Chapter 6 Stockpiling Supplies 4

Ye Yunxi drove to a restaurant, parked her car, went inside, and found an empty seat.

Looking at the menu, I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce, Loofah and Egg Drop Soup, and a bowl of rice.

Soon, all the dishes were served. I took a bite, and the taste was alright. After we finish eating, I'll talk to the owner about ordering more food.

Ye Yunxi finished her meal slowly and then went to the owner to discuss the order. "Boss, please make the dishes on the menu into fast food, three or four dishes per serving, two hundred servings a day, for two consecutive months."

Upon hearing that Ye Yunxi wanted to order food, the restaurant owner thought it would be foolish not to make money. He immediately agreed, "Sure."

Ye Yunxi paid the deposit to the boss, gave him the warehouse address, and drove to the vegetable farm.

She found the farmer and explained her purpose. The farmer told her that there were many varieties of vegetables.

"We ordered 30,000 jin each of Chinese cabbage, bok choy, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, chives, garlic sprouts, yams, potatoes, lettuce, etc."

After paying, I asked the old man to deliver it to the warehouse address. I also asked him if he knew where the slaughterhouse was.

The old man took Ye Yunxi's money and told her with a smile, "Then you've come to the right person. I have a relative who runs a slaughterhouse business. His family also has a farm that raises pigs, cattle, and sheep. I can take you there and get him to give you a discount."

Ye Yunxi thought to herself, "This old man is a good person. With him leading the way, I won't have to make the trip myself."

"Okay, thank you for your help, sir." Ye Yunxi thanked the farmer politely.

The old man smiled and said, "Hey, it's no trouble at all, it's just a small thing."

The farmer then led Ye Yunxi to the slaughterhouse.

When we arrived at the slaughterhouse, we saw a bearded man feeding the livestock.

The old farmer shouted, "Little Zhang, I've brought someone with me."

Uncle Zhang, who had a beard, heard the farmer calling him, put down his tools, and hurriedly ran over.

I called out to the farmer, "Uncle, you've come!"

Upon seeing the newcomer, the farmer greeted Ye Yunxi with a smile and introduced him: "Young lady, this is my nephew. You can call him Uncle Zhang. If you need anything, just tell him."

"Xiao Zhang, this young lady bought my vegetables and asked me where I could buy livestock, so I brought them to you," the farmer said to Xiao Zhang.

The two men nodded to each other after being introduced by the farmer.

Ye Yunxi asked Xiao Zhang, "Uncle Zhang, besides cows, sheep, and pigs, do you have any chickens, ducks, or geese here?"

"Yes, yes, yes, these chickens, ducks and geese are raised on the other side, and there are also chicken eggs, duck eggs and goose eggs." Xiao Zhang immediately answered when Ye Yunxi asked about the other livestock.

"Alright, I want six hundred each of the cattle, sheep, and pigs, the good ones. And for the ones that aren't slaughtered, I want a pair of males and females from each breed."

We need 1,000 chickens, ducks, and geese, all slaughtered. We also need two of each of the laying eggs, but not slaughtered.

"I need three thousand plates each of chicken eggs, goose eggs, and duck eggs," Ye Yunxi said in one breath, then stared at Xiao Zhang to see what he would say.

When Xiao Zhang heard Ye Yunxi mention so many quantities, he was surprised and thought he had misheard. He even glanced at the farmer, and only after receiving a smile and nod from the farmer did he realize that he hadn't misheard.

Seeing the exchange of glances between Xiao Zhang and the old farmer, Ye Yunxi spoke again, "Uncle Zhang, what's your account number? I'll give you a deposit first, and you can pay the balance later when all the goods are ready."

Without saying a word, Xiao Zhang happily gave the money to Ye Yunxi's account. He couldn't stop smiling when he saw the money transferred to her account.

He assured her, "Don't worry! I'll take care of everything properly. By the way, what's your name? Where are these animals being taken?"

Ye Yunxi raised an eyebrow at Xiao Zhang, who was grinning from ear to ear, and said, "My surname is Chen, just call me Xiao Chen. Send the package to the xxx warehouse in Crescent Bay. Call me when the package arrives, and I'll come to pick it up."

Xiao Zhang repeatedly assured the farmer that she would not be shortchanged on any goods, and that she would be fined ten times the price for any missing items, and that everything would be fresh.

Ye Yunxi nodded in satisfaction, bid farewell to the farmer and Xiao Zhang, and headed to the next place, the orchard.

When the heat is intense, how can one survive without fruit? Drinking water alone is not enough; vitamin supplements are necessary.

Upon arriving at the orchard, we found the farmers, a middle-aged couple and their son.

Ye Yunxi walked up to them and said, "Hello, uncle and aunt, what kind of fruit do you have here?"

The farmer couple smiled as they saw the visitor: "Young lady, we have so many kinds of fruit here, including watermelons, pears, apples, pomelos, oranges, grapes, cantaloupes, honeydew melons, and more."

We have partnerships in this area; basically, everything sold on the market is available here.

Hearing the farmer's reply, Ye Yunxi nodded in satisfaction: "I want all of these, two thousand catties of each variety."

The farmer couple were stunned and didn't speak. Instead, their son spoke up, "Miss, what do you need so many for?"

Ye Yunxi casually replied, "I'm going to use it to open a fruit shop."

The farmer couple slowly spoke: "Oh, I see. Well then, young lady, come back to collect the goods in a week."

Ye Yunxi shook her head and refused: "I'll give you an address. Just send it to the address above, and I'll pick it up there."

The farmer couple thought it over and agreed to Ye Yunxi's request.

I promise to deliver it to her, and I'll contact her when it's ready.

After paying the deposit, Ye Yunxi looked up at the sky. It was a bit hot and she was sweating. She said goodbye to the farmer couple and went back to her car to turn on the air conditioning.

We drove towards the city center.
