Chapter 49 Building a wedding tent

In bustling Hong Kong, Liu Feng accompanied Yu Jingya for a week of fun, during which they also met with high-ranking officials from various companies.

Afterwards, they embarked on their journey back to their hometown, and Lin Xia would definitely handle the rest properly, so they didn't need to worry about it.

Yu Jingya and Liu Feng arrived at Liu Village together.

The once empty space at the village entrance has now been transformed into a grand wedding tent, large enough to accommodate over a thousand people. Workers are busily engaged in their tasks, and the entire scene is filled with joy.

This will be the place where Liu Feng and Yu Jingya walk down the aisle.

According to local tradition, regardless of wealth, weddings are held in the family's hometown. If space is limited, a temporary tent is erected in the courtyard or in front of the house to receive guests from all directions.

In the hearts of the villagers, only with the witness of relatives and friends in their hometown can they truly feel the liveliness and joy of the wedding.

At the edge of the wedding tent, Old Man Liu was chatting with several uncles.

Liu Feng, accompanied by Yu Jingya, hurriedly stepped forward to greet them.

As he walked, he took out a box of fine cigarettes from his pocket. Yu Jingya lowered her eyes, smiled shyly, and gently clasped her hands in front of her.

Liu Feng approached the group and respectfully said, "Grandpa, uncles and elders, hello." As he spoke, he offered cigarettes to each of them in turn, his movements natural and practiced.

When Old Man Liu saw them, his eyes were filled with relief and joy, and the wrinkles on his face seemed to smooth out with his smile.

The uncles and elders all smiled warmly, accepted the cigarettes, and some even patted Liu Feng on the shoulder, praising, "Little Si is really something, finding such a beautiful wife."

Liu Feng turned to look at Yu Jingya with embarrassment, his eyes full of tenderness.

Yu Jingya blushed, gently raised her head, bowed to Old Man Liu and her uncles, and said in a clear and melodious voice, "Hello, Grandpa, hello, uncles."

Nearby, several children were playing and laughing.

When Liu Lanlan saw Liu Feng and Yu Jingya, she happily led a chubby-faced little boy over and cheerfully called out, "Fourth Uncle, Fourth Aunt!"

Yu Jingya was delighted to hear the title "Fourth Sister." She turned to Liu Feng and asked, "Where's the candy?"

Before Liu Feng could answer, Yu Jingya took a handful of candy from his pocket and gave it to Liu Lanlan and her little brother. Finally, she distributed the remaining candy to the other children.

Just then, the eldest brother, Liu Xingman, came out from inside the wedding tent and happened to witness this scene. He laughed and called out, "Lanlan, give the candy to Daddy! Children shouldn't eat candy, it will cause cavities."

Upon hearing her father's voice, Liu Lanlan immediately abandoned her younger brother and ran away, calling out as she ran, "Dad, this is children's candy, you can't eat it!"

Upon seeing this, Liu Feng couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Liu Xingman then turned to Liu Feng and said with a smile, "Fourth brother, you and your wife are back. Why is the wedding venue so huge, and so tall?"

Liu Feng explained, "Brother, the venue is bigger so that relatives and friends will have a place to stay when they come. As for building it so high, it's for a better stage effect."

Liu Xing nodded, his eyes showing approval: "That's right, our fourth brother's wedding should be lively and grand."

He then looked at Yu Jingya and said with a smile, "Sister-in-law, you have such good taste. Our fourth brother is both capable and loyal. From now on, you two should live a good life together and make our Liu family more and more prosperous."

Yu Jingya smiled shyly and nodded gently: "Don't worry, big brother, Liu Feng and I will be fine."

The crowd stood by the tent, watching the busy workers and the gradually taking shape wedding venue, their hearts filled with anticipation.

The distant mountains stretch endlessly, as if silently guarding this peaceful village and witnessing the upcoming wedding of Liu Feng and Yu Jingya.
