Chapter 178 An Eye for an Eye
Jiang Ruzhen left the cafeteria and strolled slowly along the road leading to the Adult Education College. Suddenly, a nimble figure jumped out from behind a big tree and took her arm.
"Mom, how did it go? Did you agree to Professor Meng's confession?"
Jiang Ruzhen glared at her daughter, who was like a whistleblower, and said, "How can you ask such a question? Does that do justice to how good Uncle Lu has been to you?"
With a smile in her eyes, Shen Shuxin pretended to be innocent and said, "Mom, I'm on your side. No matter how many sweet words Uncle Lu throws at me, I will not waver."
"Heh!" Jiang Ruzhen sneered. "Who just abandoned me and ran away without a word when I asked for help? Is this how you stand on my side?"

"I was just worried you'd feel awkward. Didn't you and Uncle Lu break up? I thought it wouldn't hurt for you to try other options."
