Chapter 23 Pervert
Being so close, Jiang Ruzhen was able to see the man's face clearly.
Beneath a pair of thick eyebrows, two distinctive phoenix eyes were smiling.
Long and delicate, with very sharp inner and outer corners of the eyes, yet giving people a noble and aloof feeling.
Honey-colored skin was exposed beneath the floral short-sleeved shirt, revealing strong, powerful muscles and bulging veins.
He looked like a strong and handsome man, but a roguish smile appeared on his lips.
"Oh! Getting angry now? You're not really the Flying Female Thief, are you?"
Screw you!
The fiery Jiang Ruzhen slapped him, but the man easily dodged it, continuing to verbally attack her.
"To kill him to silence him?"
Jiang Ruzhen's eyes were filled with anger, but Lu Mingzheng held her hands tightly, so she could only struggle silently.
At first, Lu Mingzheng watched Jiang Ruzhen struggle with a relaxed and cheerful smile, but after a while, his pupils gradually dilated and his expression became serious.
His chronic ailment, which had been injured for many years, was showing signs of recurring.
this......
Lu Mingzheng was utterly shocked, and for a moment his pupils became unfocused.
Jiang Ruzhen struggled for a long time but couldn't get up. She raised her eyes and glared fiercely at Lu Mingzheng.
But then she saw the man staring intently at her neckline. Jiang Ruzhen was furious. This lecherous man! If the timing hadn't been so bad, she would have wanted to kill him.
"You filthy scoundrel!"
Jiang Ruzhen gritted her teeth and cursed under her breath, then raised her leg and thrust it hard into the other person's groin.
"Damn it! The most poisonous heart is a woman's." Lu Mingzheng came to his senses and quickly flipped over to pin the man down.
"...Pervert!"
The disparity in strength between men and women meant Jiang Ruzhen was unable to move, so she could only mutter angry curses under her breath.
Although she was reborn more than thirty years younger, she was still a mother of four.
Her eldest son is already twenty-two years old, and she may become a grandmother in another year or two.
The man in front of her looked to be only in his thirties, yet he was acting like a scoundrel towards her, a middle-aged woman in her forties.
They're not picky eaters at all; their tastes are quite strong.
"Are you a bomb, ready to ignite at any moment?" Lu Mingzheng glanced down below, still shaken, and retorted.
The man was handsome, but he had a foul mouth, speaking in a sarcastic and mean way. Jiang Ruzhen rolled her eyes at him rather inelegantly.
In Lu Mingzheng's eyes, however, he found that the fair-skinned and beautiful Jiang Ruzhen was charming in every smile and frown, and her angry eye-rolling gesture successfully made his blood boil.
The woman in front of him seemed to have just taken a bath, her whole body exuding a fresh fragrance, even the strands of hair fluttering in front of her forehead carried an alluring rose scent.
He had never smelled such a special scent before, completely different from the soaps people use now, which made him somewhat distracted.
He hadn't felt this uniquely masculine feeling in over eight years.
"Let me go, and I can leave right away." Jiang Ruzhen thought Lu Mingzheng was from this village, and she didn't want to cause trouble for her family, so she had no choice but to back down.
"Leave? Didn't you come to see your relatives?" Lu Mingzheng gestured with his chin towards the cowshed below.
Jiang Ruzhen carefully observed Lu Mingzheng's expression and saw that he did not seem angry. With a woman's intuition, she sensed that this man did not seem to have any ill intentions towards her.
"What do you mean?"
"I can let you go, but don't shout, or you'll attract the wolves."
Lu Mingzheng's intention was to remind Jiang Ruzhen to be careful and not to make any noise that would attract the attention of the villagers, otherwise none of them would be able to see their relatives.
But to Jiang Ruzhen, it took on a completely different meaning.
Was this man doing this on purpose? Does he even know how to use words like that?
She's a vengeful woman; after she sees her parents, she'll definitely teach them a lesson they'll never forget.
Jiang Ruzhen nodded, and Lu Mingzheng reluctantly let go of her hand.
Jiang Ruzhen got up and started walking back. By then, it was completely dark. She decided to hide herself and wait for the man to leave before coming out.
"Are you directionally challenged? This way."
Lu Mingzheng quickly walked ahead to clear the way for Jiang Ruzhen, leading her through many twists and turns to the foot of the mountain. Jiang Ruzhen was filled with doubt and uncertainty.
What does this man do for a living? Could it be...?
"Are you here to visit those who have been sent down to the countryside as well?" Jiang Ruzhen asked, puzzled.
"No, I came here to see the stars in this deep mountain forest," Lu Mingzheng replied casually.
Jiang Ruzhen breathed a sigh of relief upon confirming that they were traveling the same route.
However, looking at the figure in front of her, Jiang Ruzhen really wanted to kick him down.
Why would he come and scare her when she was hiding peacefully in the woods?
Doesn't this mean he has a serious illness?
Led by Lu Mingzheng, the two quickly made their way to the vicinity of the cowshed.
"Whose house are you looking for? I frequent this area, I can give you directions."
Just as Jiang Ruzhen was standing there looking at several similar cowsheds, feeling somewhat troubled, Lu Mingzheng leaned close to her ear and whispered something to her.
In the quiet of the night, his hot breath swirled around her ear, instantly raising goosebumps on the back of Jiang Ruzhen's neck.
"I'm looking for the Jiang family who were sent down from Yangcheng. Do you know them?" Jiang Ruzhen asked, feigning composure.
Lu Mingzheng pointed to the house furthest to the side, and Jiang Ruzhen immediately went over anxiously, worried about her parents' health.
Watching Jiang Ruzhen's anxious back, Lu Mingzheng shook his head helplessly. This woman is really thick-skinned. She really believes that he won't report her.
Jiang Ruzhen crept into the cowshed in the dark. She heard the sound of water inside and opened her eyes wide to finally see two blurry figures taking care of the person lying on the wooden board with wet towels.
She excitedly took a step forward, and with a soft "plop," she stepped on something.
"who?"
The person sitting in the darkness asked a question alertly, and upon hearing the voice, Jiang Ruzhen immediately burst into tears.
"Big brother, it's me, it's Ruzhen!"
The two people opposite them were stunned for a moment, then stood up excitedly and whispered, "Girl!"
"It's me, eldest brother! Second brother! I missed you so much..." Jiang Ruzhen rushed over, hugging her eldest and second brothers' necks and sobbing.
At home, she is the undisputed and strong mother who holds the world together, but here, she is still the beloved little princess.
After so many years, she finally saw her relatives. She felt bitter and heartbroken, as if she had unspeakable grievances.
"Why are you here? Did anyone see you?" The eldest brother, Jiang Zhengyu, touched Jiang Ruzhen's head, his eyes reddening.
"Yeah, girl, you could have just wired some money over, why risk your life?" The second brother was a little angry and wanted to slap Jiang Ruzhen's back a few times, but when he did, the force was as light as a breeze.
“You are suffering here, and your parents and niece are sick. How can I not come to see you?”
Jiang Ruzhen wiped away her tears, straightened her back, and regained her strong and indomitable spirit.
"I'll talk to you guys first, I need to check on my parents and niece."
Jiang Ruzhen came to the wooden bed and looked at the two elderly people who were sleeping soundly. It was the last time she saw them, they were both radiant and full of energy.
Now, however, their hair was completely white and they looked haggard. Jiang Ruzhen suppressed her grief and stepped forward to touch their foreheads.
It was indeed scalding hot, so she quickly pretended to pull a packet of medicine from her pocket and turned around.
"Brother, pour me a glass of water. I brought medicine with me. Please give it to Mom, Dad, and my niece quickly."
Jiang Zhengyu was overjoyed to hear this. Right now, what they needed most was medicine. In this poor and remote place, they were already struggling to survive, let alone get medicine.
"Coming, coming." Jiang Zhengyu quickly fumbled in the dark to grab a cup and handed it to Jiang Ruzhen.
Before Jiang Ruzhen could turn around, she had already replaced the plain water inside with spiritual spring water from her spatial dimension. After feeding the medicine to her parents and niece, she finally breathed a long sigh of relief.
"Don't worry, this is the best medicine I bought from the best hospital in Jilin City. It will take effect in about half an hour."
"Mom and Dad, and Xiaomin, have mild symptoms; they'll definitely be fully recovered by tomorrow."
The older brother nodded repeatedly, and the dark clouds that had been hanging over his heart for days finally dissipated.
The second brother, Jiang Zhengxiao, also let out a long sigh of relief, and then asked the eldest brother with some resentment.
"Brother, didn't we agree not to tell the girl about our situation? Why did you tell everyone?"
