In spring, outside Qingfeng Temple, the mountains are verdant and shrouded in mist, resembling a natural painting.
Wildflowers bloom in scattered spots along the mountain path, attracting bees and butterflies to dance around them. The faint fragrance of flowers mingles with the fresh scent of pine and cypress trees, carried on the breeze.
Qingfeng Temple is located on the mountainside, and its green tiles and white walls appear particularly serene under the shade of green trees.
On the stone steps in front of the temple, several peach trees are in full bloom. The pink petals flutter in the wind and fall like a drizzle, covering the steps and creating a floral carpet for visitors.
Liu Yue led her entire family onto the path covered with flower petals.
She walked at the front, followed by her father Liu Changqing, her mother He Qunfang, and a bouncy, beautiful little girl.
It was Liu Yue's little cousin, He Tiantian, who was four years old this year. She was wearing a pink ruqun (a type of traditional Chinese dress) and had two small braids with red bows tied to them, making her look like a little elf.
She held a candied hawthorn stick in her hand, showing no signs of fatigue, licking it as she walked, her face covered in sugar stains.
Liu Changqing wore a light blue shirt, with his jacket casually draped over his arm. He walked with a steady gait, and his demeanor was quite different from before.
The poor man who toiled for a living in his past life, his face weathered and worn, is now free from worries about food, clothing, and the affairs of his children and family.
His face exuded composure and confidence.
He Qunfang followed closely behind. She was very well-maintained, with fair and delicate skin and no wrinkles around her eyes, making her look no more than thirty years old.
Her jet-black hair was piled up like clouds, adorned with a few exquisite beads and jade. Standing next to Liu Yue, they looked like a pair of beautiful sisters, and anyone who saw them would have to praise them.
As soon as she stepped into Qingfeng Temple, her gaze fell on Yu Jingya, a gentle smile on her lips: "Jingya, I've missed you so much."
Yu Jingya was slightly taken aback, and a blush rose to her cheeks.
Seeing this, He Qunfang simply smiled and subtly looked Yu Jingya up and down, glancing lightly at her daughter-in-law's stomach.
Although the gaze was discreet, it was still caught by the sharp-eyed Liu Yue, who couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Beside her, He Tiantian looked like a joyful little bird that had broken free from its cage, her eyes sparkling.
As soon as she saw Fengling, Yunyi, and Liufeng, she happily ran over and called out in her childish voice, "Cousin! Sister Fengling! Brother Yunyi!"
Her little face was flushed, and she opened her arms, wanting to give everyone a big hug.
Feng Lingyan, who was closest to her, picked He Tiantian up and spun her around in the air, making He Tiantian giggle: "Tiantian, did you miss your sister?"
"Yes!" He Tiantian nodded vigorously, her little hands tightly gripping Fengling's clothes. "Tiantian misses everyone every day!"
Liu Feng also stepped forward, gently pinched He Tiantian's cheek, and said with a smile, "Tiantian has grown taller again."
He Tiantian blinked her big eyes, leaned close to Liu Feng, and said sweetly, "Cousin is the best! Tiantian likes cousin the most!"
After saying that, she tiptoed and gave Liu Feng a light kiss on the cheek, leaving a ring of glistening sugar stains on his face.
Liu Feng straightened up, looking at He Tiantian's quirky appearance, he was both amused and exasperated. He helplessly wiped his face with his hand and said, "You little rascal, you certainly have a sweet tongue."
He Qunfang looked at this scene with loving eyes and turned to Yu Jingya, saying, "Jingya, look how much Tiantian likes her cousin. If you have children in the future, they will definitely be just as cute."
Upon hearing this, Yu Jingya blushed again and whispered, "Mom, it's too early for that..."
He Qunfang smiled and didn't say anything more, but just gave her a meaningful look.
On the other side, Liu Yue gently nudged Liu Feng's arm and whispered, "Fourth brother, where is the treasure you promised me? I've been thinking about it for so long."
Liu Feng smiled knowingly, took out an exquisite brocade box from his sleeve, gently opened it, and a pair of shimmering earrings lay quietly inside.
"Wow, so beautiful!" Liu Yue couldn't help but exclaim, drawing everyone's attention.
"The Twin Pearls of the Illusory Sea." Liu Feng handed the earrings to Liu Yue and said, "Big sister, here you go."
Liu Yue carefully put it on. Instantly, a wonderful feeling welled up in her heart.
Her earrings glowed slightly, as if a faint halo surrounded her, making her even more radiant and beautiful.
“These earrings…” Liu Yue looked at Liu Feng with surprise.
Liu Feng smiled and explained the extraordinary features of the earring to Liu Yue.
Upon hearing this, Liu Yue's eyes were filled with surprise. She gently stroked her earring and nodded, saying, "Fourth brother, this gift is too precious. I like it very much."
At this moment, Liu Changqing had walked to Liu Feng's side, looked at the ancient Qingfeng Temple, and nodded slightly: "This place is nice, quiet and elegant, a good place for self-cultivation."
Liu Feng smiled and said, "Dad, why don't you come with me to see the sights? There are still many wonders here."
Liu Changqing nodded, put his hands behind his back, and stepped forward.
As Liu Changqing walked and looked around, his eyes were full of amazement. He would occasionally ask about the layout, history, and cultivation methods of the temple.
Liu Feng answered each question patiently.
"Dad, this way, let's go see the spirit fruit garden on the back mountain. In spring, some of the fruits are at their freshest and most tender." Liu Feng smiled and led Liu Changqing forward.
After visiting Qingfeng Temple, Liu Feng took his father to Wudang Mountain.
On Wudang Mountain, amidst swirling clouds and mist, ancient temples stand serene and solemn, nestled among verdant pines and cypresses. Occasionally, a Taoist priest passes by with a whisk, and the clear sound of bells echoes through the mountains, bringing peace to the mind.
The figures of the father and son gradually disappeared into the mountains, blending into the beautiful spring scenery.
Inside the mountains, outside the mountains, the spring mountains seem to smile.
