"Hurry up and change your clothes."
Zhuye closed the door and started to find clothes for Qiuyue from the cage.
She dressed Qiuyue, washed her hair and wiped it with a soft towel.
It was the first time that Qiuyue was served like this. She felt a little embarrassed, but what she felt most was warmth.
"Sister Zhuye, thank you!"
Zhuye reached out and tapped her forehead, "Silly girl, why are you and I sisters still being polite?"
She held Qiuyue's hand, sat by the brazier, and told stories about her childhood.
"You know, my family was actually quite wealthy when I was little. My father was a wealthy businessman, and I had a loving father and mother, as well as a grandmother. Unfortunately, everything changed when I was five." At this point, Zhuye's mood darkened. She sniffed and continued, "That year, my father somehow offended a powerful figure, and all 100 people in my family died overnight. My mother put me in a dog hole and told me not to make a sound, but she ran out and lured the bad guys away."
"That bearded man stabbed my mother with such a long sword," Zhuye said, gesturing. "He stabbed her again and again. I counted carefully and found that my mother was stabbed fifteen times in total. She died of the pain."
"I wanted to run away, but my mother kept staring at me. Her eyes told me not to come out and to live well."
"I covered my mouth. I felt very sad and wanted to cry, but I didn't dare to. I didn't know when I fainted."
"My father took his last breath and pretended to be dead to deceive those people. After they left, he picked me up and staggered to my uncle's house. He sent me home and gave my uncle a pile of banknotes, and then he couldn't hold on any longer."
"My uncle was born in the countryside and was an honest and decent man. But my aunt was not like that. She would either scold me or my uncle all day long. When I was eight years old, I couldn't bear to see my uncle being scolded every day by my aunt, so I left a letter and left."
"What happened next?" Qiuyue asked.
