Gu Yunran was stunned for a moment, her face pale. She pointed at herself and said, "I stole it?"
Caixuan also said with a cold face: "You are the only one with our princess. If not you, who else could it be?"
Princess Pingyang patted it and wiped her tears, "If it was just an ordinary jade pendant, I wouldn't have looked for it, but this is the one my father left for me."
"Princess, don't worry. Anything lost in our Mu Mansion will be found for you." Nanny Li comforted Princess Pingyang, then looked at Gu Yunran and snorted coldly, "We'll know if you stole it after searching."
"Yes, search her!"

"Don't leave!"

Princess Pingyang winked at Caixuan, the maid beside her, and said, "Go and call Master Mu."
She wanted to let Brother Qianchen see how embarrassing Gu Yunran was.
Caixuan turned around and went out to find Mu Qianchen, and Mu Qianchen also got the news and was rushing here.

I wonder if it was because Gu Yunran dared to steal in the Mu Mansion, or because he was afraid that the princess would be sad if she lost the jade pendant?
"Search for me!"
Nanny Li ordered two servants to come in, clamp Gu Yunran's hands, and asked the maid to search Gu Yunran's body. The maid was about to start.
There was a commotion outside.
"Master Mu is here."
The women surrounding the side hall automatically made way for Mu Qianchen to come in. A servant hurriedly moved a chair behind Mu Qianchen and wiped off the non-existent dust with his sleeve.
"Master Mu, please sit down!"
The servant was very respectful.
Mu Qianchen sat on the armchair, his slender jade hand leaning on the armrest, supporting his handsome, sculptured chin, and asked, "What's going on?"
Nanny Li explained the whole story.
Princess Pingyang said sympathetically, "Brother Qianchen, that jade pendant is a relic left to me by my father. It means a lot to me. Although we were the only two here at the time, maybe it wasn't stolen by Madam Lu. Let's forget it."
Gu Yunran looked at Mu Qianchen. He had changed into another set of clothes. Could it be that he changed into another set because his clothes got dirty after being with Lu Jiajia?

Princess Pingyang looked at the jade pendant that was similar in color to her own and said without hesitation, "Brother Qianchen, this is exactly it."
The crowd outside was instantly excited.
"Oh my, Madam Lu actually stole the princess's jade pendant?"
Someone wondered, "That's not the case. The Lu family wouldn't be so poor that the mistress would have to steal jade pendants to survive."
"Of course not." Someone in the know scoffed. "Lu Qingzhou is from the countryside and has no real skills. Everyone in the mansion wants to keep up with the wealthy families in Shengjing, and extravagance is the norm. It's hard for Madam Lu to manage the household. She must have run out of options, so she's set her sights on Princess Pingyang's jade pendant."
In the crowd, Lu Qingzhou had a gloomy face. When he was on duty, he was laughed at by the officials around him. Now these women in the inner palace were laughing at him in front of him.
"Gu Yunran!"
Lu Qingzhou rushed out of the crowd with his fists clenched, and slapped Gu Yunran, "Shameless thing, stealing from Princess Pingyang!"
