"What are you doing? Why are you arresting me? I just took sick leave and was sleeping at home. What did I do wrong?"
"Factory manager, that little courtyard was bought for me by my wife's family; it has nothing to do with me."

Hao Youde closed his eyes and, sure enough, the truth of what happened back then had been revealed. He knew it when he saw the Qin family kneeling there.

"I don't know what the factory director means. I told him everything I saw when Lao Shen and Lao Qin had that accident. Didn't you and the security department investigate it?"

Li Fen, who was being gagged, was extremely anxious. She struggled to get up and nodded repeatedly in the direction of Director Wu, indicating that Hao Youde was right and that the facts were as the investigation had shown back then.

Jiang Ruzhen remained calm. She was not surprised at all by Qin Lanlan's actions. The girl's selfish and self-serving personality was shaped by her upbringing.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have been so cruel in her past life. No matter how good their family was to her, she didn't care and even heartlessly harmed their whole family.
She raised her hand and slapped Qin Lanlan on the head. "And then, continue."
Qin Lanlan turned around and glared at Jiang Ruzhen, then, as if remembering something, she turned back to Jiang Ruzhen and spoke with a mocking smile.
"Jiang Ruzhen, do you know how tragically your husband died? He was being held tightly by my father, yet he struggled desperately, constantly begging my father for mercy, saying that he still had a wife and children to support and couldn't die."
