"Boss! It's bad! Something...something happened!" The messenger panted, staggered to a stop, and the words came out of his mouth like dice in a shaking cup.
The festive mood, full of hope for a bright future, dissipated like morning mist.
Just now, the alliance members were very excited and looking forward to the possibilities brought by the special materials.
The air was filled with their ambitious plans - new technology, elite soldiers, a future full of power and security.
Mou Xuan was immersed in the joy of their shared victory, but he felt a cold tightening in his stomach.
he demanded, his voice sharp and his joy replaced by steely calm.
His hand instinctively grasped Shen Yao's, her warm touch acting like a small anchor in the sudden storm.
He saw her
"I...we detected a...a strange signal..." the messenger stammered, his face pale and sweaty.
An uneasy silence fell, broken only by the hum of distant generators and the Courier's racing heartbeat.
Mou Xuan's brain, always calculating and planning like a whirlwind, now entered an overspeed state.
"Defender Lou," he shouted, his voice cutting through the tense atmosphere like a blade, "Organize a defense immediately!" He squeezed Shen Yao's hand comfortingly, then turned his attention to the unfolding crisis.
Seeing their leader take decisive action, a sense of confidence spread among the alliance members.
Fear still lurked in their bellies like a cold, wriggling snake, but Mou Xuan's unwavering determination was like a powerful antidote.
They thought, this guy, he can do it.
The strange signal quickly turned into a very real and unwelcome threat.
It was the Zhong forces that made a comeback after suffering a previous defeat, and this time they brought helpers with them.
Like a pack of hyenas attracted to the smell of blood, several small factions united with them to form a somewhat disorganized but powerful army.
The leader of the Zhong faction, a haughty, brute with a face like a crumpled napkin, swaggered to the front line, shouting insults and threats.
"Mou Xuan!" he roared, his voice echoing in the no-man's land between the two armies.
"You thought you could hide behind all that fancy stuff, didn't you? We're back, and this time we're taking it all!"
Mou Xuan took a step forward, his eyes cold and determined.
"That's a lot of words for someone who has tasted defeat," he retorted, his voice full of cold contempt.
"This is not a playground, Zhong. This is the burial place of your ambitions." His calm confidence, like a shining beacon in the storm, inspired the members of the alliance.
A murmur of admiration spread through their ranks.
Their leader is not only a strategist, but also a force of nature.
The first round of attacks was brutal.
The enemy, blinded by resentment and greed, launched a fierce attack.
Lou Defender and his team fought valiantly, and their defense withstood the initial attack.
But the sheer number of attackers is starting to take its toll.
Ke Technician cursed as he frantically tried to put his newly acquired technology to use.
The equipment is still in the calibration stage after being hastily deployed to protect special materials and is not ready for combat.
Just when the situation began to become critical, Mou Xuan took action.
In a flash, he disappeared.
One moment he was standing fearlessly on the front lines, the next he was a ghost, a whisper on the wind.
The enemy was completely caught off guard and suddenly felt a chill.
Then, their rear troops fell into chaos.
Cries of surprise and alarm mingled with the sounds of metal colliding and bodies falling to the ground.
Mou Xuan was like a controlled whirlwind of anger, cutting a bloody path through their ranks, disrupting their attacks and creating chaos...
"He's...?" Intelligence Officer Su said softly, his eyes full of disbelief.
"He's... buying us time," Shen Yao replied, her voice barely audible, her eyes fixed on the chaotic battle behind the enemy lines.
A slight smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
"Concentrate your firepower! Kill Mou Xuan!" The leader of the Zhong faction, the guy with a face as wrinkled as a Shar-Pei dog, roared at the top of his lungs, his saliva spraying far away like a broken fountain.
His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Mou Xuan who was moving swiftly in the crowd, and he wished he could eat him alive.
This guy knew very well that as long as he killed Mou Xuan, the alliance would be in disarray and he could do whatever he wanted.
The enemy's tactical adjustment was like a shot of chicken blood to a pack of hungry wolves, making them even crazier in an instant.
The firepower, which was originally scattered, suddenly rushed towards Mou Xuan like iron filings attracted by a magnet.
Bullets, energy beams, and even people threw stones... In short, everything that could be thrown was thrown at Mou Xuan. It was like the apocalyptic version of the "Water Splashing Festival", except that what was thrown was not water, but things that could take lives.
Mou Xuan suddenly felt under tremendous pressure.
He was like sailing a small boat in a stormy sea, and could be swallowed up by the waves at any time.
Although his time ability is amazing, it is not omnipotent. Every dodge requires a lot of mental energy.
It’s like playing games. No matter how cool your skills are, they still need the support of the blue bar!
But he is not the kind of person who gives up easily.
He gritted his teeth and relied on his superb fighting skills and calm judgment to shuttle through the hail of bullets again and again.
