Chapter 79 Surrounded, Dangerous
"What a small world," Jiang Ruzhen thought to herself. The shop owner's son was actually the same fat, big-eared tycoon she had met at the hotel's Western restaurant the day before yesterday.
Not wanting to cause any further trouble, Jiang Ruzhen nodded to him and then looked towards the shop owner.
"Boss, money is no problem, we'll exchange cash for goods."
Just as Jiang Ruzhen was about to hand over the bracelet, her wrist was grabbed by a chubby pig's hand.
"Beautiful lady, you're still as aloof as ever, but I quite like your fiery temper."
Jiang Ruzhen noticed something was off about the fat man's eyes and warily withdrew her hand. The bracelet disappeared into her spatial storage the instant it was put into her bag.
"Boss, is this place a shady business? Are you deliberately causing trouble because you don't want to do business here?"
Jiang Ruzhen's eyes sharpened. "I must have someone behind me to have found this place. I advise you not to have any ulterior motives."
The shop owner's smile vanished, and he angrily scolded his son, "What are you doing? Let go of him! Don't delay our transaction!"
The fat man chuckled and said to his father, "Dad, don't worry. This woman is just a vain, materialistic gold digger. The other day she went to a Western restaurant with a nouveau riche."
Did you manage to get something good off that man and sell it?
Upon hearing this, the shop owner's expression softened, and he leaned back in his chair, casually saying, "It's a hibiscus jade bracelet, quite valuable."
"How much will you pay?"
"I originally thought she had connections, so I paid the price as usual, fifteen."
"Fifteen?" the fat man exclaimed in surprise, then laughed. "I didn't expect such a big one today, Dad, let's make money and women at the same time!"
"What do you mean?" The shop owner straightened up, intrigued.
"I sent someone to inquire about her the day before yesterday. She's just a small clothing vendor from that tiny, run-down city of Liancheng. She has no powerful connections whatsoever."
Relying on her good looks, she somehow managed to hook up with a nouveau riche, probably hoping to get something out of him!
"We don't need to be afraid of a woman like that. Why don't we, father and son, take her in? We'll get both her and our money, wouldn't that be better?"
Some of what the fat man said was true, and some was just his own conjecture. He had been thinking about Jiang Ruzhen ever since he saw her at the restaurant.
I went to the hotel front desk to ask, but they wouldn't say anything. I then tried to find out from other guests that she was there to buy goods and seemed to be from Liancheng.
He was determined to have her, and based on his own assumptions, he labeled Jiang Ruzhen a gold digger, actually because he was afraid his father would not approve of him making a move on her.
"Is everything you said true?" The shop owner was a little skeptical. His son was usually unreliable, and he didn't quite believe his son's so-called investigation.
"Of course," the fat man said decisively.
Hearing the two men describe her so badly, Jiang Ruzhen sensed something was wrong and quietly moved towards the door.
But she had only taken two steps when she found that more than a dozen people had suddenly appeared and completely blocked the entrance. Moreover, the young man leading them was the same young man who had brought her here on his bicycle earlier.
It turned out these people were all in cahoots; Jiang Ruzhen almost vomited.
She had no idea when, how, or how the shop owner had notified these people, and her heart skipped a beat.
Oh no, she seems to have underestimated this place.
This place probably really is a shady business; she needs to find a way to escape.
Seeing her changing expressions, the fat man smiled and grabbed Jiang Ruzhen's arm, comforting her.
"Little beauty, don't worry, we won't rob you or kill you. To tell you the truth, I've taken a liking to you. Aren't you only with that nouveau riche for his money?"
I'm richer than him. I have assets in Hangzhou, Hong Kong, and even overseas. If you follow me, you'll enjoy endless wealth and luxury.
Isn't it better than working harder to earn money yourself?
Jiang Ruzhen's eyes darted around, revealing a delighted expression. She climbed onto the fat man's arm and asked.
"Boss, are you serious or not? You're not trying to fool me, are you? I sell fifteen of these bracelets now, can you guarantee I'll get more in the future?"
The fat man laughed loudly, reaching out his chubby little hand to pinch Jiang Ruzhen's cheek, "Silly girl, my assets are worth hundreds of thousands, I don't care about your little thing."
"Why don't you serve me well today? If I'm in a good mood, I'll reward you with the things..."
"ah--"
Jiang Ruzhen was lifted into the air and carried on the shoulder of the fat man, who then turned and headed towards the rest room at the back.
Jiang Ruzhen struggled, punching and kicking, shouting, "You bastard, we haven't settled the terms yet, let me go..."
The fat man raised his chubby hand and slapped Jiang Ruzhen's buttocks. "You're only just starting to save your energy. You'll be crying later."
"Oh!"
The dozen or so henchmen at the door joined in the commotion, watching with envy as the fat man carried Jiang Ruzhen into the inner room.
The young man in the lead had lost his innocent look and replaced it with a lewd expression. He took a few steps forward and shouted.
"Boss, when you're done playing, could you let us brothers have some time to play too?"
"Get out of here! I've just found a woman I like, and you all want to take her away? Get out of here!"
"I'll wait until I'm tired of it after a month..."
"oh--"
The brothers were somewhat disappointed, but they still lingered outside, hoping to accidentally see or hear some inappropriate scenes or noises.
Watching the live version is much better than watching the short clips; it gives you a sense of being there, and it's really exciting.
The fat man carried Jiang Ruzhen into the inner room and threw her onto the bed. He ripped open his shirt, revealing his fat body, and pounced on Jiang Ruzhen.
"ah--"
The two screams merged into one, and gradually the male voice fell silent, while the female voice continued to scream.
The sound caused a commotion outside, and the brothers who were blocking the doorway became agitated.
"Damn, this woman's moans are so seductive. I wonder if her delicate skin can withstand the boss's torment."
"Tsk tsk tsk... Didn't you guys see how fair that woman's skin was? When she came into my shop, I felt like the whole shop was lit up."

The shop owner sat in his chair, listening with a smile to his men's discussion, but as he listened, he suddenly felt something was amiss.
According to his usual routine, his son would yell and say dirty jokes when he was excited, so why was there no sound at all inside?
But wouldn't going in now disturb his son's enjoyment?
Never mind, it's not like there haven't been times when the father and son worked together before.
He picked up the bag on the counter, turned around, and went inside to put the money away, while also checking out the two men's intense fight to see if he could join in.
"Boss, what are you doing? Are you going to have two heroes fight Diao Chan again?"
"Boss, could you talk to the junior manager and let us just stand by and watch?"
"That's right, that's right..."
The crowd started to jeer again, and the shop owner cursed, "You all have time to drink your soup, so shut up and don't let the people outside hear."
He carried the bag and pushed open the door to the inner room. When he saw the scene inside, he was stunned.
