Gu Qianluo scanned her surroundings and suddenly noticed a large cave covered by grass not far away.
"Since that's the case, we have no choice but to go all out!"
She casually took out a smoke grenade she was carrying, flung it into the air, and threw it into the bushes thirty meters away.
"She's there! Quick! Go and grab her! Don't let her get away!"
The pursuers rushed toward the direction she had thrown the smoke grenade.
"Explode!" Gu Qianlu gave the order, and with a loud bang, the ground was blown apart.
"Ah! The ground is collapsing! Run!"
The pursuers from Xuanyan Pavilion were buried one by one by the sinking mud, falling into the cave like dumplings being dropped into a pot.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Gu Qianluo escaped into a cave not far away.
This cave connects to an underground river, which is very shallow. Its end point is a temple not far from Xiaoyao Mountain.
"Finally, we've gotten rid of these people. Xiao Cui, Shui Yao, don't worry."
I will absolutely not allow your immortal bones to suffer even the slightest harm again.
Using the dim light, Gu Qianluo leaned on a tree branch and struggled out of the cave.
She looked up at the mountain peaks not far away, where lanterns were lit.
Gu Qianluo recognized it; it was the highest point of the Xiaoyao Sect—Lingyun Peak.
"If you go another twenty miles, you will reach the Xiaoyao Sect."
A long-lost joy welled up in Gu Qianluo's eyes, and she murmured,
Suddenly, a commotion reached her ears, and her heart sank. She quickly hid herself in the darkness.
"Quick! We've found her! Grab her!"
"She's still in those bushes! Don't let her get away!"
In an effort to capture her, the people of Xuanyan Pavilion set up ambushes at all the exits leading to Xiaoyao Sect.
Just as she was about to retreat, a large net descended from the sky, covering Gu Qianluo completely.
Gu Qianluo narrowed her eyes and drew a round, multi-bladed knife from her waist.
She threw it into the sky, and the rounded, multi-bladed blade instantly transformed into a sharp knife. As the spinning speed increased, the multi-bladed knife sliced through the cover that was covering Gu Qianluo.
In the blink of an eye, she escaped the large net.
She quickly retrieved the Hundred Blades and then threw it into the air again.
Suddenly, the hundred blades burst forth with countless tiny needles, knocking down all those who were chasing her.
After dealing with this group of people, she continued her journey towards the Free and Unfettered Sect. "Once you pass through this forest, you will reach the Free and Unfettered Sect."
This forest has a harsh environment and is often frequented by wild animals, so many hunters covet the creatures in this forest.
I have heard that many living people have been shot and killed as prey, or taken home by hunters as wild boars.
There are no roads in this forest; we rely entirely on the Big Dipper in the sky for guidance.
If they cannot get out, they will be trapped inside forever, until they starve to death or are hunted by wild animals.
Most people rarely venture into this forest, but the most dangerous place is actually the safest place.
Gu Qianlu walked forward cautiously, constantly keeping an eye on her surroundings.
Suddenly, a sword light attacked from behind.
Gu Qianlu was startled. Before she could dodge, she saw more cold light shooting from behind her.
"Oh no!"
She had no time to dodge; her back and arms were slashed, and blood dripped down her arms, staining her fair clothes red.
The injuries to her hands were relatively easy to treat, but she had no time to attend to the wound on her back.
She crawled forward with difficulty, not knowing why.
She felt increasingly cold, and her vision gradually became blurry.
She was unwilling to accept this! She hadn't found a suitable resting place for Xiao Cui and Shui Yao yet; she couldn't die!
A hundred meters away from her, a man in black wearing a silver mask was walking towards her step by step, following the trail of her dripping blood.
"Gu Qianluo! I know you're here!"
Gu Qianlu was startled and used all her strength to continue crawling forward.
"We can't lose! I can't afford to lose!"
Tap, tap, tap, tap—a heavy clatter of iron boots approached from afar.
"finally found you!"
Gu Qianlu's heart sank, and she slowly turned her head to look at the person. "It's...it's you!"
The man snorted coldly and swung his long sword toward Gu Qianluo's back!
Gu Qianluo was weak and powerless due to excessive blood loss. Looking at the descending sword light, she couldn't help but smile bitterly.
"So this is fate? Oh well! Mother! Luo'er will be able to see you soon!"
In a daze, she seemed to see her mother calling her from under a tree not far away.
"Luo'er! Come to your mother quickly!"
Upon hearing this, Gu Qianluo revealed a rare smile, closed her eyes with satisfaction, and awaited the moment of parting from the world.
"Mother, Luo'er has come to see you!"
"Ah!~~~~"
Before Gu Qianluo completely lost her mind, she heard a terrifying cry of pain.
Then, her body fell into a warm embrace.
"Luo'er! Luo'er! Wake up!"
Qingyin Pavilion
"Dr. Meng, when will this young lady wake up?"
Chen Jinheng looked at Gu Qianluo, who had been unconscious on the bed for three days, and anxiously asked.
"Congratulations, General Chen, the wound on the back of Sect Master Junlan has stopped bleeding."
This is the prescription I wrote for her. Please have General Chen give it to her three times a day.
I believe Jun will wake up soon.
Chen Jinheng quickly took the prescription, a look of relief appearing in his eyes.
"Thank you so much, Dr. Meng! You've worked so hard!"
"Guards! Escort Doctor Meng back to the capital."
After everyone left, only Chen Jinheng and Gu Qianluo remained in the room.
