Chapter 24 I'm Back

The next morning, Huang Jiayao prepared a large and sumptuous breakfast. Liang Ziyan served Liu Feng food while warmly calling him "little brother Liu Feng".

Uncle Zhou took out a bottle of Moutai liquor and, seeing that Liu Feng was still a child, poured him a little bit to sip.

He was naturally very grateful to Liu Feng for curing the snake venom on Zi Yang's arm. He then inquired about Liu Feng's teacher.

Liu Feng replied, "My master was a reclusive Taoist priest on Mount Wudang, and he has already passed away!"

"Your master must be an extraordinary person, otherwise how could he have taught you, this little miracle doctor!" Uncle Zhou looked Liu Feng up and down and said with emotion.

Everyone ate and chatted.

Breakfast included steamed buns, soy milk, and jianbing (Chinese crepes), a dazzling array of options.

Liu Feng never expected that Aunt Huang Jiayao, who looked so elegant and intellectual, would also be such a good cook.

After dinner, Liang Ziyang and Liang Ziyan wanted to take Liu Feng to the city for fun, but Liu Feng declined their offer.

Liu Feng said that he was disabled since childhood and was sent to a Taoist temple when he was two years old, which cured his physical ailment.

Now, having not seen his family for ten years, he misses them dearly and just wants to go home as soon as possible.

When Huang Jiayao and Liang Ziyan heard Liu Feng say this, their eyes couldn't help but sting with tears. They didn't realize that this young Taoist priest had such a background.

Uncle Zhou, watching from the side, couldn't help but feel sorry for Liu Feng. Seeing that this eleven-year-old boy dared to come to Zhongzhou alone from Hubei Province, he couldn't help but sigh.

"Brother Liu Feng, do you still remember the way home?" Liang Ziyan asked worriedly.

“I have my home address, I can find the place!” Liu Feng had memories of his past life, how could he not know the way home?

"Liu Feng, your home is in Liu Village, Wenshu Township, right? I'll arrange for someone to drive you home," Uncle Zhou said after thinking for a moment.

"It's too much trouble for Uncle Zhou. I know how to get around by car. It's no problem," Liu Feng declined.

"Listen to your aunt, let your Uncle Zhou arrange a car to take you home. Now that I know, how can I let a little kid like you go home alone!" Huang Jiayao said without waiting for a reply.

Finally, Uncle Zhou made a phone call, and the car arrived shortly afterward.

Before parting, the group saw him off outside the building, and Huang Jiayao even gave Liu Feng a big bag of snacks, truly treating him like a child.

Just as Liu Feng was getting into the car, Liang Ziyan suddenly pinched his face with her slender fingers.

Liu Feng blushed with embarrassment. As a cultivator in the Qi Refining stage, he was embarrassed to have his face pinched by a little girl.

"Little brother Liu Feng, your skin is so smooth, I can't help but want to pinch it." Liang Ziyan smiled charmingly, her eyes sparkling with affection.

For some reason, ever since she first saw Liu Feng on Wudang Mountain, Liang Ziyan couldn't help but want to get closer to him.

Whenever she saw Liu Feng's handsome face and youthful appearance, she would unconsciously want to get closer and protect him like an older sister.

After hearing this, Liu Feng smiled a little embarrassedly and corrected her, "Sister Ziyan, I'm all grown up now, so please don't call me little brother anymore. You can call me Liu Feng like Brother Ziyang, that would be more appropriate."

After saying that, he got into the car.

Zhou Ziyang stood to the side, watching Liu Feng get into the car, and couldn't help but call out, "Liu Feng, remember to come visit us in the city when you have time!"

Her voice drifted in the breeze as the Santana slowly drove out of the residential area.

The car bumped along the country road, and the scenery outside the window gradually became familiar and welcoming.

Finally, the car arrived at the entrance of Liucun Village.

Liu Feng signaled the driver to stop the car slowly, then opened the door and handed the driver a pack of cigarettes that he had prepared beforehand.

He smiled and said, "Master, you must be tired from your journey. Please accept this pack of cigarettes."

The driver was a young man, around thirty years old.

He initially refused, but Liu Feng insisted. Taking the cigarette, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. He gave Liu Feng a grateful look and said, "Thank you."

He then turned the car around and drove away.

The scenery at the entrance of Liucun Village comes into view: dilapidated mud-brick houses can be seen everywhere, the roof tiles weighed down by stones look mottled, and the walls are covered with the marks of time.

The village paths are still dirt roads, which become muddy and impassable when it rains.

In the distance, two or three figures craned their necks curiously, looking in Liu Feng's direction.

He glanced around and found that these faces were all too familiar, and each face looked younger, more energetic and youthful than he remembered.

Liu Feng couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions. It's so good to be young, and it's so good to be home!

He gently patted his Taoist robe, as if trying to shake off all the past events.

However, those past memories flashed through his mind like a movie, one by one: laughter, tears, loss, regret, and resentment...

He took a deep breath and exhaled gently. The chaotic emotions in his heart gradually calmed down. He clenched his two small fists and felt that everything in his past life was just a big dream.

Only now have I truly awakened, and the person I have returned to is the most authentic me.

Thinking of this, Liu Feng's steps became lighter.

The feeling of trepidation as I approached home gradually dissipated, replaced by the joy of returning home.

He knew that in this world, at this point in time, there were so many people he missed. They were all still young, everything was just beginning, and there was still time for everything.

In this life, Liu Feng is determined to live up to his youth and to be true to you.

His heart was filled with anticipation and longing for the future, and he thought of the people he loved: his parents, siblings, first love, and his maternal grandparents...

The images of these people flashed through his mind, making him quicken his pace.

"I'm back!" Liu Feng murmured softly.

He smiled as he walked towards his home, meeting the surprised gazes of the villagers.

Several stray dogs rushed out of the alley, barking wildly.

But in front of Liu Feng, they seemed to sense a different aura. They circled him a few times and then quietly lay down on the ground.

Liu Feng walked past calmly, without the slightest fear.

He knew that these barking mutts didn't actually bite; they were just expressing their wariness of strangers.

"Where did this little Taoist priest come from?" someone asked, observing Liu Feng from a distance.

"This young Taoist priest is so handsome, like a porcelain doll, a hundred times better looking than our dog, Gou Danzi!" a woman teased with a smile.

"Where is this young Taoist priest going? Let's follow him and see." Several villagers who had nothing better to do also followed, wanting to see where Liu Feng was going.

Just then, Liu Feng saw his uncle, Liu Changfu.

Liu Changfu was in his prime, strong and healthy, carrying a hoe on his back, and was preparing to go to work in the fields.
