"Everyone, look at me. I have something to announce!" Mou Xuan stood in front of a modified Dongfeng Warrior armored vehicle and cleared his throat. His voice spread throughout the base square through the vehicle's loudspeaker. "Our base is now in a state of panic because we have a mine at home!"
He paused and looked at the team assembled in front of him.
The one standing at the front is a high energy expert. He is holding a "thermos bottle" that is taller than him. It is said to be the latest portable energy analyzer. At this moment, he has a proud expression on his face, as if to say "How can this thing work without me?"
Next to Expert Gao is Explorer Lin.
This guy is covered with all kinds of adventure equipment, including ropes, hooks, flares... he is like a "human Christmas tree".
He was rubbing his hands together, eager to try, as if he was not going to explore energy, but to go to Jurassic Park to wrestle with the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

There was no conversation along the way, only the roar of the engine and the rustling sound of the tires rolling over the gravel.
Expert Gao kept chattering on and on about his various "brilliant ideas" on new energy, from atomic structure to quantum entanglement, from the Big Bang to black hole swallowing... Explorer Lin rolled his eyes and wished he could seal his mouth with tape.
Finally, after several hours of bumpy ride, they arrived near the energy mine.
"Stop the car!" Mou Xuan ordered.
The armored vehicle slowly stopped, raising a cloud of dust.
Through the car window, you can see a huge mine not far away, surrounded by high walls and barbed wire. Several uniformed guards are standing at the entrance. They have guns on their waists and are watching the armored vehicle that suddenly appeared vigilantly.
"These guys are quite vigilant." Explorer Lin muttered.
“They are Guard Zhu,” Shen Yao said softly, with a hint of solemnity in her tone.
"Guard Zhu?" Mou Xuan frowned slightly, "Who is he?"
"They were the private armed forces of a large energy company before the apocalypse. After the apocalypse, they occupied this mine and became the actual controllers here. These people are not easy to deal with." Chen Yao explained.
"No matter who he is, we can't let him block our way!" Explorer Lin said as he was about to get out of the car.
"Wait!" Mou Xuan grabbed him and said, "Don't be impulsive. Let's use courtesy first and then force."
Mou Xuan opened the car door and walked down. Chen Yao followed closely behind.
Expert Gao also got out of the car holding his "thermos bottle" and followed behind with a reluctant look on his face.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" When Guard Zhu saw them, he immediately raised his gun and shouted.
"Don't be nervous, don't be nervous," Mou Xuan raised his hands to indicate that he had no ill intentions. "We are here to explore new energy sources. We have no ill intentions."
"Exploring new energy sources?" Guard Zhu sneered, "This is our territory. Outsiders are not welcome here. Get out of here!"
"Brother, don't say that," Mou Xuan still kept smiling, "We are all trying to survive, why bother? Why don't we cooperate and benefit each other?"
"Stop talking nonsense. If you don't leave, don't blame us for being rude!" Guard Zhu said as he pulled the bolt of the gun. The sound of the bullet being loaded could be clearly heard.
"Hey, why are you so unreasonable?" Explorer Lin couldn't help it, rolled up his sleeves and was about to step forward to argue.
"Old Lin!" Mou Xuan shouted in a low voice, stopping him.
"Expert Gao," Mou Xuan turned to Expert Gao and said, "Show them your skills and open their eyes."
Expert Gao was immediately excited when he heard this. He put down the "thermos bottle" and took out a palm-sized metal box from it. He said proudly, "This is the latest 'energy detector' developed by our alliance. It can detect all energy fluctuations within a radius of 100 miles. Isn't it amazing?"
As he spoke, he pressed a button on the metal box, and the box immediately made a buzzing sound and the indicator light on it began to flash.
When the Zhu guards saw this thing, they were stunned for a moment. They looked at each other with puzzled expressions in their eyes.
"How is it? Are you enlightened?" Expert Gao said proudly, "This is high-tech, have you seen it?"
The Zhu guards looked at each other and were somewhat shaken.
