Chapter 59 The Marble Scandal

After discussing the spicy snacks...

Liu Feng then took out his comic book, "My Martial Arts Academy," counted out 40 pages from the artwork, and handed them to Uncle Zhang, asking him to help submit it for publication.

Currently, there are four well-known comic magazines in China: "Teenage Comics", "Hua Wang", "Comic King", and "Humor Master".

Any one of these four companies is acceptable.

Liu Feng was confident that he could earn some royalties, because the predecessor of his comic book, "My Martial Arts Academy," was a global bestseller.

Its outstanding sales record, with over 100 million copies sold, is the best proof of that.

Uncle Zhang took the comic and flipped through a few pages. He was very impressed with Liu Feng's calligraphy and painting skills.

So he readily agreed and said he would submit the drawing as soon as possible.

The two continued talking in the room until late at night.

Uncle Zhang looked a little tired, so Liu Feng quickly took out a bottle of Qi-replenishing pills from his magic gourd and handed them to him: "Uncle Zhang, these are Qi-replenishing pills that I made myself. Take one to refresh yourself."

Uncle Zhang took the pill, and after swallowing it, he felt refreshed and invigorated, as if he had been reborn. He praised Liu Feng's alchemy skills highly: "Shi Yu, your alchemy skills have caught up with or even surpassed your master's."

Liu Feng smiled modestly, then took out the "Immortal King Life-Saving Pill" and the "Primordial Essence Replenishing Pill" and asked Uncle Zhang to help him auction them off to raise funds.

He plans to invest all the funds he raises in technology stocks.

Finally, Liu Feng also brought out the "Peach Wood Ruyi" and "Da Qing Yi Bai" antiques that he had previously acquired at a bargain price, hoping that Uncle Zhang could auction them together to raise more funds.

The two chatted until the wee hours of the morning before finally resting.

The next morning, Ma Wen drove Liu Feng to school. When the car was still some distance from the school, Liu Feng got out of the car ahead of time.

He walked into the school with a big smile on his face, carrying his schoolbag.

As soon as they arrived in the classroom, Liu Feng told Wang Juan about submitting the comic: "Wang Juan, we've already found someone to help us submit our comic, and I'm sure we'll hear good news soon."

Wang Juan was also very excited after hearing this, and the two of them looked forward to the moment the comic was published.

Soon, the second math class began.

When the homeroom teacher, Ms. Li, entered the classroom, she announced some news: Next month, the county will hold a "county-wide primary school elite competition", which is only for fifth graders, and each class will send 5 students to compete.

Liu Feng, Wang Juan, and Xu Zhi have been selected as class representatives, and two more slots are yet to be filled.

Teacher Li called the three of them to his office and encouraged them to continue practicing problems, to come to him anytime if they encountered any questions, and to strive for good results in the competition.

The setting sun shone through layers of leaves, casting its light on the open ground in front of the school.

Every day after school, a group of children gather here to play marbles.

Today, Liu Fei noticed that his older brother Liu Feng's class had extended their dismissal time, so he and several classmates joined in the marbles game.

With his exceptional skills and luck, he won one battle after another, accumulating more and more marbles.

However, Yang Kun was a child who refused to admit defeat. He refused to give up the marbles after losing, acted helplessly, and even spoke rudely.

Not to be outdone, Liu Fei retorted with a few words, and Yang Kun, unable to withstand the retort, stormed off in a huff.

A short while later, Yang Kun returned with his older brother Yang Hu, who was in fifth grade, looking very aggressive.

As soon as Yang Hu arrived, he grabbed Liu Fei by the collar and threatened him fiercely, "I heard you bullied my brother and even won a marble from him, is that right?"

Liu Fei struggled to explain, but Yang Hu wouldn't listen and raised his fist to strike. Liu Fei closed his eyes in fear, thinking to himself that he probably wouldn't escape a beating today.

Just then, a cold shout rang out: "Stop!"

Yang Hu was taken aback and put Liu Fei down.

Following the sound, the onlookers looked in the direction of the voice and saw Liu Feng walking quickly over with a schoolbag slung across his shoulder.

He was followed by classmates Wang Juan, Xiong Biao, Yu Jingya, and Xu Zhi, all of whom were students in Class 5-1 and had just come out of school.

Liu Feng walked over to Liu Fei, gently patted him on the shoulder, and asked what had happened.

Listening to Liu Fei's account, his eyes turned cold as he looked at Yang Hu and Yang Kun: "If you can't handle losing, why are you even out playing? Aren't you ashamed? If you can't play, fine, but you even dare to hit people? Where did these hooligans come from?"

Enraged by this, Yang Hu retorted, "Oh, I am a rogue, so what? Let's have a go!"

After saying that, he raised his fist and punched Liu Feng.

Liu Feng remained unmoved, slightly shifting his body to dodge Yang Hu's punch.

Then, Liu Feng kicked out, knocking Yang Hu to the ground.

He fell flat on his face.

Seeing his brother being knocked down, Yang Kun rushed towards Liu Feng, only to be kicked down by Liu Feng as well.

Liu Feng looked down at the two Yang brothers, got up from the ground, and said coldly, "Come at me together!"

Yang Hu was extremely embarrassed and angry, and together with his younger brother Yang Kun, he pounced on Liu Feng.

The result was the same; both of them were kicked down by Liu Feng.
