Chapter 50

Chapter 50

After Lin Li got home, she sat in a chair playing on her phone, only to realize belatedly that she had forgotten the most important thing.

Forget it, if we can't contact each other by phone, then so be it!

This actually adds a strange sense of anticipation.

Lin Li realized he didn't have a swimsuit yet, so he casually typed "swimsuit" into the video app's search bar.

The first column is for praising.

[Sexy Swimming]

Lin Li's eyes widened in disbelief; he swore he had never searched for such content before!

Wait a minute... why would he buy a swimsuit online?

As if she had thought of something, Lin Li gave a mysterious smile.

_

One day.

Lin Li sat at her desk, fiddling with the bottles and jars on it.

These are the cosmetics he bought. Speaking of which, after he finished his college entrance exams, he spent a fortune on these expensive brand-name cosmetics, but he barely used them a few times. What a pity.

Despite being a seasoned makeup novice, he has big ambitions—eyeliner, false eyelashes, and double eyelid tape, he wants them all.

Half an hour later, Lin Li looked at herself in the mirror and fell into a long silence.

The person in the mirror had eyeliner that flew to his temples, false eyelashes that curled up unevenly, and double eyelid tape that stubbornly reflected the light, covering a third of his eyes.

The eyeshadow and blush were applied too heavily, giving the face a miserable look as if it had been brutally beaten.

“…Never mind.” He slumped his shoulders in frustration, finally giving in to reality. “It’s safer to just put on some BB cream.”

He resignedly got up, went into the bathroom, and carefully removed his "battle-damaged" makeup.

Back in his room, he simply applied a light BB cream to brighten his complexion, just enough to make his skin look fresh and clean.

I tidied myself up in front of the mirror one last time: a classic navy blue school-style short-sleeved shirt paired with brown Japanese-style cargo shorts, making me look well-behaved and full of youthful energy.

He carefully divided the black wig into two sections, tied them together with small rubber bands at the sides of his ears, and let them hang down in front of his chest.

Ready? Lin Li admired herself in the mirror from every angle, then went out with anticipation in her eyes.

_

In an old residential area in Yancheng.

Lin Li stood at Tong Yao's door with a bag of gifts in her hand and gently knocked on the door.

The next second.

The door creaked open.

A boy from next door came out carrying a trash bag and was visibly taken aback when he saw the "pretty girl" standing outside.

Lin Li turned her head curiously, revealing a well-behaved and delicate face. Her originally heroic eyebrows and eyes looked even more adorable under the cover of the wig and bangs.

"...Hello?" the boy asked hesitantly.

His gaze lingered on Lin Li's face, unable to look away, completely ignoring the fact that Lin Li was a head taller than him.

Lin Li was a little confused by his gaze, wondering if they knew each other. But she nodded politely nonetheless.

With a creak, the door opened again.

This time, it was Tong's mother who opened the door. As soon as she saw "Lin Lili," her face lit up with a smile: "Oh, it's Lili! Come in, come in!"

The more Tong's mother looked at her, the more satisfied she became. This girl was good at studying, had a good upbringing, was good-looking, and could speak well. She was simply the ideal daughter template.

Lin Li obediently handed over a small gift box: "Auntie, this is a local specialty flower tea that my mother brought back from her business trip. I heard it's good for sleep, so please have a taste with your uncle."

(Purchased by a certain orange software)

"Oh, my child, you've come all this way, why did you bring anything!" Tong's mother said politely, but her eyes showed even greater affection, and she quickly welcomed "her" into the house.

Outside, it wasn't until he smelled the sour stench of garbage that the boy came to his senses, and his cheeks flushed.

"So her name was Lili..."

He muttered something to himself, casually placed the trash by the door, and then closed the door.

_

The two sat down in the living room, and just as Tong's mother was about to get up to wash some fruit, Lin Li's voice interrupted her.

His purpose in coming today was to first get Tong's mother to agree to let the two of them go to the water park.

Then he allowed Tong Yao to go out with him to buy swimsuits!

He deliberately widened his eyes, making them appear larger and more vibrant, and then began his "performance."

"Auntie~" He raised his voice a little, with a touch of girlish coquettishness, and swayed slightly, "My birthday is in a few days! I really want to go to the new water park with Tong Yao! Just the two of us, okay~?"

He clasped his hands together, blinked his big eyes, and looked at Tong's mother expectantly, even stomping his feet in cooperation.

(Oh my god, he's going to throw up.)

But his intuition told him that Tong Ma was particularly susceptible to this.

"We've made all the plans, and we promise to keep you safe! Auntie, you're the best! Please, please!"

This outgoing, slightly clingy, and endearing way of acting cute creates a wonderful contrast with his tall figure. But perhaps because he is young, it doesn't come across as greasy or disgusting; instead, it adds a touch of endearing contrast.

Tong's mother was completely overwhelmed by this barrage of sweet talk, and her smile couldn't be contained as it widened.

My daughter is usually calm and composed; she's never experienced such an overwhelmingly sweet and adorable attack before. She's incredibly soft-hearted.

Just as Tong's mother was about to drown in this sweet offensive and was about to nod in agreement—

"Click".

Tong Yao's door opened.

She came out to get some water, but she immediately saw that tall figure in the living room, acting all cute and playful around her mother in a way she couldn't have imagined!

That tone, that movement... Tong Yao froze on the spot, her empty water glass almost becoming a casualty.

Her pupils dilated in shock. She knew Lin Li was thick-skinned, but she hadn't expected him to be so shameless that even she felt a wave of nausea just looking at him.

Lin Li's coquettish gesture stopped the moment he heard the door open. He maintained his posture with his hands clasped together and his body slightly turned to the side, then turned his head slightly to meet Tong Yao's eyes, which were filled with "Are you alright?" and "I feel like throwing up."

Lin Li didn't care, and even winked at Tong Yao triumphantly, seemingly unaware of how offensive she looked.

Tong Yao felt a tickle in her hand and couldn't wait to pinch this annoying "Lin Lili".

Unaware of the undercurrents, Tong's mother smiled and said to her petrified daughter, "Yaoyao, look how cute Lili is! She wants to go to the water park for her birthday, I think..."

"Mom! I want some water!" Tong Yao interrupted almost abruptly, her voice trembling slightly. She rushed towards the water dispenser without looking to the side, feeling Lin Li's smiling, burning gaze from behind.

In the end, with the help of Lin Lili's exceptionally cute and charming charm, Tong's mother readily agreed to the water park's invitation, her face still bearing the smile that Lin Lili had coaxed into her.

Lin Li was overjoyed and quickly pulled Tong Yao out, as if afraid that Tong's mother would change her mind if they were a second late.

As she reached the entrance, Lin Li, in a high-pitched voice, called out into the house, "Auntie, Tong Yao and I are going to the newly opened water park in a few days. We need to buy some suitable swimsuits first, and we'll be back soon!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a considerable commotion came from next door.

"Song Tian! I told you to take out the trash, what's with leaving it at the door? Go and throw it in the trash can downstairs!" A middle-aged man's voice came through with dissatisfaction.

Immediately afterward, the door next door clicked open, and a somewhat irritable boy came out carrying a trash bag. As he straightened up, he happened to see the "pretty girl" who had made his heart race holding Tong Yao's hand and calling out to her in a sweet voice from inside the next room.

The boy paused for a moment, his impatience instantly replaced by shyness, and he lowered his head somewhat awkwardly.

Tong Yao was pulled along by Lin Li. She glanced at him helplessly, then nodded to the neighbor boy as a greeting.

The three of them entered the same descending elevator one after the other.

The atmosphere was somewhat quiet in the small space.

The boy stole a few glances at "Lin Lili" standing diagonally in front of him, his fingers nervously gripping the handle of the trash bag.

The elevator descended two floors, and he finally mustered his courage, asking in a soft but clear voice, "Are you... going to the water park?"

Lin Li, still basking in the excitement of his "successful mission," turned around without thinking, his face beaming with undisguised joy. In a lively tone tinged with a touch of pride, he replied, "Yeah, yeah! It's the 12th, my birthday! We made plans to go out together!"

When he opened his mouth, Tong Yao next to him couldn't bear to watch and silently facepalmed in her mind.

Upon hearing this, the boy's eyes widened slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but a "ding" sound from the elevator indicating that it had arrived at the first floor interrupted his words.

Lin Li didn't have time to pay attention to him. She excitedly pulled Tong Yao and walked out quickly, leaving him with only a slender (and tall) back view and a faint... shampoo scent in the air.

She was really tall; it was only then that the boy noticed Lin Li's striking height.

As if he had thought of something, the boy's eyes lit up.

He tossed the trash into the bin and quickly turned back. The boy excitedly opened the door.

"Dad, I want to go to the water park!"

_

Tong Yao watched the person skipping and hopping ahead, their wig swaying with their movements, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly: This person is really too immersed in the role.

She glanced around; it was around three or four in the afternoon, and the alley was quiet with hardly anyone in sight.

He quickened his pace, silently approaching Lin Li, and precisely pinched and twisted a small patch of soft flesh on his waist with his index finger and thumb—without any mercy.

"Awooo—!"

A cry of pain shattered the alley's tranquility. Lin Li clutched her waist and whirled around, grimacing, "Why did you pinch me!"

Tong Yao withdrew her hand without changing her expression, and said calmly, "Didn't someone say that he likes being bullied by me?"

She even calmly crossed her arms, walked past Lin Li who was frozen in place, and casually tossed out a sentence:

"Then I won't touch you anymore."

Lin Li was taken aback, then immediately chased after him:

"So you've learned to turn the tables on me now? Tell me honestly, who taught you that?"

Tong Yao glanced at him: "I learned it from you."

Lin Li was taken aback, then stubbornly retorted, "Then... then did you pay the tuition before you started learning? Stealing someone's skills will be punished!" He nudged Tong Yao with his shoulder with a grin.

Tong Yao glared at him: "What, what do you want to do? What do you dare to do?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Li's eyes flashed with a fierce lightness, and she lightly slapped Tong Yao's bottom, feigning seriousness: "Did you do something wrong?"

With a soft "smack," Tong Yao's cheeks flushed red instantly, both embarrassed and annoyed: "You!"

She turned around abruptly, her eyes flashing like daggers at Lin Li.

Upon seeing this, Lin Li immediately cowered, covering her waist where she had just been pinched with one hand and frantically protecting her ear with the other, while shaking her head rapidly to prevent her "weak point" from being exploited again.

Tong Yao remained silent, only advancing step by step with a dangerous glint in her eyes. Lin Li was forced to retreat repeatedly until her back slammed against the rough cement wall with a thud, leaving her with nowhere to go.

Feeling the solid wall behind him, Lin Li crossed his arms over his chest, feigning fear, and even uttered broken "foreign language": "Yamete! Basketekshiyo!" (meaning: No! Stop!)

Tong Yao was amused by his silly antics and stopped talking nonsense, instead sticking out her fingers to tickle the flesh on his waist.

"Hahaha...no...I was wrong...have mercy, Yao Yao..." Lin Li suddenly became like a fish out of water, twisting her body wildly, laughing through her tears, trying to escape from Tong Yao's "clutches".

But Tong Yao clearly had no intention of letting him off easily.

Seeing that his pleas for mercy were ineffective, Lin Li seized the opportunity and grabbed Tong Yao's hand. With his large hands, he easily restrained both of her wrists with one hand.

With his free hand, he made a gesture as if to reach behind Tong Yao, intending to "fight fire with fire."

"You dare!"

Tong Yao's voice instantly turned cold, as if it contained shards of ice.

Lin Li's movements froze in mid-air; she couldn't extend her hand or retract it.

"Let go!" Tong Yao struggled to free her wrist.

Looking at how easily she had been subdued by him, Lin Li quickly glanced around at the empty surroundings, and a bold idea popped into his head.

He suddenly leaned down and, with lightning speed, gave her a heavy kiss on the lips!

"Trojan horse!"

The sound was loud.

Taking advantage of Tong Yao's momentary daze, he immediately let go, turned around, and ran away.

Tong Yao stood there, her cheeks flushed, watching the fleeing figure, but her lips involuntarily curved into a slight smile.

She cleared her throat and, addressing the figure about to run out of the alley, spoke slowly and deliberately:

"I'll count to three and I'll be right back."

Lin Li suddenly stopped in her tracks.

“1—” Tong Yao’s voice trailed off.

He turned around nervously.

“3!” Tong Yao skipped 2 directly.

Lin Li turned around in shock: "You're cheating!"

In the brief moment of his hesitation as he protested, Tong Yao strode forward and precisely pinched his earlobe.

Lin Li closed her eyes in despair, bracing herself for the familiar pain.

However, the expected pinching did not occur.

A gentle, warm kneading sensation came from my earlobe.

He opened his eyes in surprise, meeting Tong Yao's gaze, which seemed to hold a hint of a smile. Overjoyed, he took advantage of the situation and lowered his head to quickly kiss her cheek.

*Smack!*

"Ouch—it hurts! Your Majesty, I was wrong! I was really wrong!"

This time, his ears finally succumbed to the pain, and he begged for mercy repeatedly.
