Chapter Sixty-Six: A Fortuitous Coincidence



"Great sir! Shopkeeper, you'll take care of it right away!"

The shopkeeper was about to flee when the blade drew even closer to his neck. The man in black warned sharply.

"Shopkeeper, if you know what's good for you, don't say it out loud, or you'll be in deep trouble, understand?"

Upon hearing this, the innkeeper was so shocked that tears welled up in his eyes, and he begged for mercy.

"Great hero, spare me! Great hero, spare me! I promise I won't utter a single falsehood!"

"Go!" The man in black stretched out a foot and kicked the shopkeeper several meters away.

Downstairs in the lobby, Gu Qianluo and Zhu Ying had just finished eating.

Just as they were about to reach the KTV to inquire about the guest rooms, they saw the manager, holding two keys, walking towards them with a beaming smile.

"Esteemed guests, we've had a really rough time today! I was just upstairs preparing to tidy up the guest rooms when we ran into you two checking out."

However, one is on the east side and the other is on the west side.

"If you two gentlemen are satisfied, I will take you upstairs to rest."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Ying felt a bad premonition. Before he could speak, Gu Qianluo spoke first, "In that case, I'll have to trouble you, Manager!"

"Alright! Please follow me, gentlemen."

"Bamboo Shadow, go and pay for the other room later."

"I'm tired today. If there's nothing urgent to do tonight, don't bother calling me."

Upon hearing the voice, Zhu Ying obeyed, "Your subordinate obeys! Young master, please rest well! We still have to travel tomorrow!"

"Alright! You need to get some rest too! You're the driver, you can't afford to make any mistakes!"

"Yes, sir!"

At the corner of the stairwell, a black figure was hidden among the clutter, the man's sinister eyes fixed on Gu Qianluo's back.
