Chapter 213 Encounter

Liu Feng did not respond to Wang Juan's question, but gazed at her beautiful face with deep affection, then hugged her tightly and gently sealed her lips with his.

A moment later.

Wang Juan seemed to wake from a dream and broke free, fleeing along the willow-lined path with a blush on her face.

Her mind went blank, and she had long since put her previous questions behind her.

When she encountered pedestrians, she lowered her head shyly, not daring to make eye contact, her mind replaying the heart-pounding moment from just now.

Liu Feng watched her flee in a panic, a smug smile appearing on his lips, and quickly followed after her.

His heart was filled with love and pity for Wang Juan. He knew his actions had been somewhat rash, but he didn't want to deceive the girl he admired. He pondered to himself, should he really lie?

The two chased each other across the campus.

"Wait for me!" Liu Feng called out.

Wang Juan stopped in her tracks, her watery eyes glaring at Liu Feng: "What is it?"

Liu Feng said with a forced smile, "We didn't eat well at the cafeteria for dinner, let's go out and get some lamb skewers."

Wang Juan slightly raised her chin: "You pay."

Liu Feng patted his chest proudly: "Today, I'll take care of it all!"

Wang Juan's expression immediately improved, and the two happily walked towards the school gate.

By this time, the afterglow of the setting sun had gradually faded, and the streetlights at the school gate lit up one by one, casting a soft, dim yellow light.

Wang Juan and Liu Feng were standing in front of a food stall, holding lamb skewers in their hands, laughing and chatting happily.

A gentle breeze stirred Wang Juan's hair and the boy's heart.

However, this tranquility and beauty was shattered by a sudden figure.

Wang Juan stared blankly in one direction.

Liu Feng followed her gaze and saw a middle-aged man wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and trousers walking towards them.

Wang Juan exclaimed in surprise, "Dad, what brings you here?"

The middle-aged man looked at his daughter and Liu Feng with a gloomy face, especially when he saw the lamb skewers in their hands and the intimate way the two of them had just been, and anger welled up in his heart.

He strode up to Wang Juan, his gaze sweeping back and forth between the two of them, and asked in a low voice, "Wang Juan, why aren't you studying? What are you doing here?"

Thinking about what she and Liu Feng had just done, Wang Juan lowered her head guiltily, unsure what to do with the lamb skewers in her hand, and whispered, "Dad, we just came out to eat something."

Seeing this, Liu Feng quickly stepped forward and explained, "Uncle, hello. I'm Wang Juan's classmate. We really just came out to buy some food."

Wang Juan's father turned to look at Liu Feng and said sternly, "Classmate? I think your relationship is more than just friendship. Wang Juan is still a student; her job is to study, not to date. Stay away from my daughter from now on."

Liu Feng didn't expect Wang Juan's father to be so impulsive, but he still said, "Uncle, we just came out to buy some lamb skewers, we didn't do anything excessive. Please don't get so angry."

Wang Juan's father sneered: "What do you mean by 'excessive' or 'not excessive'? Do you think I don't know you two are dating at school?"

Wang Juan said softly, "Dad, don't be angry..." trying to ease the tension.

However, Wang Juan's father looked at Liu Feng even more sternly: "You kids, all you do is fool around all day. I'm warning you, don't stay with my daughter anymore."

Just then, Wang Juan suddenly raised her head, tears glistening in her eyes, but she did not avoid her father's gaze. She straightened up and said firmly, "Dad, Liu Feng is very good to me, and I like him."

Her voice was clear and loud, as if she were advocating for Liu Feng's position and defending their relationship.

Wang Juan's father was clearly not expected to hear her say that. He felt a tightness in his chest, his brows furrowed in anger, and he roared, "How old are you? You like him? Do you even know what liking someone means? What do you know?"

He was disappointed by his daughter's decision.

Liu Feng was worried that the relationship between the father and daughter would deteriorate further, so he said to Wang Juan, "I'm leaving first. Your dad will be even more unhappy if I stay here. You should talk to your dad properly."

Wang Juan called out, "Liu Feng, it's me—"

Liu Feng turned around and comforted him, "I'm fine."

After saying that, he turned and left.

Wang Juan and her father fell silent.

Wang Juan's father looked at his daughter, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He knew his daughter had grown up and had her own thoughts and feelings, but he was also worried that this relationship would affect her studies.

He said earnestly, "Juan'er, Dad doesn't mean to oppose you making friends, but this is a crucial time. The college entrance examination will determine your future. You can't let this distract you."

Wang Juan bit her lip, feeling conflicted.

She knew her father meant well, but she couldn't let go of Liu Feng. "Dad, I know the college entrance exam is important, and I will study hard. But being with Liu Feng hasn't affected my studies."

Wang Juan's father sighed: "You are still young, and it's hard to explain matters of the heart. You may like someone now, but what about later? When you go to university and meet more people, you may have different thoughts."

Wang Juan was silent for a moment, then looked up at her father and said, "Dad, I know you mean well. But Liu Feng and I truly love each other. We will study hard together and try to get into a good university."

Seeing his daughter so devoted to that boy, Wang Juan's father was heartbroken.

He thought to himself that his precious daughter must have been fooled by that boy, and now she wouldn't listen to him at all. Luckily, Liu Feng was sensible enough to leave early, otherwise he would have been in for a beating.
