Chapter 80 Big Black and Little White

Mu Huaixi was not guessing randomly. She didn't have much interaction with Dahei. The only time she received Dahei's "favor" was when she rescued someone and applied medicine last time. This was probably the only thing that made it run out of the mountains to find her.

"Mee~~~~"

Dahei let out a long cry, turned around and led the way up the mountain.

"This big black sheep is really amazing," Wang Xiaohua's eyes lit up with excitement. She had only heard that this black sheep was very human-like before, but now she found it even more amazing. When a friend was sick, he knew to go to the doctor. This was not just being very human-like, it was almost able to speak!

"Hey, Mu... Boss! It even knew to lead us to a flatter place!" Wang Xiaohua exclaimed in amazement after following Dahei for a while. "It could have jumped straight up to that place just now, but it still led us around here!"

Mu Huaixi also felt that Dahei was considerate, but it was almost time to get off work. The two of them followed it for a long time without seeing it stop, and it was getting dark.

She took out a small flashlight from her pocket, but the light was blocked by the night fog rising from the forest, and the twilight outside the halo made her even more uneasy.

Wang Xiaohua lost her excitement. She pounded her sore calves twice and said, "Dahei, Daheihei, how far do we have to go? Where are we going?"

Dahei turned around and bleated again, then led them further upwards, finally stopping in front of a dense bush.

"Mee~~~"

Dahei shouted into the bushes, and the same painful cries came from inside.

Mu Huaixi pulled aside the bushes, thinking he would see another goat, but unexpectedly he saw a deer, a white deer at that!

However, the condition of this white deer was not very good. One of its hind legs was bitten by a sharp trap, and the blood that overflowed had stained its white fur. There were also many scars on its body, which looked like they were caused by fleeing in a hurry.

The white deer was hiding in the bushes and had been shaking since it saw them. It was unclear whether it was because it was exhausted and couldn't escape, or because Dahei had greeted it, but it was just shaking with fear. Its pink eyes were wet as it looked at the two of them, full of pleading.

"Its eyes are so beautiful," Wang Xiaohua lowered her voice, fearing that she would scare the white deer away. She became excited again. It was indeed a wise choice to follow Boss Mu up the mountain. Otherwise, how could she see the white deer!

Mu Huaixi found some small weeds near the white deer's mouth. It seemed that Dahei had already brought some herbs to his friend. However, the trouble the little deer encountered could not be solved by just the hemostatic grass, so it went down the mountain to look for him.

"You are really smart." Mu Huaixi touched the head of the big black deer that came closer. She could clearly feel that the white deer's vigilance had dropped. She didn't care whether the other party could understand her or not. She pulled the big black deer and introduced herself to the white deer. "I am its friend, and also your friend. We are here to help you."

"Yes, we're here to help you," Wang Xiaohua said, then looked at the trap and felt puzzled. "How do I open it?"

The trap was very tight. Mu Huaixi shone a flashlight on it and found that it seemed to be coated with something. He leaned in closer and smelled it, and there was indeed a fishy smell.

"Why poison it?" Wang Xiaohua was indignant. She wanted to let her know who set traps in the mountains and hurt such a cute white deer. She would definitely not forgive that person!

Mu Huaixi didn't think so. The people who set the trap must be the mountain people, and the law of the jungle is also the law of nature. However, with such a beautiful white deer in front of her, she couldn't bear to let it be caught.

"You can't just pry the clamp open, it might hurt your hand," Mu Huaixi thought for a moment, and asked Wang Xiaohua to pick up some branches and stones nearby, while he took off his white coat and wrapped it around his hands.

"I'll open the trap later, and you can stuff branches and stones between the teeth," Mu Huaixi discussed with Wang Xiaohua, and then started to open the trap.

The owner of the trap had obviously put in a lot of effort, and the bite force of the trap was astonishingly strong. Mu Huaixi was sweating profusely before he could barely open the trap to a gap.

Wang Xiaohua seized the opportunity and quickly stuffed a stone into the gap, but the withdrawal of the hunting clamp teeth obviously caused another injury to the white deer. It trembled and cried, and big tears rolled out of its pink eyes.

"Oh, what should I do?" Wang Xiaohua was so anxious that she was about to cry, and her hands were shaking a little. It was really heartbreaking to see the white deer crying so hard.

"Don't panic!"

"The faster we dismantle it, the less damage it will suffer. Otherwise, it will be in more pain!"

Mu Huaixi's words gave Wang Xiaohua confidence. Without even having time to wipe away her tears, she quickened her pace to stuff stones and wooden strips into the clamp, and even found a thick branch to help pry it open.

The white deer's hind legs began to bleed again, and it cried miserably, causing the big black deer next to it to scratch its hooves. However, it seemed to understand that the person in front of it was trying to save it, and it did not move no matter how much pain or bleeding it was in.

Mu Huaixi gritted his teeth and worked with Wang Xiaohua to finally open the hunting trap wide enough. The white deer neighed and pulled out its trembling legs. It struggled to stand up, but fell to the ground.

“Mee!”

"Don't be anxious," Mu Huaixi heard the anxiety in Dahei's cry. She tore off the blood-stained white coat from her arm, took out the medicine powder and poured it on Bailu's wound. Xiaohua prepared a bandage and waited for her to apply the medicine before wrapping it around its calf.

Xiaohua bandaged the deer very carefully, using all the two rolls of bandages in her pocket on the deer. She even wiped its body with her handkerchief with pity, "Such a cute deer, how could anyone be willing to hurt it!"

Mu Huaixi saw the deer still hanging its head. She carefully touched it and felt its weakness. Perhaps it was from excessive blood loss, or perhaps the poison in the trap had taken its toll. After all, she was not a professional veterinarian. She could only judge from the white tip of the deer's nose that it was currently lacking blood and needed further treatment.

She discussed it with Xiaohua, found two branches to tie the white coat to, and planned to use this simple stretcher to carry the deer back.

It was said that Dahei had become a spirit. It actually understood what Mu Huaixi said. It dug out a ball of wild yam from somewhere, held it in its mouth and spit it at her feet.

The night on the mountain was so dark that Mu Huaixi didn't recognize at first glance that what she was laying on her feet was actually wild yam. She picked it up and smiled at Dahei, explaining it to him as if she were explaining something to a patient's family, "The white deer can't eat it while it's unconscious. I'll tell it when it wakes up. Now I'm going to take it down the mountain."

Big Black bleated twice and made way.

"It's truly amazing," Wang Xiaohua said as she secretly petted the white deer and praised Dahei. Suddenly, she looked at the two animals, one black and one white, and said, "Hey, do you think they might be a couple?"

Mu Huaixi was speechless. How could a sheep and a deer be a pair? She tightened the knot on the branch and stuffed the flashlight inside. "Let's go, let's get down the mountain quickly!"
