After leaving the ruins, the expedition team headed towards the abandoned city marked on the map based on the clues they had obtained.
From afar, the city's outline looked particularly dilapidated under the gloomy sky, like a crawling giant beast, silently telling the cruelty of the end of the world.
An invisible pressure enveloped the crowd. Everyone was on edge and the air was filled with tension, like a fully drawn bowstring that could break at any time.
After entering the city, the scene before us was even more shocking.
The once bustling streets are now in ruins, with broken walls and collapsed buildings everywhere, as if they had experienced a catastrophe.
The road was bumpy and full of gravel, and vehicles were scattered all over the roadside like piles of twisted metal skeletons.
The air was filled with a sickening smell of dust and decay.
"This road is too difficult to travel on. It's even more dilapidated than my grandma's old house." Navigator Fu complained while trying to decipher the map.
He carefully avoided obstacles on the ground, fearing that he would twist his ankle accidentally.
"Okay, stop complaining and lead the way." Hunter Zhong said impatiently, "I don't want to stay in this damn place for even a second."
"This... the route on this map seems to be... blocked..." Navigator Fu pointed to the route covered by building debris on the map, his voice trembling, "We... we may have to take a detour..."
"Take a detour?" Explorer Ban frowned. "Take a detour will take a lot more time, and who knows if it will be more dangerous?"
"Then...what should we do?" Navigator Fu's voice became even lower and almost inaudible.
The team members fell into silence, and the atmosphere became even more depressing.

"Be alert!" Mou Xuan shouted in a low voice, holding the weapon tightly in his hand and scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes.
The team members also became more vigilant and moved forward cautiously, not daring to make any noise.
Suddenly, the explorer stopped beside a collapsed building. He pointed to a corner covered by rubble and said excitedly, "There... seems... seems to be a passage!"
Everyone gathered around and busily cleared the rubble.
As the rubble was cleared, a pitch-black cave entrance gradually appeared. A cold and damp breath gushed out of the cave, making people shudder.
"Holy crap! There really is a passage!" Hunter Zhong widened his eyes and shouted excitedly, "There must be good stuff in there!"
"Maybe it's some treasure!" Navigator Fu rubbed his hands excitedly, with greed flashing in his eyes.
"Don't be too happy yet," Mu Xuan reminded, "It may be more dangerous in the passage, everyone should be careful."
"Don't worry, Brother Xuan, we all understand!" the team members responded in unison.
The expedition team entered the passage cautiously. In the darkness, only the flickering beam of the flashlight was illuminating a small area ahead.
The passage was silent except for the sound of people breathing and footsteps. The atmosphere was tense and weird.
After walking for a distance, the passage suddenly opened up and a huge underground space appeared in front of everyone.
In the center of the space, a glittering object attracted everyone's attention.
"What is that?" Mechanic Li pointed at the glowing object, his tone full of curiosity.
"We'll know if we go over and take a look." The explorer walked over impatiently and stretched out his hand to touch the glowing object...
"Don't move!" Mou Xuan suddenly shouted.
Before the explorer's hand touched the thing, Mou Xuan felt a chill on his spine and a strong sense of crisis surged in his heart.
With a whoosh, a laser beam shot out from the glowing object, brushing past Explorer Ban's arm, and a burning smell instantly spread.
"Shit! This thing is electrified! I almost got cooked!" The explorer sat down on the ground in shock.
On the walls on both sides of the passage, more laser transmitters lit up, and red spots of light flickered in the darkness, like the cold gaze of the god of death.
