Chapter 13 Golden Ganoderma

“Uncle Zhang, you have followed my master for half your life, and my master has trusted and loved you immensely. I am still young and need your continued assistance in managing the business left by my master.”

"As for Sister Zhang, if she doesn't want to return to China, you don't need to force her. I'll go abroad later and invite her back for you!"

"If I can't bring Sister Zhang back, I will take care of you in your old age and see you off when you die."

Liu Feng spoke earnestly, word by word.

Hearing Liu Feng's words, Uncle Zhang felt greatly relieved, and his goodwill towards Liu Feng deepened even more.

Uncle Zhang's wife had passed away long ago, leaving him all alone, while his only daughter works far away in the United States.

The two lived far apart and could not meet often.

Uncle Zhang always harbored a hope for his daughter, wishing that she could return to China to work and stay by his side.

However, their daughter preferred to stay in the United States, which strained their relationship.

Liu Feng clearly remembered that when he first entered Qingfeng Temple, Uncle Zhang affectionately pinched his chubby cheeks as soon as they met, his affection was evident.

Upon learning that Liu Feng was his master's newly accepted disciple, Uncle Zhang was overjoyed and picked him up, giving him a few gentle kisses.

Although the stubble prickled Liu Feng's face and caused a slight pain, he could feel Uncle Zhang's joy.

Uncle Zhang's fondness for Liu Feng stemmed not only from his adorable appearance and status as the direct descendant of the main family, but also from Liu Feng's obedient and sensible nature, sweet tongue, and politeness.

Whenever Liu Feng sees Uncle Zhang, he greets him warmly: "Hello, Uncle Zhang!" or "Thank you for the gift, Uncle Zhang!" His clear and melodious voice always makes Uncle Zhang happy.

Sometimes, when Uncle Zhang thinks of his daughter who lives far away in the United States, he sighs, "Girls grow up and leave home; if I had given birth to a boy, I might be holding my grandson now."

"Uncle Zhang, I plan to go down the mountain and return home in a few days. Could you please prepare 100,000 yuan in cash for me? The supply of medicinal herbs here has been temporarily suspended, and I want to use the money I have left to invest. We can discuss it in detail later."

Liu Feng is no longer the child who first entered Qingfeng Temple, but has gradually grown into a big kid with his own opinions.

As his cultivation level improved, the medicines and pills he used to take were no longer sufficient to meet his growing needs.

After staying at Qingfeng Temple for several days, Uncle Zhang set off. Two days later, he sent someone to deliver cash.

Uncle Zhang loves traveling around to discuss business, savoring local delicacies, and enjoying a vibrant life.

He also has a group of capable subordinates who are always at his beck and call and handle all kinds of affairs for him.

This is also why he resolutely refused to go to the United States to live with his daughter.

Moreover, the older people get, the less willing they are to go to foreign lands, and the more reluctant they are to leave their homeland.

The next day, the sun shone brightly and it was exceptionally warm.

The scenery on Wudang Mountain is picturesque, vibrant, and breathtaking. Tourists, in twos and threes, climb up the winding mountain paths, admiring the magnificent natural landscape.

On a sparsely populated mountain path, there was a distinctive little figure. He wore a short Taoist robe, carried a medicine basket on his back, and had a sword hanging at his waist. He moved with agility and grace.

As he was climbing a steep mountain ridge, he encountered a group of teenagers who were also climbing.

They were of similar age, dressed in fashionable and casual clothes, and their faces radiated youthful energy and vitality.

When they saw Liu Feng, a hint of surprise flashed in their eyes.

The young Taoist priest looked to be no more than eleven or twelve years old, but he was very handsome. His delicate face exuded a spiritual aura that made people want to get close to him.

One of the girls, out of curiosity, stepped forward and wanted to chat with Liu Feng.

She asked softly, "Little brother, are you a young Taoist priest from Wudang Mountain? Why are you traveling alone?"

Upon hearing this, Liu Feng did not stop. He shook his head and said calmly, "I came here to gather herbs, not for sightseeing. You'd better not go any deeper into the mountains; it's not safe there!"

Having said that, he continued walking, his steps light and quick. Soon, his figure disappeared from everyone's sight.

"Hmph, this little brat is pretty fast, like a rabbit. He says it's not safe, but if he's not afraid, what are we afraid of?" a boy muttered disdainfully.

Liu Feng did not turn around, nor did he care about the discussions behind him.

He avoided the crowd and used the Wudang Ladder Cloud Leap technique, his movements light and agile, like a monkey in the mountains, darting through the forest.

The mountain road was rugged and treacherous, but Liu Feng continued on his way without being affected at all.

Occasionally, he would encounter some small animals, and casually catch a few pheasants and a rabbit, intending to bring them back to the Taoist temple to change his palate.

He glanced at the wild game that appeared later but didn't touch it, because his main task was to gather herbs.

Whenever he discovers a rare medicinal herb, he stops and carefully picks it, storing most of it in his gourd space.

The medicine basket contained only a few herbs, so it did not appear heavy.

Suddenly, two red figures flashed past Liu Feng, and he immediately sensed them with his keen divine sense. They were two fiery red foxes.

Seeing them flee into the distance, Liu Feng flashed and instantly appeared ten meters away, blocking the two foxes' path.

These two foxes were fiery red all over, without a single other color. Their fur was as smooth as silk, like burning flames, exuding an irresistible charm.

Based on Liu Feng's knowledge from his previous life, such furs would be worth at least ten thousand yuan if they entered the market.

If used to make scarves or clothing, they would be rare and precious items.

Upon seeing Liu Feng blocking their way, the two foxes immediately turned around and attempted to escape.
