Liu Feng nodded quickly and solemnly promised, "Auntie, don't worry, I will take good care of Jingya and make her happy for the rest of her life."
The father-in-law continued, "We're not unreasonable people. As long as you two can live a good life, we'll be satisfied. However, the wedding can't be taken lightly; it must be a grand and spectacular affair."
The mother-in-law added, "These days, the three gold pieces and wedding rings are also essential."
Liu Feng confidently replied, "Uncle and Aunt, don't worry, we will plan the wedding carefully so that Jingya will have a grand wedding and everything that is expected will be included."
Yu Jingya listened to the conversation between her parents and Liu Feng, feeling both moved and happy.
The charcoal in the brazier crackled and popped, filling the entire room with a warm glow.
The conversation continued, revolving around Liu Feng and Yu Jingya's wedding. Some offered creative ideas and suggestions, filling the upcoming ceremony with anticipation.
As evening fell, Liu Feng prepared to leave, but Yu Jingya held him tightly, her eyes filled with reluctance.
Liu Feng softened and, unable to resist his girlfriend's coquettishness, decided to stay.
At this point, Zhang Wei, the eldest brother-in-law, had sobered up, and everyone started playing Dou Dizhu (a popular Chinese card game).
With Liu Feng's quick thinking and clear mind, Zhang Wei and his father-in-law were no match for him. So Liu Feng handed the cards to Yu Jingya, asking her to help him play.
The father-in-law saw through Liu Feng's intentions and secretly admired his intelligence and understanding.
After dinner, everyone continued playing until late at night.
Yu Jingya tidied up her small room neatly and cozily, with a soft pink sheet on a single bed and a cute cushion on it.
On the desk by the window, there is a small photo frame containing a picture of Liu Feng and Yu Jingya. It was taken when they graduated from elementary school, and it all seems like it happened yesterday, as beautiful as a dream.
"Why don't you sleep in my room tonight?" Yu Jingya said to Liu Feng.
"Isn't it inappropriate for us to sleep together?" Liu Feng asked, somewhat surprised.
"Who's sleeping with you? You're sleeping here all by yourself. My older sister, the two kids, and I will sleep in another room," Yu Jingya said with a coquettish laugh.
"How about I sleep with your brother? You can sleep in your own room. It's too crowded for the four of you to share one bed," Liu Feng said after a moment's hesitation.
“No, you’ll sleep in my room. Yu Liang’s bed is a complete mess, you’re not allowed to sleep there.” Yu Jingya shook her head firmly.
"Okay, whatever you say, I'm fine with anything." Liu Feng smiled helplessly.
Then, he took off his clothes and lay down on Yu Jingya's bed, feeling the soft mattress and the faint scent of a young girl, and felt a strange itch in his heart.
While Liu Feng was taking off his clothes, Yu Jingya went to another room, feeling embarrassed.
The eldest sister, Yu Jingmin, was putting the two children to sleep when she saw her younger sister come in. She chuckled softly, "You've already arranged things with your lover so quickly? I thought you weren't coming over tonight."
"If I don't come over, where will I sleep?" Yu Jingya replied, blushing.
"You sleep with your lover?" the eldest sister, Yu Jingmin, teased.
"Big sister, aren't you ashamed?" Yu Jingya stomped her foot shyly.
"What do you mean by shame? I've been through this, I know everything. Tell me the truth, have you two done *that*?" Yu Jingmin asked with a smile.
"We don't." Yu Jingya understood what her older sister was asking, her heart raced, and her face burned. She shook her head softly.
"My sister is so beautiful, how could he, a young man full of vigor, not have any thoughts about her?" Yu Jingmin was somewhat surprised.
“He is a very upright person,” Yu Jingya replied earnestly.
"Could it be that he's impotent?" the eldest sister, Yu Jingmin, asked half-jokingly.
"Sister, what nonsense are you talking about? He's fine!" Yu Jingya panicked, a hint of panic flashing in her eyes, her cheeks turning even redder.
"You don't have that, so how do you know whether it's okay or not?" the eldest sister, Yu Jingmin, continued to press.
"I'm not talking to you anymore." Yu Jingya blushed so much that her face turned bright red to her earlobes, and she almost wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into. "Oh right, it's so cold at night, I forgot to get Liu Feng a thick quilt."
After saying that, Yu Jingya blushed and hurriedly went to Liu Feng's room.
