Chapter 200 Rescue
Jiang Ruzhen took off running, before the special forces personnel could react.
Lu Mingzheng wanted to stop Jiang Ruzhen from taking the risk, but he knew Jiang Ruzhen's personality too well; when she was stubborn, nothing could change her mind.
He had no choice but to pull her along, trying to conceal their presence, and circle around behind the special forces personnel.
How could they not be anxious when they saw their comrades being surrounded?
Since Jiang Ruzhen took the initiative to bring them over to help, they certainly didn't hold back.
One of the soldiers picked up his gun and shot each enemy with perfect accuracy.
Another soldier went around to one side, creating chaos and taking the opportunity to kill more than a dozen bad guys.
Jiang Ruzhen stared in shock, never expecting that the people sent to protect her were all so capable.
Under the cover of the two men, the team inside quickly led their men to retreat, and the captain of the team looked particularly angry when he saw them.
He unleashed a torrent of anger on the two of them, "What's wrong with you two? In times of danger, you must protect the people and evacuate first. Don't you understand such a simple principle?"
Neither of them dared to offer any explanation and immediately admitted their mistakes.
Jiang Ruzhen couldn't stand it and explained on their behalf, "Captain, it was my fault for not listening to them. If you want to scold someone, scold me!"
Captain Zhang Tao glanced at her, then at Lu Mingzheng, and had no choice but to swallow his anger.
Asking him to curse the commander's wife? He's not that crazy.
I don't know what this leader was thinking, why he had to bring his wife here and risk his life? Was he playing the beacon fire game to amuse his beauty?
Although they all had some doubts, this was clearly not the time to discuss such things.
Jiang Ruzhen looked at Jiang Wen, who was surrounded and looked pale with fright. This kid was quite good; at least he wasn't screaming and unable to walk, thus delaying the special forces' retreat plan.
She pulled the person behind her to shield them, and whispered, "Xiaowen, how are you?"
Upon seeing Jiang Ruzhen, Jiang Wen suddenly had an outlet for his pent-up panic, and he excitedly wiped away tears. "Auntie, I...I'm alright."
Jiang Ruzhen knew that the child was really frightened, so she patted him on the shoulder and changed the subject.
“Your parents were very worried when they found out you were missing. They wanted to come and rescue you, but it was too dangerous here, so I didn’t let them come.”
"Yes." Jiang Wen nodded, his voice choked with emotion. "I'm sorry for making you worry."
well!
Jiang Ruzhen sighed inwardly. Jiang Wen was a really good kid. After experiencing so much, he could still stand in their shoes and reflect on his own mistakes.
It seems her trip to save him was worthwhile.
She glanced at the battle ahead; it was still a stalemate.
She then noticed that several special forces personnel were carrying bulging bags on their backs, which likely contained national treasures.
She asked Jiang Wen with some curiosity, "Did those soldiers bring out all of our country's treasures? Is that all?"
Jiang Wen shook his head, "Auntie, it's all my fault for being useless. I was so scared that I made a noise while they were moving things, and those bad guys found out. We didn't bring out many treasures."
Jiang Wen lowered his head in shame, looking extremely dejected.
Those are all national treasures, and he felt extremely unwilling to let those bad guys take them away like that.
After hearing this, Jiang Ruzhen's eyes darted around a few times. "What other treasures are inside?"
Jiang Wen shook his head. "I don't recognize most of them, but they look ancient. Also, there was a pile of stones in their warehouse that I don't know what they are."
Treasure? Stone?
Jiang Ruzhen turned around and carefully observed the battle situation ahead, and a plan came to her mind.
She tugged at Lu Mingzheng, who had also joined the fight, and said, "Lu Mingzheng, let's retreat first."
Lu Mingzheng exclaimed in confusion, not understanding what Jiang Ruzhen meant.
She was the one who risked her life to save people, and now that the fight is evenly matched, she's the one who wants to retreat.
However, seeing the cunning look in Jiang Ruzhen's eyes, he immediately knew that this woman was probably up to some dirty trick again.
Lu Mingzheng said a few words to Zhang Tao, then led Jiang Ruzhen and Jiang Wen to retreat.
The special forces personnel had no objections. They had been holding back their efforts to protect the two civilians, and if Lu Mingzheng could take them away first, it would lighten their burden.
Lu Mingzheng and Jiang Ruzhen retreated, while Jiang Wen, still unaware of what was happening, asked anxiously.
"Auntie, we can't leave first. We can't abandon those uncles and retreat alone. What if they're in danger?"
Jiang Ruzhen comforted him, saying that if they retreated first, those soldiers could break through the encirclement.
Jiang Wen was still not quite convinced and kept muttering to himself the whole way. Jiang Ruzhen gave Lu Mingzheng a wink.
Upon receiving the signal, Lu Mingzheng suddenly shouted, "Watch out!"
Jiang Wen hurriedly turned his head to look, and Lu Mingzheng knocked the man unconscious with a chop to the neck. He couldn't wait to look at Jiang Ruzhen.
"What brilliant idea have you come up with this time?"
Jiang Ruzhen gave Lu Mingzheng an affirming look, then suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand, before disappearing into the space.
Lu Mingzheng felt a blur before his eyes and found himself in another world.
Even though he had been inside twice, he still found this thing called space to be amazing.
He looked down and saw that Jiang Ruzhen had also brought in the unconscious Jiang Wen.
Looking again at the direction Jiang Ruzhen was manipulating the space, he asked in surprise.
"You're not planning to wipe out the enemy's base, are you?"
"So clever."
Jiang Ruzhen raised her hand and pinched Lu Mingzheng's cheek, but Lu Mingzheng became anxious.
"No. There are definitely still troops guarding inside. What if we rush in and get trapped?"
Jiang Ruzhen turned to look at him, her gaze suspicious. "You can't even handle a few petty thieves, can you?"
Lu Mingzheng laughed in exasperation, "I'm not worried about myself, I'm worried about your safety."
"Although I am not a soldier, I still have a patriotic heart. I am not willing to leave so many national treasures to those bad people to make money."
They're unlucky to have run into me today. I'm never one to suffer a loss. If they dare kidnap my people, I'll wipe out their entire hideout.
Jiang Ruzhen smiled at him, then turned and continued to manipulate space to head towards the enemy's lair.
As she went in and out more frequently, she found that her skills were becoming more and more proficient. She even unleashed her inner power and could travel at a speed of fifty meters or more in space.
Jiang Ruzhen raised her eyebrows, somewhat excited. She had been too busy with business to study the space before, but she never expected it to have such a wonderful use now.
If it were the middle of the night, and someone noticed her in the woods, they would definitely be terrified and cry out that they had encountered a ghost.
Jiang Ruzhen was like a vengeful ghost who could teleport, appearing here one moment and then flashing twenty meters away the next.
In the next second, it flashed to a distance of fifty meters, and in the next second, it appeared at a distance of sixty meters.
What might have taken others only a few seconds, Jiang Ruzhen had already reached the enemy's lair.
There were a few people on guard inside, but their attention was focused on the fighting outside.
Jiang Ruzhen sneaked into the warehouse right under their noses.
Wow!
Upon entering the warehouse, Jiang Ruzhen was stunned by the treasures before her, her mouth agape in disbelief.
