Engineer Lin rushed over and was also shocked to see the damaged steel.
"Mr. Mou, this... there is a problem with the quality of this batch of steel!" Mou Xuan's face was gloomy. He didn't say anything, but took out his mobile phone and made a call.
"Hello, is this Manager Wang? I found that part of the steel I ordered is damaged. Please replace it immediately, and quickly!"
After replacing the inferior steel, Mou Xuan decided to personally supervise the progress of the project.
The construction of the safe house was of vital importance to him and no mistakes could be allowed to happen.
He put on a safety helmet and patrolled the construction site, his sharp eyes scanning every corner.
The sun was shining brightly, cicadas were chirping, and dust was flying on the construction site.
Mou Xuan saw a worker dozing off in a corner, with “Yang Jian” written on his name tag.
He strode over, the anger in his heart about to erupt like a volcano.
"What are you doing here?" Mou Xuan's voice was as cold as the north wind in the cold winter.
Yang Jian was frightened and quickly stood up, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Mr. Mou...Mr. Mou, I...I..." He stammered and couldn't say a complete sentence for a long time.
"You're not working hard and are just sleeping here. Do you still want your salary this month?" Mou Xuan said in a stern tone, his eyes as sharp as a knife.
Yang Jian was so frightened that his face turned pale. "Boss Mou, I...I didn't mean it. I...I feel a little uncomfortable..."
At this time, Luo Bao, the foreman, also came over and said to Mou Xuan with an unhappy look on his face: "Boss Mou, you are too harsh, aren't you? It's so hot, what's wrong with the workers taking a break? If you force all the workers to leave, how can the project go on?"
Mou Xuan took a deep breath, suppressed the anger in his heart, and stared coldly at Luo the foreman: "Luo, the contract clearly states when to rest and when to work. You can't have forgotten it, right?"
Luo the foreman's eyes flickered, with a hint of cunning in them, "Boss Mou, this contract is dead, but people are alive! Make some adjustments, it will be convenient for everyone..."
Mou Xuan sneered, his tone as cold as ice, "Foreman Luo, I think you don't want to do this anymore..." He paused and glanced at the workers around him, "What about you? Do you want to go with him too?"
The workers looked at each other, and no one dared to speak first.
Seeing this, Luo, the foreman, cursed these cowards in his heart, and could only bite the bullet and say, "Boss Mou, what do you mean by this? Are you trying to kill a chicken to scare the monkeys?"
Mou Xuan raised his lips with a sneer, "Killing a chicken to scare the monkey? Foreman Luo, you take yourself too seriously. I just want to tell you that rules are rules and no one can break them. I offer you twice the wages on the market, not to let you come here to slack off." He paused, his tone heavier, "I can forgive what happened today, but I won't do it again. If I find someone slacking off again, don't blame me for being rude!"
After saying that, Mou Xuan turned and left, leaving Luo the foreman and a group of workers looking at each other in an awkward and solemn atmosphere.
Returning to the office, Mou Xuan felt tired.
He knew that if the problem of workers' passive resistance was not resolved, the construction progress of the safe house would be seriously affected.
He rubbed his temples and felt the pressure as heavy as a mountain.
Time is running out, and he must come up with a way to motivate these workers and get them to actively participate in their work.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind.
He picked up the phone and dialed a number: "Hello, is this Manager Li? I need a batch of new building materials. The quality must be the best. Price is not a problem..."
The next morning, Mou Xuan appeared at the construction site again.
Instead of making his usual rounds, he walked straight to a pile of building materials, picked up a shovel, and started working.
"Mr. Mou, what are you doing..." Contractor Luo looked at Mou Xuan in confusion.
"What? Can't I work?" Mou Xuan replied without raising his head.
Yang Jian and other workers also gathered around and looked at Mou Xuan curiously.
They don't understand why a boss would do such rough work himself.
Mou Xuan ignored their doubts and continued to work hard.
He shoveled soil, moved bricks, and built walls with his movements skillfully and efficiently, like an experienced old worker.
Sweat soaked his clothes, but he showed no intention of stopping.
"This..." Luo the foreman, Yang Jian and others looked at each other in disbelief.
"Captain Luo, look how hard Mr. Mou works, how can we afford to be lazy?" a young worker whispered.
Foreman Luo's face darkened and he cursed in his heart: This kid really knows how to play!
He walked up to Mou Xuan and said awkwardly, "Boss Mou, what are you doing? Let us do this rough work."
Mou Xuan stopped what he was doing, wiped the sweat off his forehead, looked at Luo the foreman, and smiled slightly: "Luo the foreman, I remember that you were a good worker before..."
"Foreman Luo, you used to be a good worker, how come you have learned to be sneaky and cunning now?" Mou Xuan's lips curled up for a meaningful smile, which made Foreman Luo blush and scratch his head embarrassedly.
Mou Xuan turned around and pointed at the wall that Yang Jian had just built. His tone was calm but full of unquestionable majesty: "Yang Jian, come and take a look. Is this wall built so that it can grow legs and run away?"
Yang Jian came over with an unconvinced look on his face, and when he saw where Mou Xuan was pointing, he was suddenly speechless.
I saw that the wall was uneven and the gaps between bricks were of different sizes. It was simply a shoddy construction.
