Chapter 105 Driving into the Village

The first rays of morning sunlight pierced through the gaps in the curtains, gently waking Liu Feng and his group.

After a night's rest at a five-star hotel, they were refreshed and ready to continue their journey home.

As the morning light began to shine, around 10 a.m., we finally arrived at Xianshan County.

The escorts arranged by the gambling king successfully completed their mission and took their leave.

Standing next to his Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Liu Feng decided to drive the car home himself and experience the thrill of off-roading and climbing mountain roads.

In this impoverished small county, very few people can afford a car, and there's no such thing as traffic police checking driver's licenses.

So, Liu Feng got into the driver's seat without hesitation, while Lin Hao excitedly climbed into the passenger seat.

Uncle Zhang worriedly advised, "Liu Feng, why don't you let Ma Wen take you back to Liu Village? You haven't driven much, it's dangerous!"

"Don't worry, Uncle Zhang, it's fine. It's just driving, I can manage," Liu Feng said, refusing.

"Xiao Hao, are you scared while I'm driving?" Liu Feng asked with a smile.

"I'm not afraid! I'm not afraid of you driving, brother!" Lin Hao's answer was crisp and loud, his eyes full of trust in Liu Feng.

"Alright, let's go!" Liu Feng said with a smile. As the engine roared, the Mercedes-Benz SUV, like a beast ready to pounce, steadily drove away from the county town.

Uncle Zhang was initially a little worried, but seeing Liu Feng's steady driving and skillful technique, he felt somewhat relieved. He noticed that Liu Feng's driving posture was practiced and natural, clearly indicating that there was nothing wrong with him.

He turned and went back to the office; he had a lot to take care of after being away for so long.

Before long, the SUV entered the winding country road.

Despite the bumpy, dusty road surface, this vehicle easily handled various terrains with its excellent off-road performance, driving steadily and powerfully.

Liu Feng gripped the steering wheel tightly, staring ahead, enjoying the thrill of driving.

Whenever the vehicle bumped along, Lin Hao would excitedly shout "Great!", and that innocent joy also infected Liu Feng.

The villagers in the fields stopped what they were doing and looked in surprise at the large, rarely seen truck.

Their eyes were filled with amazement and curiosity.

An old farmer wiped the sweat from his brow and said to his companion, "Look at this car, it's really impressive. When will our village have a car like this?"

The young man next to him clicked his tongue enviously: "That's a Mercedes-Benz! Only the big bosses in the city can afford to drive one!"

Shortly after, the car entered Liucun.

The villagers rushed out of their homes and gathered by the roadside, watching the unfamiliar large SUV.

Liu Feng slowed down and greeted the villagers with a smile.

The villagers' eyes were filled with surprise, and they whispered among themselves:

"Wow, look at that car! How impressive it is! I've never seen such a big car before!"

"I haven't seen Liu Feng all summer. He came back in a car. Where did he get this car?"

"I've never seen such a big vehicle before. It's so tall, yet it's still stable to walk on!"

"It's really amazing that such a young kid like Liu Feng can drive."

The car drove slowly and finally arrived at the doorstep.

Liu Feng's younger brother Liu Fei, older sister Liu Yue, and mother He Qunfang were attracted by the sound of the car and ran out of the house.

When they saw Liu Feng get out of the car, they all stared wide-eyed, their faces filled with shock and confusion.

"This is... Fourth Brother? He actually drove back in such a big car?" Liu Yue exclaimed in surprise.

"Feng'er, you've been gone for so long, Mom has missed you so much. Where did this car come from? How did you suddenly learn to drive?" He Qunfang touched Liu Feng's face and asked with concern.

"Mom, let's go inside first, I'll tell you slowly later," Liu Feng replied with a smile.

Lin Hao sat nervously in the passenger seat, feeling somewhat lost amidst the unfamiliar surroundings and faces.

"Whose child is this?" He Qunfang asked.

Liu Feng lifted Lin Hao out of the car and gently introduced him, "Mom, this is Lin Hao. He'll be living with us from now on."

"Youngest brother, your big brother has brought you a little brother back. You can play with him from now on!" Liu turned to Liu Feng and said.

Seeing this, Liu Fei obediently pulled Lin Hao aside to play.

While the two were playing, Liu Feng told his mother and sister about Lin Hao's situation.

While talking to Liu Fei, Lin Hao would occasionally glance at Liu Feng, his eyes revealing a hint of dependence and unease.

Seeing Lin Hao's somewhat shy look, He Qunfang quickly said to Liu Yue, "Quickly get some candy for Xiao Hao so he won't be afraid."

"Xiao Hao, are you hungry? Have a candy first, and Auntie will cook for you right away." He Qunfang patted Lin Hao's head and went to the kitchen to cook.

Lin Hao obediently accepted the candy and whispered with Liu Fei around the large SUV parked at the door.

"Sis, there are gifts for you and Mom in the car, go and get them yourselves!" Liu Feng said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Liu Yue immediately perked up and peered into the car. Seeing the boxes overflowing with things, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Mom, come quick! Fourth Brother brought back so many things!"

He Qunfang originally wanted to cook first, but upon hearing Liu Yue's call, she couldn't resist coming out of the kitchen.

Liu Feng opened the trunk, revealing several large boxes.

Pointing to one of the items, Liu Yue asked in confusion, "This... is a television?"

“Yes, I bought one for my eldest uncle, second uncle, and maternal grandfather’s house.” Liu Feng answered casually.

"How much does such a big TV cost?" He Qunfang asked in surprise, gaining a new understanding of Liu Feng's ability to make money.

Someone in the village bought a 12-inch black and white television set, which cost five or six hundred yuan.

Now Liu Feng bought four of them in one go. How much did that cost? Just thinking about it makes my heart pound.

This son is too good at squandering money, and the main problem is that the money isn't actually being paid to her, so she can't really say anything directly.

Liu Feng didn't tell He Qunfang that this was a 29-inch color television, which cost more than five thousand yuan and was simply unavailable in small towns.

Seeing their surprised and delighted expressions, Liu Feng felt a surge of joy.

He simply moved a small stool and sat down, leisurely watching Liu Yue and her mother unload their belongings from the car one by one.

"Fourth brother, come and lend a hand, this TV is really heavy!" Liu Yue shouted.

He Qunfang quickly stopped him, saying, "Don't call him your fourth brother. He just got home and hasn't even had a sip of water yet. Let him rest first."

Liu Yue replied with a grin, "Mom, look at Fourth Brother, he doesn't look tired at all!"

Liu Feng smiled and also carried a few lighter items.

Just then, Grandpa, Uncle, Second Uncle, and some villagers rushed over to watch Liu Feng drive back in his large SUV.

The elderly and children in the village all cast curious glances at the luxury car and came over to take a look.
