Liu Feng walked to the supermarket entrance.
In that short 15-minute journey, his state of mind underwent a tremendous change, and he finally let go of a love affair.
What is love?
Loving you is the purest freedom deep within my heart; whether you accept it or not is entirely up to you. My kindness towards you is all voluntary. You can cherish it, or you can be indifferent; it's all up to you.
My love for you should not be the reason for your love for me.
This realization greatly enhanced Liu Feng's state of mind. He could clearly sense that his Golden Core stage cultivation had become more stable.
at the same time.
Zhu Shuang stood quietly in the cold wind not far away, her red down jacket standing out brightly in the bleak winter, like a red plum blossom blooming in winter.
When she saw Liu Feng approaching, she asked with concern, "How did your talk with Wang Juan go?"
Liu Feng suddenly broke into a smile, a smile as radiant as spring sunshine, instantly brightening the world around him.
Zhu Shuang felt a sudden brightness before her eyes and involuntarily squinted, as if the surrounding air had become incredibly radiant in that instant.
That fleeting moment of beauty made her heart race, as if a fawn was leaping wildly through her chest.
She gasped inwardly, then parted her red lips slightly and said, "Liu Feng, you—"
Liu Feng still had a smile on his face: "I'm fine."
However, when Zhu Shuang looked at Liu Feng more closely, he had returned to his original state. That stunning smile from just moments before seemed to have been merely her imagination.
Even so, Liu Feng's handsome face still made her heart flutter, and an invisible force was drawing her gaze.
"How are you?" Zhu Shuang asked again.
"Me and her..." Liu Feng hesitated, then stopped.
"She'll regret it." Zhu Shuang's tone was firm, tinged with a hint of pity and helplessness. She felt sorry for Wang Juan's choice. Deep down, however, she inexplicably hoped that Liu Feng could have something better.
"I'm leaving," Liu Feng said softly.
"Could you help me push the bike? I'll walk with you for a bit. Besides, I want to hold Little Sweetie a little longer; she looks so adorable when she's asleep," Zhu Shuang pleaded gently, her voice tinged with reluctance.
"Okay," Liu Feng agreed.
The setting sun was like blood, and the horizon was tinged with a faint twilight. A chill hung in the air. Liu Feng pushed his motorcycle slowly forward, the wheels making a soft sound as they rolled across the ground.
Zhu Shuang held Xiao Tiantian tightly as she followed Liu Feng.
The three of them formed a heartwarming scene. From a distance, they looked like a loving young couple walking together with their child.
A cold wind occasionally swept by, and Zhu Shuang unconsciously tightened her embrace, afraid that Xiaotiantian would get even a little cold.
Liu Feng noticed this small movement and turned his head to ask softly, "Are you cold? How about I hold Little Sweetie?"
Zhu Shuang gently shook her head, her refusal tinged with tenderness: "It's not cold, I'll just hold her."
They walked on silently, their footsteps echoing in the quiet road. The trees along the roadside were bare, their branches swaying in the wind, as if telling the story of winter.
Every now and then, a few fallen leaves would drift down, twirling in the air before finally settling lightly on the path beneath their feet, adding a touch of poetry to the journey.
Zhu Shuang's gaze kept falling on Liu Feng, her heart filled with emotion and reluctance, and she walked even slower.
She guessed that Liu Feng must have experienced many things during those five years he disappeared. Back then, when Liu Feng was admitted to Jinghua University, he must have aroused the envy and jealousy of countless classmates.
Later... came countless jeers and mockery.
Zhu Shuang finally asked the question that had been on her mind: "Liu Feng, what's the name of the girl you married?"
Liu Feng: "Her name is Yu Jingya."
