Hunter Zhong pulled out a bunch of vacuum-packed beef jerky and energy bars from his bulging backpack. The familiar aroma instantly filled the air, causing everyone to cheer.
"Old Zhong, you are such a treasure boy!" Explorer Ben grabbed a handful of beef jerky without hesitation and started chewing it. "This tastes amazing!"
"That's a must. This is a must-have for me to survive in the apocalypse." Hunter Zhong raised his eyebrows proudly, and took out a few bottles of water from his bag and distributed them to everyone, "Come on, replenish your energy so we can continue working later!"
Everybody sat together, eating and joking with each other. Navigator Fu even imitated what the explorer had done just now and gnawed on beef jerky in an exaggerated manner, which made everyone laugh. The short break eased the tense atmosphere a lot, and a warm atmosphere flowed among the team members.
Suddenly, a "whoosh whoosh whoosh" sound was heard in the ruins, breaking the brief silence. Countless sharp arrows shot out from the small holes in the wall, with a sharp sound of breaking through the air, and rushed straight towards the crowd.
