Inside Baiyun Temple.
When the old Taoist Zhang Shanyun met the Lingsu Master, he changed his usual indifferent demeanor and could not hide his pride and boastfulness. His words were full of pride, and he repeatedly mentioned Liu Feng, claiming that this little disciple had already mastered all his true teachings.
Ling Su Zhenren Bai Yaohua listened calmly, a smile on her face, but she didn't show much interest.
She thought to herself, "He's just a kid, how powerful can he be? Is Old Daoist Qingfeng senile? Let him see the difference between us disciples!"
Seeing the old Taoist priest Qingfeng talking incessantly, even the usually calm and composed heart of True Person Lingsu stirred with a hint of competitive spirit.
She turned her head slightly and whispered to the female disciple beside her, "Go and call Jiu'er over."
Master Lingsu had nine disciples, and the little nun who was sitting alone and crying at the bottom of the steps just now was her youngest disciple, named "Jiu'er".
Because of her aloof nature and other reasons, Jiu'er was not liked by her senior sisters and often curled up alone in a corner, secretly wiping away her tears.
When Jiu'er timidly entered the main hall, her cheeks instantly flushed crimson when her gaze inadvertently swept over Liu Feng. She subconsciously touched her pocket, where the candy Liu Feng had given her was still bulging.
She thought to herself, "Why is this little Taoist priest here? How embarrassing."
When Jiu'er heard her master ask her to practice the "White Cloud Palm Technique," she became even more nervous, as if a little deer was running around wildly, afraid that the candy in her pocket would fall out if she wasn't careful.
She silently prayed to herself, "I must not let anyone find out about the candy, otherwise... my senior sisters will laugh at me again."
Fortunately, it was still chilly in early spring, and we were dressed warmly with deep pockets, so the candy shouldn't fall out easily.
Jiu'er took a deep breath and began to use the White Cloud Palm Technique.
"The flowing water goes down the rapids unintentionally, the white clouds emerge from the mountain without purpose..." Jiu'er's figure was light and graceful, and the wind in her palms surged quietly as she unleashed a set of palm techniques as light as drifting white clouds.
Her every movement was fluid and natural, with a graceful and refreshing quality that made her stand out.
Seeing this, the old Taoist Qingfeng nodded repeatedly, stroking his beard and praising, "Not bad, not bad, Master Lingsu has taught well!"
Not to be outdone, Qingfeng Laodao also had Liu Feng perform a set of Wudang Mountain's "Cotton Palm" techniques.
Liu Feng remained calm and, after standing still, began to slowly perform the 32-form Cotton Palm.
This Cotton Palm technique consists of thirty-two forms. The main technique is using the palm, which moves in a circular motion, stretching out like cotton, with continuous and uninterrupted movements.
At first, Master Lingsu did not pay much attention, thinking: No matter how exquisite a seven or eight-year-old child's palm technique is, it is still limited.
Unexpectedly, as she looked, Master Lingsu's gaze became fixed.
Although Liu Feng's "Cotton Palm" appears soft as cotton, it contains hidden strength. The airflow around his body changes with the palm technique, which is already the realm of Qi Induction. His aura is profound and extraordinary.
Master Lingsu was startled and secretly surprised: "Old Daoist Qingfeng has indeed taken on a good disciple. No wonder he is so proud today. It turns out he came prepared."
She couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, "Brother Dao, you have taught so well! Your disciple's skills are extraordinary; he truly deserves to be called a genius. He is the only one I have ever seen in my life."
When Qingfeng Laodao heard Lingsu Zhenren's praise, the look of pride on his face deepened.
He tilted his head back slightly, laughed heartily, and said with pride, "You flatter me, Master. This kid only has a superficial understanding and still has a lot to learn. However, this child does have some talent and is willing to work hard, which pleases me greatly."
After saying that, he looked at Liu Feng with affection, his eyes full of satisfaction and expectation.
When Jiu'er heard her master praise the other, she was unconvinced. "It was clearly because I was distracted just now. If I had focused, I certainly wouldn't have been any worse than him."
She believes that when she was performing the White Cloud Palm technique, she was constantly worried about spilling the candy in her pocket, which prevented her from achieving a focused and natural flow, resulting in a less than ideal performance.
"Hmph, this little rascal must have ill intentions to give me candy." Jiu'er couldn't help but feel annoyed and secretly sneered in her heart.
But when she looked up again at the young Taoist priest who was a few years younger than her, she saw that he had delicate features, red lips and white teeth, and looked like a fairy child in a painting. Her resentment vanished instantly.
She couldn't help but smile: "Oh dear, he's still just a little brother, he wouldn't have any bad intentions."
After figuring things out, Jiu'er stopped blaming Liu Feng, but her master, Ling Su Zhenren, was somewhat unwilling and wanted to turn the tables.
The female disciples of Baiyun Temple are not only highly skilled in palm techniques, but also most adept at music.
In music, even the old Taoist Qingfeng was no match for her. Therefore, True Person Lingsu asked Jiu'er to play a piece for her master to hear.
Upon hearing this, the old Taoist priest Qingfeng was secretly delighted. He had brought his beloved disciple along this time, hoping that his disciple could regain his face through music.
Beside her, Jiu'er sat upright in front of the zither. When she wasn't crying, she revealed a different kind of charm.
With her delicate fingers lightly plucking the strings, a melodious tune of "Nanyue" began to play. The music was ethereal and pleasing to the ear, as if transporting the listener to the beautiful landscape of Nanyue.
Among Ling Su Zhenren's nine disciples, Jiu'er's zither skills, while not the most outstanding, were still at an average level. At her age, such zither skills were considered exceptionally gifted.
At this moment, she glanced at Liu Feng while playing the instrument, thinking to herself, "Let's see how you beat me this time?"
When it was Liu Feng's turn to play, he walked to the piano with a calm and composed expression, showing no sign of nervousness whatsoever.
Although he is still young, he exudes a kind of temperament that is inconsistent with his age.
Liu Feng closed his eyes slightly, and in order to bring glory to the old Taoist Qingfeng, he played a piece called "Nanyue" without reservation.
