Chapter 158 The Fate of Bai Hua and Jiang Min

Chapter 158 The Fate of Bai Hua and Jiang Min

Bai Hua hid in a dilapidated house in the suburbs for several days, until he was starving.

Clutching her last few cents, she walked a long way to call Jiang Min. "Xiao Min, please help your mother! These past few days, debt collectors have been driving me crazy. Please help me, remember how good I've been to you..."

"Bai Hua, how dare you call me? Have you forgotten how you tried to strangle me in the hotel? I've lost my home, and my father doesn't want me anymore."

I have to deal with a bald, wrinkled old man and kiss his stinky dentures every day. Do you think it's easy for me?

From now on, we're no longer mother and daughter. Let's each live our own lives as we are, and don't call me again!

Jiang Min hung up the phone without hesitation, leaving Bai Hua standing there, furious and helpless.

The post office staff were so frightened they wanted to call the police, but Bai Hua quickly covered his head and ran away.

When she was hungry, she had to fight with stray dogs for scraps in the swill bucket. She was chased by the stray dogs so fast that she lost her shoes, but she was still bitten twice.

She had no money for medical treatment, so she could only burn some firewood, apply some wood ash to the wound, and hastily bandage it.

It rained heavily at night, and a light rain fell in the houses.

She was shivering from the cold, her upper teeth chattering, and when she reached into her pocket, she found only one match left. She lit a fire.

She touched her empty stomach and felt her body burning hot.

She gradually fell into a trance, dreaming that she had returned to her former life, where her husband went to work every day, lovingly kissed her cheek, and brought her her favorite roast chicken when he came home.

My daughter is smart and sensible, and I often say funny things to make her happy.

The family of three is often filled with laughter and joy.

She tried desperately to grasp this happiness, but she could never quite catch it. Her body kept moving. Suddenly, she woke up from her dream and found herself lying asleep by the fire.

The fire had long since died down. She touched her burning forehead, tears streaming down her face.

If I had known she would end up like this, why was I so ungrateful back then? Why did I let my good life turn into this impoverished state?

It's all Li Yu's fault. He tricked her into making a mistake. She was too naive to believe that liar.

Something happened. He ran away alone, leaving her here to fend for herself.

She really hates it!

I wish I could kill that wicked man.

"Baihua, Baihua..."

Bai Hua drifted off to sleep again, but then she heard someone calling her.

She opened her eyes and saw Li Yu calling her.

"If you dare show your face again, I'll kill you."

Bai Hua struggled to get up to hit Li Yu, but Li Yu gently grabbed her hand.

"What happened to you? I've been looking for you everywhere."

"What do you want? Do you want to see me make a fool of myself?"

Bai Hua cursed angrily, but Li Yu didn't care about her attitude. "Of course I'm here to take you away. Come back to Hong Kong Island with me!"

"What? Back to Hong Kong Island?" Bai Hua felt like he was dreaming.

She thought Li Yu had given up on her, she thought...

"Are you really taking me to Hong Kong Island?" Bai Hua asked again incredulously.

"Of course, I've already said it, I only love you, and my feelings for you are genuine." Li Yu showed no disgust at Bai Hua's current disheveled appearance, and held her hand affectionately as he spoke.

Bai Hua burst into tears and threw herself into Li Yu's arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

Li Yu gently patted her back, but turned his face away and held his breath, afraid that he might accidentally smell the rotten smell on Bai Hua.

After taking the person to a small hotel to wash up, Bai Hua still wanted to get closer to Li Yu.

Li Yu said, "You haven't been feeling well these past few days. Eat the steamed buns I bought for you first. Be a good girl and get some sleep here. I'll take you away tonight."

"Okay." Bai Hua was so moved that she almost cried again.

After wolfing down the steamed buns, she took the fever reducer that Li Yu had bought for her and drifted off to sleep.

When Li Yu woke her up, she was already in a van.

Upon arriving at the port, Li Yu secretly led her into the lower cabin of a fishing boat. She covered her nose and asked...

"What's going on? Li Yu, shouldn't we be traveling by plane or a big ship? Why are we taking this small, dilapidated fishing boat? The smell of fish and shrimp in here is unbearable."

Li Yu helped her sit on a wooden box and explained.

"My dear, don't you know that those loan sharks are still after you? I'm doing this for your safety."

"If they find out, I can't fight them all. What if they capture you? How can I save you?"

"Yes, that seems to make sense."

"Honey, just bear with it. Once we get to Hong Kong Island, I'll take you out for fancy meals every day and let you stay in a villa."

"You're so good to me."

"Here, sweetie, take another fever reducer." Li Yu handed Bai Hua a pill, which she swallowed without any suspicion.

I was in a daze, and I don't know how many days passed.

Several times during the ordeal, she thought she was going to die, but she persevered.

When she finally saw the light of day again, as soon as the hatch opened, she saw Jiang Min dressed flamboyantly, wearing a bright red dress, standing boldly next to Li Yu.

"Jiang Min, what are you doing here?" Bai Hua was very surprised.

"I coaxed the old man into buying me a plane ticket to Hong Kong Island, saying I was coming to visit for a few days."

Jiang Min said nonchalantly, then glanced at Bai Hua and raised her hand to fan her nose.

"What's that smell! Brother Yu, let's go. I don't care about this old man's life or death."

Upon hearing this, Li Yu smiled and put his arm around Jiang Min's waist as they walked forward, while Bai Hua quickly climbed out and followed behind them.

"Li Yu, what's going on? Don't you love me the most?"

Before Li Yu could answer, Jiang Min suddenly turned around and slapped Bai Hua across the face.

"You old hag, wake up! Brother Yu only brought you here because of me. You're just my maid here, understand?"

If you dare disobey me, I'll throw you right into the sea to feed the sharks.

After beating the man, Jiang Min left with Li Yu's arm around his. Bai Hua's lips trembled as he looked on helplessly.

At this moment, a tall, burly man in black came over, grabbed Bai Hua's clothes, and shoved him into a dilapidated van.

As soon as Bai Hua got on the bus, she noticed that there were more than a dozen people crammed in there, almost all of them women. She suddenly felt that something was wrong.

She pounded on the glass, screaming, "Let me out! Let me out!"

She had only shouted twice when the door suddenly burst open, and someone outside wielding a stick struck her head directly.

Bai Hua immediately fainted. Jiang Min glanced back but didn't pay attention, then turned to ask Li Yu.

"Brother Yu, where are we going now?"

"Of course I'll take you home." Li Yu pinched Jiang Min's butt, and Jiang Min let out a soft moan before happily walking forward with Li Yu by her side.

This trip to Hong Kong Island was a huge undertaking for her; she even managed to swindle the old man out of his plane ticket using countless tricks.

To show her sincerity, she also bought one for Li Yu.

It cost her almost 20,000 yuan in total, which broke her heart.

She had been following this old man for almost a year, and all the savings she had accumulated were wiped out overnight.

But the thought of going to Hong Kong Island with Li Yu to live the life of a wealthy wife gave her hope for the future.

Li Yu hailed a taxi and took them to a villa. Upon entering, he poured each of them a glass of red wine.

"Cheers! My little Min. Let's wait in the room for a bit; my parents won't be back until tonight!"

Jiang Min obediently drank it all in one gulp. Just ten minutes later, she felt her whole body burning hot, and her mind was so excited that she felt like she was flying.

Several muscular men appeared around her, all grinning maliciously as they reached out their hands to her.
