Chen Jinheng noticed that the man was staring at him intently, and a smile unconsciously crept onto his lips.
"Senior brother, did I do something wrong?"
Upon hearing this, Cuiyu (Zhuying) came to her senses and presented the painting tube in her hands with both hands.
"Open it and take a look. The person in this painting is the one you are looking for in the second level."
"Thank you, Senior Brother!"
Chen Jinheng carefully pulled the scroll out of the painting tube, and saw that the scroll only depicted the person's profile.
Chen Jinheng narrowed his eyes, trying to find a breakthrough from the figures in the painting.
Zhu Ying pushed open a pear wood door and pointed in the direction inside.
"Alright, Liu Cheng! Go in from here, the person you're looking for is inside."
Chen Jinheng nodded slightly and bid farewell to Cuiyu (Zhuying).
Chen Jinheng followed the door and walked inside, and saw that there was a lot more to it than met the eye.
The second checkpoint was a large courtyard where people were busy with their own farm work.
Some were picking corn, some were chopping firewood, some were repairing roofs, and some were weaving cloth.
Chen Jinheng slowly walked into each room, but the people there acted as if they couldn't see him at all, completely ignoring his presence and busying themselves with their own work.
He quickly walked through one farmhouse after another, looking each person inside up and down.
Why can't we see the person in the painting?
He frowned, took the painting tube from behind his back, and examined it carefully again.
"The person in the painting looks like a butcher who is not yet twenty years old."
But the people in this farmhouse are all elderly.
What secret is hidden here?
Chen Jinheng held the scroll tightly in his hand and then searched the entire courtyard from beginning to end.
"Master! I've finally caught up with you!"
A familiar voice came from behind him. Chen Jinheng raised an eyebrow and looked at the person who had entered.
"How was it? Did the first hurdle go smoothly?"
"Those mechanisms are nothing but child's play to me!"
Upon hearing this, Chen Jinheng smiled with satisfaction, "As expected of soldiers from the Chen family! Well done!"
"It's all thanks to the master's good training!"
Chen Jinheng glanced at the scroll in Han Ying's hand and asked curiously, "Han Ying, what does the person you're looking for look like?"
Upon hearing this, Han Ying scratched his head, only then remembering the important matter.
"Is this what you mean, Master? Actually, I didn't see it clearly either, and I rushed in."
"She's a young girl!"
Seeing Chen Jinheng's anxious expression, Han Ying picked up the scroll and examined it closely.
"Master, is something wrong?"
"I have just searched this courtyard twice, and it is full of elderly people over sixty. I have not seen a single child."
"Huh? Could it be that the Free and Unfettered Sect is playing a trick on us?"
Han Ying has always been straightforward and a man of his word, and she hates being tricked.
His eyes turned red, veins bulged on his hands, and he stormed toward the (jade) bamboo shadow.
Seeing his impulsiveness, Chen Jinheng frowned deeply and said sternly,
"Han Ying! Get back here right now! Are you trying to cause trouble again?"
Upon hearing Chen Jinheng's familiar command, Han Ying scurried back to where she was.
"master!"
"The Free and Unfettered Sect has always treated people with sincerity; perhaps we have misunderstood them."
The secret lies in the body shape of the figures in the painting.
"Master, what do you mean?"
"The paintings that my senior brother gave us are the original appearances of the people in the paintings."
The elderly women and men in the courtyard were all in disguise.
"I see, no wonder we couldn't find it!"
"Only by recognizing the body shape of the people in the painting compared to real people can we find them."
"In that case, Master, give me the scroll, and I'll help you find it!"
"No need. You're too busy with your own affairs to worry about me!"
Actually, I already have a rough idea.
"Han Ying! Speed up! I'll be waiting for you at the fourth checkpoint!"
"good!"
Chen Jinheng's eyes flashed, and he suddenly flew to the first room he had entered from.
Chen Jinheng slowly walked towards the man chopping wood, squatted down beside him, and said in a deep voice,
"I've found you! The person in this painting is you!"
The woodcutter's eyes narrowed slightly. He glanced at Chen Jinheng, slowly lowered his hoe, and asked in return,
"Are you sure? You only have one chance to confirm."
If you admit you're wrong, you're immediately eliminated.
"Absolutely certain! Please restore your original appearance!"
The woodcutter paused for a moment, smiled slightly at him, and peeled off the disguise on his head layer by layer.
Chen Jinheng's expression was resolute, but his heart couldn't help but pound wildly.
Congratulations! You've found the right one!
When the woodcutter's true appearance was fully revealed before him, Chen Jinheng's tense heart finally relaxed.
Thank you for your cooperation!
"This young master is truly remarkable! Good luck!"
Upon hearing this, Chen Jinheng produced a pass token in his hand, which was the key to open the gate to the third level.
"Who goes there!?"
The stone gate of the third level was opened, and the first thing that came into view was not the appearance of the opponent, but his rough and powerful voice.
Then, ten strong, tall warriors, all about the same height as Chen Jinheng, surrounded him.
They were armed with guns, knives, swords, spears, axes, halberds, whips, maces, forks, and rakes—all eighteen kinds of weapons were present.
Just looking at that powerful formation is enough to scare away a group of people.
Chen Jinheng's eyes narrowed slightly, his blood surged, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
