighed, and then put back on the truck.
When Fu Heng returned to the car, he had several cards in his hand.
"These are cards from the base. Each card has 1,000 contribution points. When you get back to the base, go to the service center and they'll transfer them to our cards. Here, have these cards with you."
"Just leave it with you. We can exchange contribution points together when we get back to the base," Ye Yunxi said, shaking her head.
"Okay, I'll listen to you," Fu Heng said to Ye Yunxi with a smile.
"Should we eat something before we go in?" Fu Heng asked Ye Yunxi.
"Okay." Ye Yunxi took out her phone and checked the time; it was a little after four in the afternoon.
If you had a good lunch, then dinner should be simpler.
Ye Yunxi smiled mysteriously at Fu Heng and said, "I'll give you something you've never eaten before tonight."
After saying that, he took out Korean BBQ bibimbap, jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), and soda from his spatial storage.
Yunzi's meals consist of dog food, canned fish, and large chicken legs, which are placed in her food bowl.
The two started eating. Fu Heng was eating Korean-style jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). After slurping a mouthful of noodles, he found it sweet and asked Ye Yunxi to take out some chili sauce to mix with the noodles.
After finishing their meal and tidying up, the two got out of the car and headed towards the lobby. As soon as they reached the door, they heard a noisy commotion inside.
Some people were chatting, some were arguing, and there were children crying.
As Ye Yunxi was thinking, Fu Heng had already lifted the curtain.
A wave of heat, mixed with a strange smell, hit me.
Ye Yunxi frowned and paused in her steps.
Fu Heng could tell that Ye Yunxi didn't want to go in, so he said, "Let's go look somewhere else. The smell here is really unpleasant."
"Okay." Ye Yunxi smiled at Fu Heng.
The two immediately turned and left the lobby.
The two had only walked a short distance when they heard someone shout for help ahead.
Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng exchanged a glance and decided to go see what was going on.
"Help! No, please don't come any closer!" The girl sat on the ground, trembling as she spoke and backed away.
"Hehehe, little girl, you're all alone now, let your brother pamper you."
As soon as I stepped outside the half-broken house, I heard sounds coming from inside.
Ye Yunxi quickened her pace and walked into the house.
Hearing the voice, the man turned around angrily and shouted, "Who is it? Interrupting my business!"
Upon seeing Ye Yunxi, his expression immediately changed, "Oh, another beauty has arrived."
Ye Yunxi stared coldly at the man, not noticing the girl's appearance.
But then they heard the girl cry out in surprise, "Brother Fu, save me!"
Ye Yunxi then noticed that the girl was actually Hu Huiyi.
She turned her head and raised an eyebrow at Fu Heng behind her.
Fu Heng felt embarrassed by Ye Yunxi's stare, and then gave Hu Huiyi a cold look.
Hu Huiyi felt Fu Heng's unfriendly gaze and avoided looking at him.
Seeing that there was another person and a dog, the man pointed fiercely at Hu Huiyi and demanded, "Are you here to rescue her?"
"Yes and no," Fu Heng said softly.
"It's nothing at all, stop fucking beating around the bush," the man cursed angrily.
"Brother Fu, save me! It's me, Hu Huiyi!" Before Fu Heng could speak, Hu Huiyi cried out anxiously.
Ye Yunxi frowned, thinking to herself, "Brother Fu? I haven't even called him that, what right do you have to?"
Before Fu Heng could speak, the man picked up a knife and charged at Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng.
Fu Heng reacted quickly, pulling out his gun to knock the man's knife away and then shooting him in the thigh.
The man knelt down, begging Fu Heng for mercy, saying he would never dare to do it again.
Fu Heng told men to get as far away as possible.
The man was so frightened that he immediately got up and ran away.
Ye Yunxi asked Fu Heng in confusion, "Why didn't you just kill him?"
"He has injuries, which look like he was scratched by wild animals, but he managed to escape. Even if we let him go, he won't live past tonight."
